This is a hidden gem. My brother-in-law suggested we come here for a birthday, and we made a reservation for a party of 8. First off, they have their own parking lot. There is beautiful outdoor seating. The service is fantastic. The staff checked on us frequently. They bring out a tray of crackers and tortillas, ceviche, along with a mix of salsas/hot sauce. The food and drinks were great. There is a condiment tray on the table with 15 different hot sauces. I had the tacos, empanadas, rice and beans, and I tried the steak from my husband. Everything was good! My kids enjoyed the quesadillas, french fries, and pan de ajo. Their nonalcoholic mocktails are DELICIOUS! Then there was live music. Honestly, this restaurant was such a good time and experience. I hope to go back soon!
My absolute favorite place for Ceviche Service is always food and portions are perfect. If you love seafood you have to come here.

What a great addition to the neighborhood. They have a nice little parking lot, but it does get full, especially during the peak hours. Luckily there's more tables than there is parking. We were able to get seated right away and received great service all the way through the end. They start you off with a cup of clam chowder. It's a nice touch especially during the winter months. Most other Mariscos places will serve you fish ceviche, which isn't bad at all, Baha just decided to change it up a bit. My wife ordered their Strawberry Piña Colada and I ordered their Jalapeño con Pepino Mezcalita. Both were very delicious. The Strawberry Piña Colada tasted very tropical and made me feel I was on an island until I looked outside the window. The Mezcalita was very refreshing and has a hint of spiciness. Would definitely order these again. For our entrees, my wife ordered their Ceviche Tropical. This was made with fish, shrimp and mango. I've never had ceviche with mango and I must say was quite tasty. The mango added some sweetness that went perfectly with this dish. I ordered their Coco a la Diabla. My go to dish at any Mariscos restaurant is a Piña Rellena, but I already have a place that I go to for that so I wanted to switch it up a bit and order something different here. So instead of in a pineapple, you get a stuffed coconut full of mixed seafood, in a spicy red sauce. And it was indeed spicy but with so much flavor. You get a mixture of shrimp, calamari and octopus and covered in cheese. Overall we left very satisfied and very full. What a perfect evening and I can't wait until I come back. I highly recommend this place.
I almost don't want to write this review. I feel that this hidden gem is going to blow up, and then I will not be able to just walk in whenever I want. This is a new-ish place in the northwest side of Chicago and it was a pleasant and surprising addition to our neighborhood. The place is big and nicely decorated and boasts an incredible Mexican inspired seafood menu. The drinks are wonderful! I just can't say enough about them. Very upscale and very delicious. We ordered the Levanta Muertos, and the salmon à la Plancha. Both were amazing! The levanta muertos has this Nayarit sauce that is silky and elegant and a delightfully complex. Similarly, the Salmon has a hit of it and was to die for. All in all, a Great experience and will definitely be back!

Everything is wonderful and the patio! at 4 PM. We got a parking spot two in their lot, a heart shaped dish of guacamole and a variety of empanadas as well as a delicious cocktail. Please see my pictures for results!
FIRST OF ALL A HIDDEN GEM! been in the area for 10+ years and recently decided to check it out. Great in and outdoor seating. The decor wonderful! They had a dj out front parking lot FREAKIN AWESOME! Perfect volume, the food was outstanding, The oysters were chefs kiss FRESH. The drink flight! THE DRINKS! The bartender definitely knows what they are doing. Will most definitely visit again!
Baja is the fresh catch in the large sea we call Chicago. This place has a heavy seafood menu, but they also have traditional Mexican dishes from the land. The location is a bit outa the way on the far northwest side, but the trip is worth it. The large patio is a great place to enjoy a smokey Old Fashioned, or a Margarita. The staff is a delight as well for birthday celebrations.

