Came here because Bagel Bakery cancelled our Grubhub order an hour after we placed it (fun!). You should definitely order ahead of time to avoid lines on busy mornings. We had to wait about 15 minutes in line and about 15 minutes to get our food. Alas, we did not get bagels. We each got a breakfast burrito--his with sausage, mine veggie. They were not marked so I had a few bites of meat accidentally. I'm a pretty easygoing vegetarian, but this did annoy me! Aloha Sunshine is the perfect way to start the day! The fried pineapple sausage link with a fried egg in a yummy onion bagel. AMAZING! Don't question it if you don't think I'll be good. Just get in, order the foods you like and be magically satisfied! Great customer service, we ordered online using door dash - I came in since the app said it was ready but when I went to go pick up, it wasn't. My instinct told me this wasn't going to be an issue, I wait the most 5 minutes and then got the burrito that was HEFTY! Worth the money. Delicious and savory. We love this spot and stop every time we are in the area. We've had breakfast bagel sandwiches, plain bagels with cream cheese, you name it. It can be busy on weekends, but the staff is always friendly and patient. It's clean and there are some spots to sit inside to eat if you choose. We stopped in here to bring some bagels to share with the team. We ordered a couple dozen assorted bagels and just about every option of cream cheese. The lady who helped us was very nice and suggested cutting the bagels in half if we were going somewhere with no utensils available. Good call...! Inside is simple but clean; the outside has a drive thru and ample parking. The only wish I had was for takeout coffee for a large group. But luckily there was a Panera Bread on the other side of the parking lot that hooked it up! The sesame bagel I ate was a little dry but overall a good flavor. Bagel Kitchen was one of our really great finds from Pebble Beach! With a motto like, "good bagels only", they really do have a handle on making some excellent food! My boyfriend was a little extra hungry so he ordered a breakfast burrito. He SCARFED it, haha. I ordered a pizza bagel with cream cheese. I'm finding more and more than I need to ask for half the cream cheese when I go places. I found the amount of cream cheese overwhelming and I lost some of the bagel taste I so truly wanted to experience. We also ordered a couple of cups of coffee. Those were just okay. I would not go exclusively to Bagel Kitchen for the coffees. I did feel like they were quite busy and perhaps understaffed. It felt like it took a while to get our food. I'm so glad I found this spot. I will like to report, this place is better than any bagel spot I have tried in LA. I'm so glad I broke the diet for these bagels. We ordered the jalapeño bomb, the pebble beach, and a plain bagel with cream cheese. Disclaimer they were not all for me lol. I like to rate my places from 1 to 10. 1 through 3 - will never comeback 4 through 5.8 - will come back if someone I'm with wants to try the spot 5.9 though 7.0 -will come back 7.1 through 9.9 will make an effort to come back and I would recommend the spot 10.0 is the best place! (Haven't had a 10 because there is always a better place out there. My rating for this place is 8.7 (Will you come back? Definitely!) Stopped by this bagel shop before heading to the Monterey aquarium and I'm so glad I did! The bagel I ordered tasted so fresh and it kept me filled for the majority of the morning. I am a big fan of matcha so when I seen they had a strawberry matcha with natural strawberry jam, I had to order. So happy I did it tasted earthy and sweet just how I like my matchas. Came here to get a small bite before hitting the road back to Orange County. My husband and I ordered the Big Sur bagel sandwich that had avacado,roasted tomatoes, fried egg, cheese, and sprouts. I was so excited to try this place. But the customer service is lacking, the wait time is very long, and I was not impressed with the ice level in my drink. With the pandemic happening, it's very important to stay patient as I understand the struggles businesses are going through. I did take that into account when writing my review. Ordering: The line moved at a snail's pace. When we finally got to the front, the person who took our order was very impatient and was rushing us. We already knew what we wanted but were just taking a short moment to look at what bagel options were available in front of us, as you can't see it from where we were standing in line. The customer service was not there, pretty much nonexistent. Food/Drink: The bagel was tasty and nice to try. I normally do not eat bagels, and I really liked it! I ordered a Thai Iced Tea, but what they gave me was a cup of ice with some Thai tea in it lol. Please look at my pictures and you'll totally understand. It was not worth the ~$5. I almost didn't say anything but my friend encouraged me to bring it to their attention. When I told the person who I ordered with that the ice level was not okay for what I paid for, he acted like he was doing me a favor and seemed put upon. There was no apologies or acknowledgement of any wrongdoing. I think his response was something like "Fine, I'll do it this once" and he gave me a refill. So I guess that is how they typically proportion their Thai Teas + ice! I did appreciate that he refilled my drink (he left the ice as is and put in some more tea and milk, so it was pretty much a "small" refill). The bagels here were fine. The lox bagel had a good amount of filling it, but I do wish the capers were more evenly dispersed. The everything seasoning on the all-in bagel was a bit flavorless to me. The mushroom avocado egg bagel sandwich had no seasoning on it at all, and it could have benefitted from a little sauce or something to bring the bagel together. My friends were behind me and it took 10 minutes just for them to order after us. Then it took another 10 minutes for our food to come out. Was served a raw burger here. The coffee used to be great, it tastes burnt now. Tables are always dirty. I used to come here all the time but several bad experiences and how they were handled by staff has sealed the deal that I won't be back. The service and quality of food has declined significantly. I haven't written a review the minute I finished a meal in such a long time. This one is worth typing for as I'm still chewing my last bite. Heading to Asilomar beach to explore the low tide creatures and we wanted to picnic, bagels sounded perfect. Friends of Yelp guided us to this joint and it's warm service and atmosphere was the way to start our beach day. We had the classic breakfast bagel with bacon, the lox and lastly but the best chorizo breakfast bagel. Just get the chorizo bagel, the cream cheese, fried egg, pickled jalapenos and avocado just all came together so wonderfully. The flavors all compliment each other, I'm going to have to make this at home on the regular. The bagels are chewy and had a crust! All in all a solid place to take some grab n go meals for a picnic. Whenever we are in the Monterey area, we make it a point to stop by this place. I ordered the protein bagel (everything bagel) and added an egg. My wife ordered the same thing on a plain bagel, lightly toasted. Their service was fast, and the young lady that helped us was very friendly. In the previous months, they did not have in-door seating, but when we went this time (February 2022), they had in-door seating and were not checking for vaccine cards. We came here two mornings in a row for breakfast while in town and overall, not the worst spot to go but I'm sure there are better. For us, it was the most convenient option to where we were staying. Though it's called bagel kitchen, the breakfast burritos are really the better option. The first morning I got a bagel sandwich and the bagel was pretty dry. We also got a few bagels to take home and they were all pretty hard and had to be revived with water in the oven, even on the same day. Morning 2 though the breakfast burritos were pretty good. What I love about bagel kitchen is that they put the most perfectly proportioned amount of filling in each of their freshly baked bagels. When I took my bagel to the beach I expected it to be messy but it was a very clean brunch and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Situated in a plaza next to Ace Hardware, Bagel Kitchen is a trendy shop for delicious bagels. Once I came in here, I knew I had to come out with more than one meal and ended up with the Aloha Sunshine and my own Bagel Dog. The Aloha Sunshine definitely lives up to its name, being a breakfast bagel with a pineapple sausage in the middle. On the other hand, the Bagel Dog was so juicy and good I didn't have to dip it in ketchup. The parking abundant with a lot of open spaces and the shop has plenty of seating if you want to come here, have a nice meal, and socialize with your friends.
