I choose to go here because they gave gluten free bagels. I waited about a half hour. Paid $3.75 for one bagel and it was the size of a mini bagel and had about a drop of cream cheese on it. Very disappointing. Try other bagel places for your gluten free needs. Bacon was barely even cooked and we threw it out as soon as we got home. I called and complained and all she said was "I'll let them know". Never going back here read more

Bageleddi's - Bagels Near Me - Ship Bottom, New Jersey

Best bagels on the island, might be a bit of a wait but that's why you wait ! Sandwiches are awesome- service is on point - very precise- order wait and enjoy whatever you order - place is a local go to !!! Always awesome!!! read more

Ordered a sesame and a salt bagel with veggie cream cheese bc that's literally all they had. What I got was 2 miniature bite sized heinous hard rancid bagels. They were like eating stale bread and prob a day old. The cream cheese? It was liquidy and there was a singular piece of carrot. They tasted like a grocery store bagel from Iowa... and I've never been to Iowa. Worst bagel I've had in my life. Giving up on getting bagels on LBI from now. Would have rather licked shit off the street. read more

Bageleddi's - Bagels Near Me - Ship Bottom, New Jersey

This place is SO GOOD. Fresh bagels, such nice workers! The owners are super sweet. Family owned!!!! Highly recommend

Some of the Best Bagels outside Manhattan (and Montreal) As I have for many years I dropped by Bageleddi's to pick up bagels during our recent trip to LBI. The upside is that the bagels are more or less perfect. The downside is that the morning line can be quite long. They also have other breakfast items (my son's double chocolate chip muffin was very tasty) as well as a variety of cream cheeses, milk, juice, etc. The coffee is quite decent as well. That said, I am dumbfounded at the complaints that the bagels are too chewy and/or too small - they have the texture of a great bagel and are larger than normal size. A bagel should neither look nor taste like a hard roll with the center cut out. read more

I have gone here for breakfast a couple times since I just moved down the street. I love the decor and employees are very nice and sandwiches are good. I do wish they sold peach smoothies. The reason I only gave three stars is because after you order you have to wait for your sandwich in narrowest part of the store with everyone else waiting for their food. Then you have the atm in the same area and the door to outside dining so there isn't anywhere good to stand and wait. You are constantly moving and getting out of everyone's way. I feel like they could have planned it out better when they designed this new location . read more

Never disappoints! Our annual trips to LBI always warrant a stop (or three) to pick up bagels

Everyone is out here crying about how small the bagels are...... Yes they aren't the biggest bagels on the planet but the TASTE and QUALITY is UNMATCHED Bageleddi's is the absolute best bagel I've ever had and that is on god folks. If you go to any other bagel place, I question your judgement read more

This place is a hot hit! It's ran super smooth! You order, pay, wait and get food. They team as the operations down to a great system. Seven been coming here for 20 years! It's consistently the best bagels and egg sandwich's in NJ! The crumb cake is insane and the croissants are freaking amazing! Love this place! It's a gem and the new store is super clean and awesome outdoor space! read more

Been eating at Bageleddi's for ever The Bagels are great The bagel sandwiches are absolutely the best on LBI The owners Tony and Donna are the nicest Great Breakfast without the sit down restaurant costs read more

Let me start by saying this has been my all time favorite bagel place on the island for almost 2 decades. That being said, there have always been ridiculously long lines. The original owners were much better. The current owner has been rude to us several times. He accused me of trying to rip him off for deli turkey when he is the one who put in the wrong price. He has made comments to my husband about bringing in DD coffee instead of buying from there. He just rubs me the wrong way. I will still get my bagels there occasionally, but I won't stand in the lines to do it! read more

Asked for pork roll egg and cheese and got a bacon egg and cheese. Asked for toasted and it wasn't toasted. Not that hard. Lazy workers. Can't get anything right. Expensive. Average bagel. And u still expect a tip.... read more

Owner. Excellent bagels and service. Wide variety to choose from. Friendly workers and owner.