This place is really cool. The staff and band are so friendly. I was seated around 3pm on a Sunday afternoon pretty quickly and the wait staff were quick to come to my table. I ordered a pina colada and that's it. I just wanted to sit back and enjoy the band and I definitely did. The band was so nice and inviting. They danced with a lovely older woman and then convinced her to sing a song with them. It was quite entertaining and awesome to see. Would definitely come back here to try the food and see the band again. read more

I decided to stop in by Baha after work for some Friday night dinner, and left a very happy customer (and very full)! For starters, the place is absolutely beautiful- seems brand new in terms of design and layout, and the location offers free parking on their property for customers. In terms of food, I had the shrimp empanadas for a starter and they were absolutely delicious, and come with a sauce that makes every bite even more enjoyable. The Chile relleno entree (peppers stuffed with seafood) was absolutely delicious, and quite filling to say the least. Lastly, their shrimp and fried fish tacos were also delicious. The seafood is seasoned nicely, the flavors are very well balanced, and more than anything the food is fresh. It's been quite some time since I've been this impressed by a new location, and I certainly plan to come back. Also, the staff is excellent! Baha didn't disappoint . It's definitely not your regular Nayarit sea food, they incorporated a Guadalajaran sea food seasoning. Loved how they were very attentive the waitress kept making sure everything was OK. We had the Langosta Rellena , the Langosta was big, the rice portion was more than enough. For drinks we ordered The Mezcalito Tamarindo , El Escorpion, La Mula chula (highly recommend) and a Mezcal oyster shooter called Caballito that one It was OK it was on the warmer side. For my kid I ordered a steak tacos and let me tell you it was delicious too , yes I took a bite out of it! Dessert was on the house for being their opening week. They had a live trio group playing to some good Norteñas. The owner and the hostess came up to ask if everything was going great they were super friendly. I wish them the best to this new place . I will begin here, I have been waiting for this location to open since I saw the coming soon sign. I found out Baha opened through the Belmont Craign United social media page. I am glad I finally stopped in. From the start, the exterior draws your eyes and pulls you in. The moment we walked in, we were greeted instanly. Friendly staff outright, from the start of the experience until we left. Very clean location. The appetizer did hit the spot. Water we two glasses in a very cold twist bottle was a nice surprise. The sangria (soda bottle) was prepared in a large mug with fruit, it was delicious and well prepared. The shrimp taco was amazing along with the carne asada tacos did hit the spot. Well prepared, the side of rice and fries were freshly made and was a perfect addition. It was worth the wait. I am glad this location open. Welcome to Belmont Craign. I will back soon. This was my first time coming to this restaurant and I'm so glad I did! Since it was Friday, they had live Mariachi music playing in the restaurant which I loved. The staff is so friendly, the pl super clean and new inside, the outdoor area is super cute and colorful! The food was delicious. I had steak fajitas which also had avocado and rice on the side for it. I ordered a strawberry piña colada (tasty and the drink was huge!) My friend ordered shrimp stuffed pepper and we shared a side of guacamole and shrimp empanadas. I would've liked a little more lime and salt on the guac. Other than that, all of the food tasted fresh, the food came out very quickly, and our waitress always made sure we had what we needed. Can't wait to come back again!! read more

Absolutely Amazing! Staff, FOOD, drinks were great! My family and I have been to multiple sea food restaurants but Baha surely sets the bar high for all the others. The pasta de Mar is delicious here . Plates are well served and beautifully plated. Portions aren't too small either. Piña Colada is also amazing- not too sugary, very well balanced with the alcohol. The servers are great and very sweet. All in all we loved it & it surely is the restaurant to go when you're craving sea food! Todo estuvo delicioso. Muy buen servicio. Muy limpio. Wow! Wish I could give 9 stars. My husband and I came on a beautiful Friday evening with our 17-month-old daughter. They had a fantastic mariachi band from 6pm-8pm that serenaded my daughter -- she fell in love :). We were seated promptly on the clean patio surrounded by colorful flowers and greenery. Left the umbrella down. They brought a highchair for our baby and immediately served an amazing seafood salsa with bottomless tostadas. We started with the blood orange mezcalrita and lime bloody mary, and Torre Sears ceviche tower. Worth. Every. Penny. The picture in their menu doesn't do it justice, just trust me on this. Then I got the Levanta Muerte for dinner -- a massive platter of mixed seafood, crab legs, rice, salad, and grilled veggies. My husband got the stuffed lobster. Our waitress was engaging for our daughter and so, so kind. She was attentive but not overbearing. Bill was only $140 for mountains of seafood, entertainment, and big drinks. We cannot wait to bring our friends and family back here! When word gets out on this place, it will be jamming! read more
