The food was amazing. We had Bun Bo Hue, Banh mi xiu mai, and xoi. Everything was delicious. Hope more people know about this hidden gem. Service was fast.

My friend really hyped up this Vietnamese spot in Houston for their bún bò Huế. We went to baguette and tea and ordered the combo that included pork hock, beef brisket, and beef shank. I also got their sugarcane juice with kumquat. The sugarcane juice came out first and it was so good. The kumquat provided a nice citrusy taste to it. The bun Bo hue comes with a plate of veggies. They also provide some chili oil, chili peppers, and a shrimp paste that makes the broth more salty. Their broth is actually not that spicy but it has a strong lemongrass flavor. They load up on the meat here and the portico is really big. The meat is so tender and soft, you barely have to chew to break them apart. I was pretty satisfied with this place

Today I tried the grilled pork chop with rice and egg, mixed sticky rice, and a cold cut bánh mì. The portions were very generous, and the prices are extremely affordable. I really enjoyed the atmosphere--it's bright, clean, and comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. This is definitely a place worth trying!

Let me start by saying the food was delicious and service was great I came with my work team and I ordered the shrimp with noodles . Everything was fresh and came out fast I also had a mango slush with jelly also really good Honestly the whole experience was 5 stars until well a roach run across the floor and my coworker stepped on it Made us second guess everything we ate. There's a difference in knowing most restaurants have roaches and actually seeing it Also if you don't eat pork ( such as many of my corkers ) please please ask them and let them know . My coworker ordered one of the soups and it only listed different parts of beef and boom a chunk of pork jelly was inside and he had to send his food back.

I really love this place! Situated at a bit less busier corner of Ai Hoa Marketplace, the place is bigger than expected once stepped inside. They have nice and huge window facing the streets. It's fun to just sit, eat and car watching lol The food is really tasty! I've tried their banh mis, soups and rice plates. Out of everything, their meatball banh mi and fried garlic chicken rice plate stood out the most. I keep coming back for those dishes. Other people that I've recommended those dishes said they love it! Their drinks are hit or miss. Staff is nice, polite and welcoming. Love this place and feel like they're so underrated and not hyped up enough.

Visited this spot on a Sunday afternoon for the first time today. There was available parking out front which is not always the case in the area, even just further down the strip center. You order your food and drinks up front at the counter and they bring your order out to your table. The restaurant is well lit with natural sunlight and the decor is new and gives bright and airy vibe. The food and drinks came out quick, portions were generous and the service was attentive and courteous. The employees came out to our table multiple times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything, which was nice. All our orders were tasty and I enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee, which was rich and creamy. They were able to accommodate our party of 8, which included two toddlers. Restrooms are clean. There is a $6 minimum charge for using credit cards, just FYI. We will definitely be back as their menu is pretty extensive and we really enjoyed our lunch here today.

This is one of the newer banh mi places around town, but it has become my favorite spots for banh mi and other Viet snacks. They always get my orders right, and everything is always tasty, fresh, and flavorful. The service is always good, and the store is super clean. My parents are not fond of most Viet food places around town, but even they like the foods from here because the foods taste similar to the ones they had when they lived in Vietnam. I always order to-go from here, either directly from the store or through a food delivery app, and the quality is never a miss. Some of my favorites are Xôi Thập Cẩm (Combo Sticky Rice), Bánh Mì Combo Thịt Nguội (Cold Cut Sandwich), Cơm Tấm Sườn Đặc Biệt (Combo Pork Chop Broken Rice), and Bánh Mì Heo Nướng (Grilled Pork Sandwich). Not everything is pictured, but I also really like their Bò Bía (Summer Roll), Strawberry Smoothie, and Nước Mía Tắc (Sugar Cane with Kumquat), and many other dishes and snacks that they have available.

Gave them a second chance with door dash order again. They got my order requests of no pate, no cucumber, no cilantro correct... But missing the mayo & extra mayo I paid extra for! Last time they didn't give me extra mayo I paid for as well. I know inflation is high, but they 2 slices of round cha lua log and cut in halves for my cha lua. The combo cold cut only cost 60 cents more came with extra cold cuts... The menu on door dash for the sticky rice combo doesn't say there's pate in there, but they put a slab of on there. I did appreciate they read my request for no peanuts.

Nice spot for Rice plates and soups They were out of the pork chop so they subbed it with grilled pork for the rice plate Nice portion sizes Service is minimal once you place your order at the front For water, you have to get up and ask for it at the counter , for example

This is my first time ever ordering Banh Mi from this establishment. I've previously ordered the Salted Foam Coffee aka Cà Phê Muối. The coffee here is really good I'll give it that but I'm a little confused and perplexed by the steamed pork roll banh mi aka bánh mì chả lụa. When I had called in to ask a question, one of the employees had answered and I had asked her how many slices of the steamed pork roll does it go into an order of banh mi? She responded and I quote " they weigh the banh mi and the steamed pork roll out to 8 oz exact. " This is the first time I have ever heard of this kind of response and to me I was a bit surprised. Steamed pork rolls are usually made in house. But then again some Vietnamese sandwich places do go through a vendor. I am just going to assume that due to inflation that the steamed pork roll is expensive. The Banh mi itself was $6.25 and I ordered through Uber Eats.