If you like a traditional boiled bagel, that's what they make and there just a regular bagel , nothing special.... But if you're on a budget..DEFINITELY avoid this place! My wife went to get me an everything bagel with butter and cream cheese and it costs her $4.57 cents.... Now that's pretty crazy ! Only one bagel ... read more

I have ordered from here two different times and the subs were sub par. At least they are consistent... consistently bad! We ordered Italian subs both times and specifically asked for lettuce, oregano, oil and vinegar, and tomato. We unfortunately got none of these. The bread was also rock hard. The staff was not very friendly. Tomorrow I am going to Joey's. Great subs there. P.S. Check orders before leaving here. read more

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a egg bagel. Turns out they didn't have egg bagels so I ordered an everything bagel instead. I also asked for hot sauce and they didn't have that either. On a scale from 1-10 I'd rate the sandwich a 5. The bagel was hard and a bit on the tough side. After seeing some of the great reviews and not being impressed with the place I asked some of the locals what the deal was. Apparently the real Eddie passed away a few years ago and ever since then the place has gone down hill. It's not like it was horrible but I just expected more. read more

Bageleddi's - Bagels so fresh they should be slapped - Bagels Near Me - Ship Bottom, New Jersey

Bacon egg and cheese on Plain bagel and almond cheese croissants are awesome. Boars head deli meats and cheeses on their rolls or bagels is also great. Always packed so order ahead if you want to pick up sandwiches. read more

Bageleddi's - Fresh bagels and pastries all day! - Bagels Near Me - Ship Bottom, New Jersey

Bageleddi's is a place you want to be a local, neighborhood establishment, but it just isn't. It seems like they are just here to take your money and they just aren't friendly about it. They will serve you a mediocre bagel and make you feel like they are doing you a favor. I think they changed the recipe since they moved across the street because I now find the bagels smaller (even though the price isn't) and they are very chewy. Next time I'll go a little farther down the boulevard to Ferrara's: better bagels and friendlier service. read more

We came here because my girlfriend is gluten free and they told us over the phone they had cinnamon raisin and everything gluten free so naturally we were exited. I ordered a simple sesame bagel with bacon CRISPY. Food comes out, the gluten bagel was the size of a dog treat and my bacon was 90% fat and the farthest thing from crispy imaginable. Bagel went in the garbage. Do not go here, go to bagels and beyond in surf city. You can not compare. And no we have no bias for bagels and beyond. Just a typical LBI vacationer. read more

With 6 employees working, the place had a total of 1 brain cell and it was mine. Bagel ok even though order was wrong

Great bagels and sandwiches but hardly ever open. Bakes on the premises so the bagels are always fresh with crisp outsides. Lots of varieties. Best bagels on LBI or Manahawkin. Fast service, both inside and outside seating. Unfortunately only open seasonally and closes early most days. Coffee is good but not great. read more

This isn't worth stopping for. The line is super long, and the staff is outright rude. They don't change their gloves either. One of the employees took our order on the iPad and then went to cut bagels with the same gloves on. Also, they aren't real bagels. They are almost mini but for the same price as a regular size one. Don't even get me started with the lady in the back. She is the rudest out of them all; if she is the owner, she needs a new attitude because that attitude will get her nowhere. We were waiting for our bagels, and she said to us, "This is the worst place to be standing!" Instead of asking us politely to move out of the way. I am never going there again. read more

I'm pretty disappointed in this bagel place considering I read my order to them and they read it back twice. I even corrected her when she read them back. I confirmed our orders and 3 of the 8 bagel orders were incorrect. It would have been okay if the bagels themselves were good but they are mini bagels. I'm just saying I'm very upset that what I paid for was not what we expected/wanted. read more

This place has always had sad small bagels. If you think these bagels are good, I'm judging you. These are basically dinner rolls with cream cheese that cut the top of your mouth when eaten. read more

Amazing bagels! They are super fresh and you can even see them being made. There is also a beautiful outdoor seating area. The indoor and outdoor spaces are also super clean. read more

Best bagels in LBI always have been always will be. BUT...just this year the service is so bad. You wait forever at the counter when there are people behind the counter just standing there. Workers always seem confused. I Figure it out please. Still going to go because the bagels are so good but like it's extremely irritating. I miss the old bageleddi's service :( read more

Bageleddi's is off my "go to" list effective immediately. When the biz was sold a few years ago & the new owner promised not to raise prices or change the recipe I was hopeful. I have been a customer of the store for nearly 20 years & my family has a year round house on the island & who didn't love Kenny & the original crew? What a huge disappointment the store is now. The recipe may be the same but the bagels are undercooked & doughy. That being said, the biggest disappointment is the attitude/apathy of the new owners & staff. Surly counter girls, a mediocre product & a brash, rude owner who cares more about his opinion than happy, repeat customers have made this LBIer who would wait in hour long lines for bagels say good bye. read more

2 thumbs down!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Take your business elsewhere! If you want a mini sized bagel that's way overpriced then this is your spot!!! This the most inefficient set up and worst of all the owner was nothing less than rude and condescending. Take your business elsewhere!!! read more

