I have taken my family of 4 there quite a few times sense the weather has been heating up. First couple times was great but lately there quality has been seriously slipping!!! 2 times we have gone and ended up with shaved ice that was nothing but flavorless snow in the middle and left us very disappointed! And we just went this afternoon and again it was mediocre. Don't let them "flat top" your order if your going drive through because that cuts out a lot of what you order. The drive through is also always seriously lacking in service generally. The girls that run it are always flirting with guys from there school (I assume) that drive through and talking about there weekend plans on the headsets. With that in mind I do think the fun and laid back atmosphere should be well maintained but attentiveness, service, and QUALITY should be equal priorities also!! GET THE DRIVE THROUGH SPEAKER/MIC FIXED UP.......I always have to repeat my order about 3 times! I use to go to the one in Mesa, AZ once a week during the summers and it was always perfect. This location has crashed and is burning. Normally I love Bahama Bucks but recently as I got my Ice, the cashier was rude and the Ice was choppy and thick. Not pillowy and heavenly like it should be. The brunette teen angrily took my payment like it was a burden for her and an inconvenience to her for taking her away from her phone. As my order became ready, she opened the sliding window and forcefully shoved my drink tray through my window, even knocking a spoon onto the pavement below. With a huff and an eye roll, she retreated back through the window to retrieve another spoon. Then she snapped the spoon sharply into place, just within reach for me to grab it. Since Mark and Stephanie left, this place has slowly receded in quality and in turn, taken my desire for my Bahama Rama Mama right down the slope with it. read more

First of all, let me say how much I love Bahama Buck's. However, this location is the worst!!! I have come here multiple times when they are supposed to be "open" and they are closed!! Least flavorful snow cone I've ever had. Just ice with the slightest dusting of flavoring. Excited they had condensed milk, until I had a minute drizzle. Just get your snow cone in the local grocery store parking lot. 100% of shacks I've been to have better snow cones. read more

There are some misconceptions about the "flat top" option they give you that's misleading and unfair to this establishment. Your typical order comes with shaved ice over the top of the cup pretty substantially. The flat top option puts it in a LARGER cup than you ordered but doesn't (obviously fill it up). For example if you order a small and ask them to flat top it then they put it in a medium sized cup so it doesn't melt or spill when you drive home. They're not ripping you off or short changing your order. Now I liked BB at first but lately I'm disappointed. They're drowning the shaved ice in syrup to the point it's almost liquid. Their customer service is not the greatest. Many reviewers have commented that the cashiers are too busy flirting with their classmates to provide any customer service. This is true. This is the second time in one week I have sat in the drive through for more than ten minutes and actually driven away. First time I actually backed up and drove away after ordering. The second time we sat in line for twenty minutes and one car got their order taken. Eight cars were piled up behind us, into the road. And when we got out of line and pulled out there weren't any cars up to the drive through window. This place does not know how to process and execute an order. I won't ever go back. read more

I wanted to like this better than I did. The product was okay, but, the service was lacking. It is very busy in the summer and there does not seem to be enough staff nor an organized process for making everything, which we were able to see because we were waiting quite a while. Suggest a larger prep area with a long counter to help create an assembly line process for orders. read more

I love this place. Always a better quality shaved ice than most places. Cut the staff some slack, most of them are young kids, and the place is still somewhat knew. If I've ever had too little flavor in my ice (or anything wrong with it) you can just let them know and they will make it right for you. Make sure you meet the owner mark (the guy with the moustache) and his wife Stephanie. Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I never got to go to the AZ or TX locations but I definitely love this place and prefer it to other shave ice shacks. The atmosphere is awesome and very laid back. read more

Only go if you don't care about slow service, losing money and not getting the flavors you ordered. Go if you like a whole lot of excuses and lack of service. We were so excited to go try it out! So we went last night and ordered two shaved ice, one medium one small each with two flavors at the drive through. They were not that busy (9:30pm) and we were the only car in the drive through. First of all we sat at the window for a long time (over five minutes) and no one ever bothered to greet us or ask us to pay. There must have been eight girls in there running around. Then a girl brings the first ice, a medium, announcing one of the flavors not even close to what we ordered (ordered cotton candy and wedding cake, got cotton candy and white coconut) when she handed it to us we said that isn't the flavor we ordered she says "oh just keep it I will make a new one". Um ok. We are in the car there are only two of us. It's 9:30 at night and we don't need or want an extra one. But she wouldn't take it back and throw it away. Whatever. Then a few minutes later a different girl comes to the window and says "do you need something"? I say yeah, we are waiting for our ice and I haven't paid! She giggles asks what we ordered and takes my card charges it and we see on the receipt the flavor was rung in wrong so not the girls fault who made he first one. Whatever. Then about five minutes later someone comes to the window with two small shaved ice. Ok that's not what we ordered, we ordered a medium and a small. So I tell her the one isn't the right size. That I ordered and just PAID (I think) for a medium - she says "oh I'm sorry just keep it I'll go make the right size!" I say NO we already have one extra we don't want which was made wrong, we've been waiting more than fifteen minutes I'll just take the small but I paid for a medium. She says oh! I'm sorry about that. Never offers to give me the difference in change or anything! I say, you owe me the difference and she says "I don't know how to do that!" At this point I am completely frustrated. My son is like "let's just get out of here" the whole experience was just ridiculous. The ice texture was great, flavors just ok. Sort of tasted dull or watered down. Unless something drastically changes or we are with a group that wants to go I'll spend my money at a shack where the service is better. read more

