Amazing food and generous portions. My friend and I are sushi fiends, but decided to try a different fish focused cuisine and she chose Baha. Any place that has its own ceviche menu better bring it. Portions of ceviche tend to be skimpy, but not here. You could get by splitting this with someone and leave satisfied. Baha brings it alright. The menu is heavily seafood focused, but there are meat options as well. I've now been twice and can say the portions are huge. Both times I dined, I've had the shrimp. First el diablo and second the garlic-el diablo combo. It comes with rice, fries, salad, and garlic bread. Such wonderful food at an affordable price. Came here by myself for a quick dinner and it was very tasty!! I liked how they had indoor and outdoor seating, it was super nice out when I came so they had the doors and windows open inside the restaurant so the breeze was beautiful!! My waitress was really nice and made sure to check in. I wasn't that big of a fan of their ceviche cause of the fish they used but the Salmon dinner was sooo tasty! Nuzzled just west of all the commotion, this fanciful Latin seafood restaurant is a breath of relaxing, beach soaked air. I suggest touring the menu, and don't sleep on the pasta del mar- a fantastic cream pasta with various sea critters abound. Also, the bathrooms were really clean. This is a hidden gem. My brother-in-law suggested we come here for a birthday, and we made a reservation for a party of 8. First off, they have their own parking lot. There is beautiful outdoor seating. The service is fantastic. The staff checked on us frequently. They bring out a tray of crackers and tortillas, ceviche, along with a mix of salsas/hot sauce. The food and drinks were great. There is a condiment tray on the table with 15 different hot sauces. I had the tacos, empanadas, rice and beans, and I tried the steak from my husband. Everything was good! My kids enjoyed the quesadillas, french fries, and pan de ajo. Their nonalcoholic mocktails are DELICIOUS! Then there was live music. I can't speak to the food but we came for margs. The service staff were super attentive and kind. And when you sit down you get a few sauces, ceviche (I think), and crunchy selection. But OMG the drinks. I watched the bartender making the drinks and every. Single. Drink. Was made with such care. They even had the type where they smoke it with a glass top. What a great addition to the neighborhood. They have a nice little parking lot, but it does get full, especially during the peak hours. Luckily there's more tables than there is parking. We were able to get seated right away and received great service all the way through the end. They start you off with a cup of clam chowder. It's a nice touch especially during the winter months. Most other Mariscos places will serve you fish ceviche, which isn't bad at all, Baha just decided to change it up a bit. My wife ordered their Strawberry Piña Colada and I ordered their Jalapeño con Pepino Mezcalita. Both were very delicious. The Strawberry Piña Colada tasted very tropical and made me feel I was on an island until I looked outside the window. The Mezcalita was very refreshing and has a hint of spiciness. Would definitely order these again. For our entrees, my wife ordered their Ceviche Tropical. This was made with fish, shrimp and mango. I've never had ceviche with mango and I must say was quite tasty. The mango added some sweetness that went perfectly with this dish. I ordered their Coco a la Diabla. My go to dish at any Mariscos restaurant is a Piña Rellena, but I already have a place that I go to for that so I wanted to switch it up a bit and order something different here. So instead of in a pineapple, you get a stuffed coconut full of mixed seafood, in a spicy red sauce. And it was indeed spicy but with so much flavor. You get a mixture of shrimp, calamari and octopus and covered in cheese. Overall we left very satisfied and very full. What a perfect evening and I can't wait until I come back. I almost don't want to write this review. I feel that this hidden gem is going to blow up, and then I will not be able to just walk in whenever I want. This is a new-ish place in the northwest side of Chicago and it was a pleasant and surprising addition to our neighborhood. The place is big and nicely decorated and boasts an incredible Mexican inspired seafood menu. The drinks are wonderful! I just can't say enough about them. Very upscale and very delicious. We ordered the Levanta Muertos, and the salmon à la Plancha. Both were amazing! The levanta muertos has this Nayarit sauce that is silky and elegant and a delightfully complex. Similarly, the Salmon has a hit of it and was to die for. All in all, a Great experience and will definitely be back! read more

