Over the past few years the quality of their sandwiches has gone down hill. Service isn't as friendly as it use to be. Prefer bagels and beyond or one of the local delis in the area. Sad to see such an lbi staple lose its charm. read more

The new location is awesome and the bagels are still great because they kept the same ovens. The outdoor seating area is a great spot to enjoy your breakfast and the staff super friendly ... especially considering the long summer and early morning hours. read more

My boyfriend and I came to Bageleddi's before going to the beach this past Sunday. We drove up and saw there was a line and I thought "Oh no, I better let him out so he can go stand in line while I park." Well I went and parked the car (really easily might I add, the parking lot right there was a savior) and he was already almost in the door! The line moves so fast even when busy. The food: Oh my GOSH were these amazing bagels. They were a hot and fresh batch of deliciousness. There's nothing better than a soft, hot bagel! I would definitely come back here next trip to LBI! read more

My wife and I visit LbI every year and during our visits, we always get breakfast at Bageleddi's! Best NY style bagels you can get on the island. It's a really low-key place and you'll see it very busy on the weekends while people are getting bagels or sandwiches for the beach. I always get the Steak, Egg, & Cheese on an everything bagel and it's delicious! Freshly made and will satisfy your needs at a price of $6.25. I highly recommend this place. **cash only** read more

Best LBI bagels. Fresh Fresh Fresh. Come early they seem to run short later in the am. And try their crumb cakes. One of our favorites. read more

Bagels so fresh they should be slapped! These are some of the choicest bagels you can find anywhere, ever, let alone on the island. Open early, and the perfect grab-and-go before an early morning surf fishing. Great bulk purchase for the ten hung over people staying at your house who need sustenance before another day of drinking beer on the kayaks. Strong variety, quality product, personable staff, ambiance for days. Strongly recommended. read more

Bageleddi's has done a great job adhering with customer safety and they always produce a great product. We love it here and their staff has been great! read more

This is a nice spot to go for good bagels on the island. Make sure to get there early. They have a great selection of bagels! Everything always looks so good when i go here. I think ill try the crumb cake next time. This place is worth a try. Stop driving by and go in. I've been going to LBI for 16 years and I finally stopped in.. not a disappoint, I'll be back in June ! read more

Our favorite breakfast on LBI. Bagels great and it is easy to get em while they are hot. True NY style though at a buck a bagel a bit on the pricey side. Great coffee cake and Apple turnovers too. Don't be discouraged by the lines on the weekends - they usually have lots of people working and they move quickly. read more

I loved the old location and the bagels are still decent. I found this experience negative, very unorganized and harrowing compared to other busy bagel shops on LBI for the price. Not sure if I'd go back, personally, but would still recommend others to check this place out. I understand the move for the outside space! read more

Service was good but one bagel was wrong, butter instead of cream cheese; bagels were on the small side

We've been going to Bageleddi's for years. Recently they move across the street to a new location. They have NY style bagels at their best! Long lines on holiday weekends. I would give their bagels a 4.5 star, location 3 star, service 3 star. Maybe I'm a creature of habit and perhaps I'll get use to their new location. Coffee 3 star, if you like strong coffee this is not the place. read more

Would have loved to try the bagels, called 27 times to order takeout, only to be met with a recording that the line was busy. Walked down to try to place an order, line was wrapped around the corner. We were trying to get to the beach early, so waiting that long wasn't an option. I totally understand that this is busy season, but get a better phone system, hire more people, do something to accommodate customers calling to order takeout. Disappointing.... read more

We started coming here last year at the old location. Always a line out the door. The new location is very modern and the outdoor seating is a nice addition. Good bagels. Decent coffee. Be prepared to sweat though ! There is no AC so waiting for that tasty bagel could cause heat stroke ! read more

