Attempted to give this place business a few times - each it was a total disaster. First time an order place on Friday for Pick up at 8 AM on Sunday that was not ready. After arriving at 8:10 on Sunday they just started to make the order. Second walk in and told I'm too busy with prepping order for later pick up than to help some one standing in the store. Then today went at 6:45 AM to get some bagel and told they are closed after their website says they open at 6 AM on Sunday, and the windows says 6:30 and upon arrival someone is walking out with an order. This is addition to the horrible attitude of the staff EVERY SINGLE TIME I walk in there and at best mediocre food quality that is way over priced. SOME ELSE PLEASE OPEN A DECENT BAGEL STORE IN WEST HEMPSTEAD. No wonder everyone leaves town to get food. so sad read more

Have been here several times when visiting family. Mainly get bagels to go. Fresh and good taste. Today ordered 3 onion bagel and whitefish sandwiches to go. $7 each for a sliced bagel and a tablespoon of whitefish. That's right, one tablespoon of whitefish. Would have been smarter to order 3 sliced bagels and a container of whitefish. Instead got a decent bagel and a tiny taste of whitefish. Don't waste your time or money on the sandwiches. First I'm being honest-I'm biased towards favoring this place because my son has food allergies and Bagel Town works with those allergies. I found this place by chance and needed to check it out, so my son and I did just that. I have a multitude of bagel places in Bethpage, but am always wary of how they control their cross contamination issues. Bagel Town for me is worth the added travel time. The bagels are a good size, not too dense, and taste great. We had cinnamon raisin, whole wheat everything, and an egg bagel. The croissants are possibly too dense but warmed up, they taste like they should. The staff was quick, super-friendly, and patient. Bagel Town has a lot to choose from. 5 bagels, 2 croissants, 2 muffins, and 1 large coffee came in at $14. If you live on the south shore of Long Island and you need a safe, peanut/nut-free, sesame free option-you have to come here. It is worth the added travel time. read more

Bagel Town is a Kosher bagel place and bakery. The bagels and pastries are great! Not the nicest place in the world but its good food. I've tried almost everything they have to offer and especially suggest their bagels, cinnamon buns, and chocolate chip cookies. Their chocolate chip cookies have recently become extremely popular! Solid service, personable staff, and their buttered plain bagel ($1.45 I believe) is pretty damn tasty. This is a heavily Jewish part of Hempstead, and given that you won't get bacon sandwiches as you would in other bagel shops. The place is kept clean and they also have other pastries available for less than $2. One more thing to note - They are a "nut free zone", meaning no sesame bagels and no products containing nuts of any sort. Placed our 1st order for delivery and was disappointed from the beginning of the call. Not sure if the guy I was speaking with was new, but he acted as if he's never taken an order before. They claim $25 minimum for delivery but looking at other reviews, it seems it changes all the time. Not to mention they charge $5.00 for making a delivery. Totally absurd, especially for a local "bagel/deli" place. They don't have rolls, but didn't tell me that until 15 minutes after placing the order. When we got the order, they forgot our coffee and I ordered a grilled cheese on whole wheat. When I placed the order, the guy never said they don't have grilled cheese so what I got was a whole wheat bagel with 2 slices of kraft cheese "melted" on the bagel because they don't have a flat top... This "grilled cheese" looked like it went through an extensive cavity search with TSA, went on a plane and was thrown out the window. When I called to find out why I ordered something so simple and it came out like caca, the guy told me they don't have a flat top so they stick the bagel that I didn't order into an oven and place the cheese on top to melt. The prices keep going up for mediocre meals . While making food they only wear 1 glove i had to tell the guys behind the counter your making food 2 gloves. I order corn muffin and i kid you not it was the corn muffin from the previous day. I ask is it fresh the manager said yes... The bagels here are delicious but the delivery service is a scam. I work at a large car dealership in Hempstead and could have provided Bagel Town with steady business but every time we would call and make an order they would give us a different delivery charge. First they told me it was a $10 minimum for delivery to Hempstead- this place is located in West Hempstead and I work in Hempstead, we googled how far it was from the store- 6 minutes driving distance. Anyways, $10 minimum is easy when 15 people are ordering. We ordered over $40 worth of bagels, coffee, orange juice, you name it we ordered it. It took an hour to deliver(standard delivery time) every person was satisfied with their food. So, obviously we place another order over $40 again, we were told no delivery charge...yay! We order again...$15 delivery charge...again $20 delivery. Well we never ordered from them again and I'm assuming they don't need the business because when I asked then why they change it all the time they didn't care to elaborate. This is about their service today. It was very busy and they need to learn how to manage the crowd. I had a large order and the gentleman helping me was taking care of other people's orders while he was in middle of mine, not paying much attention to mine. My salad, the lettuce was barely cut up, it's as if he threw everything into the container not caring about it. Asked me if it was to go or to stay after he had packed everything up and then gave me a look when I said one thing was to stay. He apologized for the wait in the end but not for his service.