Shaved ice was good but the staff is mostly teenagers who were very immature. Ordered a Orange cruiser and they ran out of dome tops after already putting the whip cream on top so they scraped it off with a spoon. Which was perfectly fine with me until the guy making it licked his fingers and kept touching everything and even left the outside of my cup sticky. I've been to this Bahama Bucks location several times and it seems to me that the service was great at the beginning but has steadily declined. Yesterday was not a good experience at all. 5 to 6 employees, two of them throwing ice at each other, two of them actually shaving the ice and adding the juice and toppings and one bouncing from person to person distracting everyone. Someone wearing a gold badge came out of the back a couple of times. He was older then the others and I assumed was either the manager or the owner but he didn't seem aware of what was going on out front or if he was aware he didn't do anything about it. Rarely was someone manning the cash register when people came in, they ended up waiting quite a while before someone noticed they were there. Bahama Buck's is set up so that the people standing in line waiting to receive their shaved ice can see exactly what's going on with the employees. In this case I'm not sure that set up is a good idea. There were eight of us lined up waiting for our orders, that had been paid for, for 30 minutes, while watching this obnoxious display of inept service. You have a great product and a great location. It would be a shame to ruin your business with such poor service. read more

The drinks at Bahama Bucks are less than great, even with the cream added. One of the girls there, Gretchen, knows customers by name and makes them feel welcome, even though she looks as though she never gets a break. Her great customer service is the only reason I continue to spend $5 on shaved ice. read more

This place is incredible!! My favorite is the shaved ice Bahama Rama Mama style, where they add a layer of ice cream on the bottom and sweet cream on the top. Amazing. Great service and yummy treats... So happy this place is in Utah. I'm definitely coming here at least once a week. read more

This place is the best snow cone you will ever eat, and all if their treats are PRIME. But PLEASE make the wait shorter! I do not understand why I have to wait for 15 minutes (no exaggeration) for a frostalatte. I just wish I could get the deliciousness in my hands a little faster. I've been to this location several times, but today was probably my last. Each time I go I am amazed at how slow the service is. On the Fourth of July I got three shaved ice treats. Two of them had no syrup on the bottom because too little was added. I also experienced poor customer service because the employee didn't understand any of my requests and took a long time. There was only one car in front of me in the drive thru, but I waited 15 minutes after ordering to get my treats. read more

Literally waited for 30 minutes in the drive through to place our order but it's a summer night so we assumed they were busy. When we got up to the window and tried to order we had to repeat ourselves several times for them to get it correct and then we were informed that the fruit cup we ordered they didn't have. We then waited 15 more minutes to get our one baby size snow cone. Probably won't be coming back. They didn't even thank us for our patients or say sorry for the wait. Very slow location. While watching the employees behind the counter, I was appalled at the lack of structure and organization I saw. I used to work at a Bahama Bucks and I know what a good system looks like--this location needs a better system of who does ordering/making the sno/drive thru orders. There were some employees standing around doing nothing or talking to each other when there was a long line. The snow wasn't dry, so that was a huge plus! We were having a birthday party for our daughter and she doesn't like cake, so we thought of something different and fun - snow cones!!! Bahama bucks was the perfect place! This is not shaved ice it's snow. Fluffy powder snow. It's not like snow one shacks where the flavor sinks to the bottom with the crunchy ice. The flavor are amazing, the options are incredible, and the service? Awesome. The people are so friendly and they even gave me a free snow ball for my dog sitting in the passenger seat, and he loved it! read more

Bahama bucks is amazing! I had it in Arizona for the first time and was hooked. The draper location is fantastic and I couldn't be more happy with the service I received. When I first went them ploys and messed up my order but I took it back and they made me a brand-new one with no hassle. My wife's order had been mixed very poorly and took it back for it to be fixed. After enjoying our shaved ice the owner Mark came out and asked how everyone in the store liked their order. After sending my wife's frustration he kindly gave us a free one and sincerely apologized for the mistake. He assured that he would fix the problem in the back with his team. I couldn't be more pleased with how the business is ran and love the energy there and how Clean the store is. The management is awesome! They even have games you can play while enjoying your drink/shaved ice. I will forever be a Bahama customer! Great job! read more
