The food is very good! But I definitely stayed for the karaoke! Al pastor quesadilla was really delicious and came with guacamole. Hell yeah! The fish ceviche tostada was really fresh and tangy and delightful. The crowd is very supportive and the karaoke DJ is super nice. This space is really spacious. Good for groups. Good for a good time. You might not know it was tucked away seemingly in the middle of nowhere but definitely come to eat and sing! read more

This place exceeded expectations. We came in for a lunch on Valentiene's day and had an appetizer platter to share and some beers so we were just expecting basic good food but the shrimp and steak were cooked to absolute perfection. Fresh, flavorful and just expertly done. I'd come by again for sure. read more

Very good food for reasonable price. The staff is very kind and I live nearby so I love walking here to pick up my orders. I've also been here on a date and it was nice, and I could see coming here with a family earlier in the night :) read more

Great customer service the bartenders and workers make you feel at home. They have great music and karaoke. The Food here is amazing they have different variety. The best part about this place is the drinks. They have a lot to offer and are happy to make any drink you want if it's not in the menu. In all I would recommend family and friends to come around and check this place out. It doesn't hurt to sit down and have a drink here and there. read more

Aquarius Mexican Restaurant - Tampiqueña dinner So extremely tender and just mouth watering Loved it - Mexican Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

So lets set the expectations, The BEST Mexican food I have ever had in the city. They speak broken english but the menu is bilingual so that fixes that. Everything is fresh and made to order, beer ice cold, and service is quick! you gotta try their sample for 2: its guac and chips, pan seared shrimp, buffalo wings, and sautéed filet with jalepeno's. $18. enough for two at lunch, my bro and I usually get this with a couple tacos and are out of there for under $30 without beer cost. They also have a sampler with seafood, that has FRESH oysters. Best Mexican food, period, west of Damen read more

We had an hour to kill before catching the train, so we landed here in this strange little restaurant. It was fairly early in the day (noonish) for a Saturday, and they looked pretty unprepared for any visitors. Still, they were very nice and accommodating. The waitress, despite a little bit of a language barrier, was great. There was some kind of dance class going on, which was entertaining to watch. We ended up having to get our food to go because we were going to miss the train, but man, the food was incredible. I had an asada burrito, and my girlfriend had a cheese quesadilla and a side of beans. The beans tasted homemade -- delicious! We only wish we could have stayed and enjoyed it. I hope to be back someday. read more

This place was awful. The food was just blah but the service, good lord the service. I don't expect to be carried around on a pillow but I felt like a giant nuisance, not a customer. When I walked in the food server and bartender just blankly looked at me. Finally I asked "are you open?" to which one of the ladies answered "yes" and still just looked at me. Well may I sit down? "oh, yeah- wherever." After several minutes the food server made her way to my table, I asked for water and a margarita. Yes it was strawberry so I wasn't expecting anything spectacular- but what I got was a sloppy glass of what tasted like simple syrup and shaved ice. That was after 5+ minutes of me ordering it. Keep in mind I'm sitting right in front of the bar and the food server, watching them talk and fart around. If I got a quarter of the attention the staff's phones received, I would have felt like royalty. My steak/shrimp fajitas were ok. Again I know, not exactly authentic Mexican food but however I DO expect shrimp not to smell bad. Didn't feel like eating much of anything at that point. Yelp says they have WifI, there's a giant sign in the restaurant that says the have WiFI, however the food server told me they "turned it off" whatever that means. read more

Good serving size, carne asada steak was tender. The garlic shrimp serving size is fair but needs to be more garlicky. read more

They have good food, and awesome posole on Sundays. Friendly servers, and a casual atmosphere. read more

They have free salsa on Monday nights! Yes the lessons are in (mostly) English. I went recently for salsa. It supposedly starts at 7:00 but the teacher didn't even come until about 7:30. She was friendly, funny, and encouraging (though the combinations she tried to teach us were really complicated). She encouraged the ladies to be sexy, to tease our partners, give them a smooch if they were our "papi chulos." It was a mixed age crowd too. One nine or ten-year-old girl was showing us a thing or two! She did give some basic take-home tips, and I learned the "real" way to do a basic salsa. Parking is easy on Pulaski though the side street is permit. Check this place out if you're looking for a salsa date. I didn't try the drinks, though. read more

Ok so I can get past the sketchy atmosphere, but the guy serving us was also the bartender and he was hammered. I understand this is a small place and I really prefer not to be negative but we just felt uncomfortable and won't be back. Pacifico is our favorite. read more

I stopped in with my wife and a friend and none of our food was good. It was edible but that was about it. It seems like more of a local bar that has food and most of the business is in the evening. I am tempted to stop in and try the dance lessons sometime. It is at Altgeld and Pulaski. On Altgeld, the half of the block from the alley to Pulaski is *not* permitted parking. The other half is permitted parking so watch the signs carefully and don't try to park off the street by the fenced in parking lot as those vehicles do get tickets. read more

I called in and there was no one available who spoke English. I was lucky my boyfriend was there and when we asked if they offered dancing on the weekends, they were unsure. after passing the phone on to two other people, a lady flat out just said no and that was the end. Even if they did offer dancing, I am no longer interested in going as it seems no one knows what is going on. read more

An okay place. The service here is a bit slow and a few times had my food cold for pick up. The ingredients taste good overall but could use some improvement. The interior is set for a good nice out. read more

I've only had take out from here so I can't judge the actual establishment. Their tacos and burritos are awesome though. Discovered this place a couple months ago and we've become regulars. I used to literally love this place. I would recommend it to all my friends and family. However, the last few times the food has been too spicy. Not everyone likes spicy food. Also, i ordered for take out. They told me the wait was 20 minutes. I waited 30 minutes even tho they were completely empty. Ive worked in a restaurant so i didnt make a big deal of it. When I got home my order was wrong. The restaurant offers delivery so I asked if they could deliver the correct order and that i would return the incorrect one. They told me no. So i asked them if i could just pick up the correct order tomorrow they said no it had to be right then and there. Unfortunately, i have a two year old, which I explained to them, and i couldn't just pick up and go. Not my favorite place anymore. Not like it used to be. It seems like the last few times I have gone, there always seems to be an issue with either the customer service I receive or the order itself. read more

They confirmed my food order and never they delivered it. They are seriously less than two blocks away too. Not even a fan of their food just that they're close. In the past they would over an hour to deliver a few tacos. They are truly pathetic. read more

If I could give a restaurant negative stars, this would be the place. Came here on a weekend afternoon, and it was horrible. I get that it's a bar, and there will be drunk people, but the atmosphere was so out of order. The waitress seemed to have no clue when I asked her what a specific dish had, and never bothered to ask us how we were doing (we even had to ask a bartender for napkins). We were also the only ones who ordered food, while everyone was drinking, and still took them 50 minutes to serve us our food. On top of that, the food was very salty and the meat tasted old. Again, the waitress never checked in on us and looked annoyed. This was honestly the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The quality and service was terrible. Honestly guys, just go somewhere else. I'm surprised this place even exists, but I guess it's just a place for drunk people to hang out and eat at (food is always good when you're drunk, I guess). read more