They have quality products and the staff is really nice, however, they have some operational issues. First the lines. When you have a good product, you gotta be willing to wait, but if you're only ordering bagels there should be a "bagel only" line. (no exceptions. no drinks, not "just one danish", nothing BAGELS ONLY. Second: the air conditioning. I understand that the ovens are right in the main business area and that's heating it up, but add in the heat of summer day and the long wait and customers will bail. Also, they need to hustle just a teensy bit more... everyone here is honestly trying hard...plus working in the heat, but one worker was laying a danish in the bag like it was a crystal vase.... that's valuable time that needs to given back to the other customers patiently waiting. I'm not saying I would NEVER go back, but I'll never go back at 8am on a Saturday again. Worth the trip for good stuff but otherwise, plan your trip accordingly. read more

Great bagels, baked goods and coffee. Tried a few bagel places on the Island and this is hands down the best. You're not getting a NY bagel anywhere down there but if you're looking for a tasty pork roll, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, look no further. read more

Yummy bagels and a great selection of choices. The bagels are warm and toasty and there is a nice variety, and good cream cheese too. There are also several choices for sandwiches and the tuna is delicious. Although there is usually a line that goes out the door, it moves quickly and food is worth the wait. read more

Went into Bageleddi's looking for a simple bagel sandwhich and iced coffee. A long line was expected, since it was a Sunday morning on memorial day weekend. We waited in line for about 30 minutes to place our order. I ordered an iced coffee, but they were out of regular milk- the only options being almond and oat. I ordered an iced caramel latte with almond milk, and a bagel with sausage and bacon on it. My order was repeated to me correctly. I waited twenty minutes to get my order. The iced coffee came out with expired almond milk, tasting terribly. I checked my bagel and it only had bacon on it, when I paid for sausage and bacon. I asked for them to fix my order, and they pushed me to the side for ten minutes. They finally took me and told me my order would be right out. Twenty minutes later, I still haven't gotten my order and asked what was happening. The workers gave me attitude and told me my order was placed in the back of the line to be fixed. My bagel came out on a mini bagel, when I ordered and paid for a full bagel. Never coming here again. read more

Excellent bagel, nice and dense with a tasty crust. The everything had just enough topping and was delicious. Chocolate coffee cake was delicious too. read more

We love this place. Best bagels by far compared to all of the other local places. They're fresh and tasty and if you're from up north, you'll appreciate the authenticity even more. The restaurant is clean and the staff has always been very pleasant. The layout is perfect and large enough to accommodate the crowds when they get busy unlike other places. We love the cold brew, too. Go early because they get slammed. Also love the outdoor eating area on the side. read more

Been coming to LBI and Bageleddis for almost 30 years now. First time I've had a terrible experience. Not sure if there are new owners or a new sense of operations after moving, but the breakfast sandwiches are absolutely disgusting now. So much grease and egg everywhere they're almost uneatable. Sandwich contents are bigger than the bagels which are now jokingly smaller. Sandwich was almost impossible to even hold and hold together Ripoff and mismangement clear as day. Almost 30 years and probably never again. read more

Just spent the week in LBI, and this place was easy to find, relatively easy parking (if you like to get up early!), and solid bagels. Definitely recommend, and especially if you are driving onto the island just to grab breakfast - easy on, easy back over bridge. read more

I left a review two years ago after the new owners took over and I was disappointed in the unsteady schedule. I stated that I was forced to go to Bagels and Beyond, which USED to not be as good as Bageleddis, but given the current state of Bageleddis' bagels/breakfast sandwiches, I now much prefer Bagels and Beyond (for one thing, their everything bagels actually have stuff on there and aren't a weak attempt at throwing some seeds on a bagel). Bageleddis used to be my summer staple and a go to for many of the locals and lifeguards, but it has taken a steep downturn under the new ownership. I've tried returning last summer and this year..still no bueno. Like many other past repeat customers, this place is off the list. read more

I don't understand the earlier reviews. I live a stones throw from Bageleddi's, have been in there dozens of times and have yet to get a decent bagel. Small, hard and lousy. Also, the coffee stinks and the place is a steam bath. Don't fall for the hype, go to the Bagel Shack or Bagels & Beyond. Both are far superior to Bageleddi's. read more

Website specifically states "Open year round". We were excited and drove down this morning to get our favorite bagels only to be disappointed to see a sign posted stating that they didn't open until April 2nd. Great little bagel shop. Terrific service and good coffee. We'll be back during our next visit.

Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches today. They forgot about our order and we waited about 20 min there. When I said something I was given an excuse it's because there were phone orders ahead of us... right, that's why I watched over 10 people behind us order food at the counter and get their orders before us. Not one apology. Used to come here years ago and stopped because the service was bad and every time they were out of what I ordered (chicken cutlet). Thought I'd try this place again today but that was a mistake. Won't be coming back again. read more

Best bagels on LBI and one of the best you will find anywhere. Well worth the usual wait. A bagels only line would help.

An LBI favorite. This place has great pastries and bagels and great HOT fresh brewed coffee. Since the bagels are fresh out of the oven (or boiler?), there's no need to toast these puppies. Bagels to go are roughly $1 apiece. Salt bagels are perfect- not too salty, not under-salted. Cream cheese is plain only. Make sure to bring cash as they falsely advertise they take CCs. (There's a third party ATM inside if you don't read this review upfront!) There's nothing worse with trying to hand over your debit card, only to have your bagelly goodness withheld from you 'cause you didn't bring cash! read more

Yes there is a line that goes out the door on weekends and yes they have the best bagels and crumb cake ever!!! I even brought some back to NYC with me. I love this place. Something about jersey water and their bagels! read more

Not just the best bagels on LBI, but some of the best bagels anywhere. Bageleddi's has some of the best bagels I have ever had. Period. They strike exactly the right balance among, crispy, chewy and flavorful. They are not too rubbery, are not under-cooked and have just the right amount of salt in the dough. They were not too bulky or puffy Over a week on LBI, I went several times to bring bagels back to our party and had the chance to try a variety of flavors, none of which are crazy. The sesame bagels tasted of toasted sesame, as did the crunchy garlic bagels of garlic, etc. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is that the "famous" crumb cake was nothing special, being flavorful but dry. read more

I've always loved their bagels and everything is always very fresh. However I'm really disappointed as they never seem to get my orders correct. The girls will even repeat the order back to you to confirm what you asked for, and then you will unwrap your bagel and it will be the completely wrong order. It happens every time I order, so I know it wasn't just an innocent mistake the first time. They never answer the phone either. Annoying read more

So I've been going to Ship Bottom every summer since I was about 2, having owned a house there for over 20 years. I've gone to a lot of bagel and breakfast places in LBI, and none of them beat Bageleddi's. The bagels here are always soft and fresh, the breakfast sandwiches they make are amazing, and the owners and workers are very friendly. Plus everything is very inexpensive. I'm getting hungry just writing this review! Is it summer yet? read more

The best bagels in LBI. Closest thing to a New York bagel you'll find. The breakfast sandwiches are also phenomenal.

I hadn't paid a visit to Bageleddi's since their previous location - Was amazed by how beautiful and clean the new place is! We ordered 6 breakfast sandwiches and had a little bit of a wait but when we took our first bites, we knew exactly why! Nice outdoor seating area as well! read more

Best bagels I've ever had! Friendly staff, clean environment, and best breakfast and lunch place in the area. Highly recommend to anyone!

They get an extra star because their bagels truly are NY style and are very tasty. Otherwise, our experience was average. We got sandwiches to take to the beach. They were tasty because they're made with Boars Head cold cuts (REAL cold cuts) but they were average sized for the price. They ran out of bologna, which of course, is what my daughter really wanted! We noticed the sandwich makers weighing each ingredient before it went on the sandwich....you know you're not in an NYC deli! Overall, they were good sandwiches and I'd definitely go back for the bagels! read more