This is my mom's favorite bagel place in the whole world. I (sadly) only get to LBI about 1x a year. Until I was 23 I spent almost all summer on LBI and would drive down the island specifically for their bagels - passing many other places on my way. There is often a line on a Saturday or Sunday morning - but the bagels and pastries are great. Try the ET (everything) bagel - THE BEST!!!!! read more

Got ripped off here a bit - only a dollar, but that leaves a bad taste. Decent bagels, but like everything else on LBI, crazy expensive. $1 each for 12 bagels, $4 for cream cheese, $10 for some smoked salmon in a packet. That should be $26. Big dude at the counter sizes me up, looks at what I have, doesn't enter anything into the register, and says, "$27." I didn't realize it till later, and I called to check on the prices after I left. Confirmed, he charged me an extra $1, probably for the tip jar. Whatever. I can get bagels somewhere else next time. read more

Needs to wear mask. Quote "I do not have to wear a mask because I'm the owner I don't have to." Have some respect for you customers, if you're customers think you should wear a mask maybe you should have one on. You know because COVID-19 is still a thing. It's just gone because you got tired of it. read more

The bagels that are offered on the menu are rarely made. And the bagels that are made are stale and smaller since they moved locations. My daughter got a plain bagel the other today and couldn't even bite into it because it was so hard. read more

Went in today. Everyone has a mask on, as their sign insists, then, what appeared to be a Manager or Owner comes out of the back with no mask on and proceeds to pull out the bagel baskets, breathing on and touching the bagels. Next time will try Bagels and Beyond. read more

I am always hesitant with trying new bagel places because we are so spoiled with our favorite spots. This one did not disappoint. The bagels were perfect. Good prices. Adorable outdoor eating area. Seems to be quite the busy place but the service was still wonderful. Got in and out. No complaints. read more

Owner refuses to wear his mask the proper way and lead by example. Says "he's the owner, he doesn't have to." Also, they don't toast bagels. What kind of bagel place does that? Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

Having spent many a summer vacationing on LBI in Surf City and even lived a year in Manahawkin in my early twenties it wasn't until I was about 13 or 14 (and having a father who grew up at a summer house in Lavalette) that he found Bageleddis. I think it was sometime after our favorite bake shop in Surf City closed and he needed an alternate. In any event, we honestly aren't big bagel folk having been from central CT. For us the epic moment came when we had their crumb cake. I consider myself a bit of a purist when it comes to coffee cake having had it for breakfast most of my life. Entenmann's original and then their "deluxe" version as well as all manner of convenience store varieties and other independent bakeries as well. Nothing and I repeat nothing compares to Bageleddi's crumb cake. It totally fits with what we all as children loved about coffee or crumb cake. The crumbs on top are positively enormous and the ratio of said crumbs to cake is completely disproportionate. Which after having had it for so many years as I have is the way I feel it ought to be and Bageleddi's has set the standard as far as I am concerned. It is so good and so well-loved in my family that one year for Christmas I bought an entire half sheet tray of it and made the drive from Manahawkin up to my parents house and gave it to them for Christmas. And I couldn't have picked a better gift. So thank you to the fine folks at Bageleddi's for doing what you do. And please if you ever close I would love to continue making your coffee cake in honor of the joy it has brought my family for over a decade. Sincerely yours, Christopher Day read more

Grew up going to the old location across the street not sure if there are new owners but was disappointed to say the least. The bagels are significantly smaller now. One staff member was very rude during the ordering process and we were given major attitude. Sadly won't be returning read more

My husband and I are from CA and visited our son and his bride in New Jersey. They took us for breakfast at Bageleddi's. We ordered an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a Everything Bagel. Both my husband and I were in shock on how DELICIOUS this sandwich was. I am not exaggerating on how good and fresh these bagels are. Also, the coffee was perfect! They also have a lovely outdoor area with picnic tables, that is where we ate. Their bathrooms were immaculate. After eating I had to go inside to thank the Bageleddi's people. I told them we had came all the way from CA and we were amazed on how tasty and fresh their food was. As we drove away one of the lovely ladies ran to our car with a bag of bagels and said to us to take these home to CA and enjoy. Thank you, Bageleddi's again for such a wonderful experience and thank you for your generosity. read more

I've been to a few other bagel places on the island and this one was fine like the rest of them. Nothing groundbreaking taking place here, but if you are after a muffin, a doughnut or a bagel you'll find decent ones here. The staff was friendly which is always a good thing. There is more going on here food choice wise, but we were just after the bagels. I'm pretty sure I'll be back to check out what else they have to offer. read more
