Never ordering from here again. I Ordered the Sushi Sashimi combo and there was more IMITATION CRAB than anything else. Even the rolls that came with it were imitation crab and avocado. This is our regular sushi spot. I get the tricolor sushi and it never disappoints. Always very fresh tasting.

I'm sure their sushi is fine given all the good reviews but I came in here wanting ramen and got the vegetarian option. First off, I was expecting the traditional soy marinated ramen egg with the jammy center but got a fried egg with a very hard and chalky yolk. I'm also pretty sure they used chicken broth because there were some fatty pieces floating around in it, but I honestly don't even remember what chicken tastes like so who knows. It was so bland that I had to dump a bunch of soy sauce in it. Honestly I was too hungover to care and it definitely helped to cure that lol it's a cute spot and I'll definitely come back to get some veggie sushi or something but definitely ask questions if you have any dietary restrictions. read more

the space is pretty small and the service is almost non existent but the food is really worth coming back for if you live in the area. $40 for an omakase. 8 pieces of sushi for $40. we ended up having 3 diff toro nigiri plus toro rolls, 1 uni, 2 whitefish. it was really not bad at all for $40. the blue moon roll was very good. we ordered 2. not really sure if i will come back since it's a distance fir me to commute, but i enjoyed my time here. very affordable and pretty fresh. read more

This place has just about one million items on the menu, making our decision rather difficult, but everything we ordered was delicious. Bai Sushi is very much a no frills sushi joint. It kind of feels like one of those places that you'd always order delivery from but never actually visit, if that makes sense. For being pretty empty on a Tuesday night, the food took quite some time, and we were essentially ignored by our waiter. It took a very long time to get his attention to pay, and when we did, it turned out he had accidentally overcharged us by $7. Bai is legit one of those spots you don't want to tell anyone about because you enjoy it so much and don't want it to get crowded. That being said, I'm moving back to Los Angeles so now it's ok to post about it. This has been our favorite sushi restaurant in the city. The sushi is great as well as the rolls. The staff has always been good and friendly. And the price point is very reasonable. We have introduced many friends to Bai and all have really enjoyed the food. I came here on a Saturday afternoon as I heard great things about this place, but o m g I was shook!!! First of all, I was pleasantly attracted to the restaurant because of their cute Japanese-style interior design along with their small and cozy space. The waiter, Peter was super hospitable and immediately seated me and my friend. Since it was my first time here, I was having trouble with what to get, so Peter was very helpful and recommended some of his favorite dishes to us. We decided to start out with the Rock Shrimp Tempura and the Soft Shell Crab. When I popped the rock shrimp in my mouth, I was very surprised of how crunchy it was on the outside, and at the same time, how tender the shrimp was inside. The crab was surprisingly good too and that's a lot to say, as I'm not a huge crab fan haha. We then ordered the Emerald Island with the Bai Naruto and let me tell you-- this was amazing!! The tuna went perfectly when drenched with the wasabi-vinegar sauce and to top it off, the avocado/ tuna/ salmon/ yellowtail/ crabmeat wrapped in cucumber added a nice, fresh touch to it. This was only the beginning-- next up, we got something on the secret menu: White tuna with spicy tuna on top and peanut sauce. This was actually one of my favorites!!! I'm not too sure if this one is on the menu, but you can ask for it if you'd like to try it! At this point, my taste buds were fired up, so I needed MORE!!! I asked for some assorted sushi rolls (you can look at my pictures) and everything was super fresh and tasty.... oh my gad! YOU MUST TRY THE TITANIC ROLL-- it literally melts in your mouth.... I came here for a birthday dinner and it is a cute little hole in the wall. The place is small and cozy. The staff was very nice and the place was affordable. At one point, found her eating, having a dinner break during service and being the only waitress. Lol! I always find that off-putting when I see that because I don't think that's something you should do in middle of service and then out in the open so everyone can see you while you need help. Bai Sushi is cool for a quick lunch especially for solo diners like myself. I sat down a waitress handed me the menu never gave me her name. She asked me if I wanted water but gave the table next to me water without them asking I thought that was odd. I had to also ask her for a straw which I do feel like should just be given. As for the food ordered the shrimp gyoza, spicy crab roll, and shrimp tempura. I could've passed on the gyoza it was okay. The spicy crab roll wasn't spicy I ordered spicy mayo on the side to give it that kick. My shrimp tempura was nice and hot so that's probably the best thing I had.