My friend recommended Baguette and Tea on the other side of Beltway. I rarely come here because traffic on Bellaire Blvd can be burdensome. I came here on a Saturday afternoon. It was not so busy. But as soon as I got my drink, people started to pouring in. I ordered Thai Green Tea with non-dairy milk, less sugar and medium ice. Employee asked if I want toppings. I normally don't want any. But since I asked for less ice, I would want to fill the cup with something extra. They recommended egg custard. Sounds good, but I know it has milk. Then, I looked the menu again thought basil seeds would be good. I saw their facial expression. Ha! I let them pick one for me. So, they chose grass jelly. The drink came out extremely smooth and taste perfectly to my desire. It made me want to come back to try other things on the menu. I saw some yummy looking noodle soups in pictures. I will bring a translator with me on my next visit.

I've been waiting on this spot to open for a very long time & now it's opened. I wanted to try a few items just to see what they're all about. The decor is very nice & the service from the cashier was excellent. Here's what I ordered. * Mango milk tea- The mango flavor was there but the tea was nonexistent & weak. Hopefully the next I order their milk/fruit teas that it'll have a strong flavor of green/black tea in it. 1/5 * Egg-rolls- they were alright to be honest, it tasted like it was frozen & then refried. Not homemade in my opinion. 2.5/5 * Com tam dac biet (combination)- it comes with Pork chop, sunny side up egg, egg meatloaf & shredded pork. Unfortunately they didn't have the shredded pork :( so I got double egg meatloaf instead & I added some grilled shrimp as well. It was a solid dish, definitely not the best. The pork chops were cooked nicely & it was tendered. The side soup that came with it wasn't good at all, it was bland, weird tasting & didn't have any flavor at all. 3.5/5 * Banh Mi combination (cold cut)- it was toasted nicely with a good amount of mayonnaise on it. It tasted fresh & was textbook made. 4.2/5 Overall it was a decent experience but the service is what gave it a 4. I didn't get the cashiers name but she was very helpful & kind. Will I come back? Yep. Next time I would like to try their Vermicelli bowl & Bun Bo Hue (I didn't even know they had BBH).

The filling is placed in a pan and then a thin layer of batter made with tumeric and coconut milk yellow batter is poured on top. You wrap the lettuce around the bánh xèo/bánh khọt and dip it in the fish sauce. I got the bánh khọt and the bò né. Bánh khọt is like a mini, thicker version of bánh xèo and came with nine pieces. Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. I didn't know there were vietnamese dishes that utilized mochi flour and now I can never go back. Every single item was so good. The mochi was cooked so perfectly as every bite was so chewy and soft with no hard clumps at all. The meat that came with them as well were so sweet and tender. The vermicelli plate was awesome too as you can make a wrap with the lettuce and veggies and rice noodles and they all come together to mouthwatering perfection. I found a new spot to hyperfixate on whenever I come to houston.

My favorite appetizers (in order): Banh beo chen, Banh ram it, banh bot loc, egg rolls, crystal dumplings. Personally I wasn't a fan of the paste-y texture of the banh nam but that is a personal preference! Service is not the most hospitable but very quick. We were reseated after spotting a cockroach under our table. But even so I would come back to have this amazing food any day.

The service was good, the ambience is super casual but the menu was phenomenal. They had artichoke and salmon pho! I clearly love a good pho and I was all for it! I got the artichoke pho with chicken and it was a 10/10!!! I wish this spot was in Atlanta where I live. I would most definitely be a regular. The fried rice and green beans chicken was awesome too. It was a 10/10 full flavor bomb. recommend.

There is a mural of Vietnamese landscape and an aquarium of arwanas. We started with mango salad with grilled pork and papaya salad with shrimp. Both dishes came with sweet and sour dressing. Mango was sweet and grilled pork was yummy. Papaya salad was fresh and a bit more subtle. We also ordered the fresh spring rolls. The old Saigon rolls came with mango and pork. Always liked mangoes. The other was regular fresh spring rolls with shrimp. The rolls came out last after when we got our Pho. Would have enjoyed it more if it came after the salads. I ordered the combination Pho with all the ingredients (brisket, eye round, tendon, meatball and tripe)a. There is only one size. There was a lot of noodles for the size of the bowl. They were generous with the meat. Wish they would have more soup. The soup itself was ok. Thought it was a little bland compared to others. Service was quick. It didn't take long to receive our order. They offer reusable wooden chopsticks. Will plan to try the other dishes other than Pho like rice plates next time.

This is a higher end fine dining restaurant so you should expect the portion sizes and price to be pretty comparable to a lot of other finer dining restaurants. Overall the food's flavor was fantastic. I ordered the king salmon clay pot. I thought the salmon was so tasty! They added pepper and sauce to the salmon - It was tender and flavorful and paired nicely with white rice. The quail (not pictured below) also was super flavorful and was cooked so well it tasted like beef. The soup was also light and refreshing, similar to a west lake soup. It was thicker consistency and had cilantro and chucks of lobster. The drinks served were also super balanced. We ordered the mojito and the dragon fruit cocktail. The mojito was the right balance between minty and sweet with just a hint of alcohol flavor. For the dragon fruit cocktail, it was very fruity, on the sweeter side but not overpowering and was topped with egg whites to give it a little bit of frothiness. I will say, we are slightly underdressed to enter this establishment. Everything seemed so luxurious and many people were in formal business wear! Keep this in mind if you go! There is a parking deck right next to the location as well, both self parking and valet!