They only had one table in the other side with eight people, and there was three servers. When we asked for a second drink, she was not happy. It seemed like they were rushing us to leave that made us feel uncomfortable. I really don't know if I will go back with that kind of service. There is really great music constantly playing and the restaurant itself is really nicely decorated. The menu offers many options with a focus on seafood but also has many others. Each dish is HUGE. When you get seated you get a ceviche appetizer (for free!) and it's not some crappy ceviche. This Torre (tower) was absolutely delicious. Such a great way to start your meal any Baha. We tried- Guacamole- this guac was delicious and is a large portion. I have been sick of going places and getting two table spoons of guac. Not here! Here you get a large enough portion to share and have left overs. EL ESCORPIÓN (SERRANO-INFUSED TEQUILA, MEZCAL, LIMON, PINEAPPLE-SERRANO ICE SPHERE, CILANTRO) such a delicious cocktail- tangy, sweet, and spicy! Order one. CHILES RELLENOS ESTILO BAHA (Chiles rellenos de mariscos con salsa de la casa (poblano peppers stuffed with seafood). I was a bit apprehensive about this dish. I mean, chiles rellenos are such a staple of 'land' food and would it be any good filled with mariscos? Yes! Yes it was! So delicious. I highly recommend as they are a great twist on the classic. QUESADILLAS (Orden de 2 (two cheese quesadillas) we ordered this for my son and he loved it, also a large portion so he got lunch for the next day. PIÑA Del Mar (Piña rellena de mariscos con queso gratinado (pineapple stuffed with seafood & covered in melted cheese). This is a great, delicious rendition. On it's own it is not spicy but I added some salsa and it gave it the kick I wanted. The pineapple gives the dish a sweet taste couple with the creamy sauce and the fresh seafood it's a dance of different textures and flavors. All portions are huge and you can definitely share with another person. Since they have a large menu I think Baha is a great place to come with a large group, order a lot and just share the dishes. They have shows on Saturday night (singers) and they sing in between the tables. It can get loud and awkward (for me, I'm awkward). I would definitely go back but might need to skip the show on Saturday nights. I will be going back and trying the shrimp tacos and the lobster. Can't wait! read more

Great The free ceviche started us off on a high note and the food did not disappoint. Both our kids ate up and we really enjoyed our drinks and the music. Our only disappointment was that they didn't have the churros but all and all an A+ experience. We will definitely go back. We recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp, the shrimp quesadilla, and the steak tacos all were delicious and the steak was great quality steak. The first time I took my mother for an early dinner, it was fabulous! Great service and great food. The 2nd time we went, we went with the family to celebrate her birthday. The meal sides had been changed to rice and fries(!) and beans. I ordered mine with grilled veggies and the waitress gave me a hard time about this. We ordered grilled calamari and got 1 calamari with sliced octopus, not grilled, they were either steamed or boiled into rubber. She insisted they were grilled. Very disagreeable waitress. My grilled shrimp and veggies arrived, and the shrimp were dry and overdone, so were my mother's. My Paloma drink was delicious. As we were having our dinner, they began blasting music, so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk as the place is too small for the volume used. New isnt necessarily good. I ordered the Jamaica Mezcalita and an appetizer called Torre Sears as my meal. The Mezcalita was DELICIOUS. I did notice some other guests ordering Mezcalita flights and wish that I was offered that as an option! I will need to order it next time. The seafood tower was MASSIVE. Chock full of seafood - it actually left me wanting a bit more sauce or seasoning to go with it because it was a little bit on the blander side. My husband ordered the fajitas and it was phenomenal. So beautifully grilled and marinated! Definitely recommend. Overall, very excited to have this addition to the neighborhood and am excited to try other menu items.
