Walked in and was overwhelmed by the amount of people in here but the service was so fast and friendly regardless! It's 10am and they seem to be running low on bagels which is a good sign. There quite a few guys working behind the counter so it makes sense why the turn over is fast. We ordered the pebble beach and the chorizo bagels which were amazing. Everything ingredient tasted high quality. We also ordered a banana muffin which was moist and perfectly sweet. Definitely want to come back and try other things.

    Chorizo on everything bagel.

Cool vibes in here, very friendly and helpful staff. They have a pretty simple menu which makes it easy to figure out what you want. Bagels are constantly fresh baked coming hot out of the oven. The chorizo bagel was delicious - chorizo and eggs are fried to order and they top it with fresh slices of avocado high they don't skimp on.

Yummy x1000! These bagels are perfect for brunch and filled with a good amount of ingredients. I don't feel as though they skimped out on anything! You can taste the freshness in every bite! There was a line (it was breakfast time, so of course its going to be busy), but the way staff worked together made the line go quickly. The person taking our order at the counter also made our sandwich, coffee and payment! They all rotated in & out, all hands on deck, loved to see it! Would give 5 stars, but bagels were a little flat, and was a bit pricey (roughly $9 for classic w/o avocado, & roughly $13 for the ECM), BUT, like I mentioned, ingredients tasted fresh. As a Southern California local, when visiting the area again my boyfriend and I will definitely be back!

Great bagels, lox was incredible, my partner got the classic sausage egg and cheese. Not a long wait either! So happy to have found this spot!

So so delicious! Absolutely loved the bagel with lox & cream cheese, & cheeseburger with onion rings was well-cooked & flavorful (if you're looking for options outside of just bagels!). Staff was so welcoming & friendly, & bagel selection was plentiful (I went with a standard sesame seed). I would definitely recommend this location if you're in the area!

This is located in the Fairway Shopping center, next to the ACE Hardware. We went there for a Friday lunch in April, 2025. Parking was easy. We ordered three sandwiches. They were ready pretty soon. Each was pretty large and quite tasty. The prices were very reasonable given the area. Service was very good. Overall, we were quite happy with our experience and would go there again.

we happened upon this bagel shop while walking down to the beach (yes, it's a pretty long walk). I was starving and bagels sounded good. wow-wee was this place fantastic. I just got a cheddar-bacon bagel (toasted) with plain cream cheese and it knocked my socks off! honestly disappointed I didn't get a bagel sammy!

Solid breakfast burrito 7/10. Had everything you could want for breakfast inside, the tortilla was just ok. I got it with bacon and it was so fresh. I didn't feel heavy after eating it either. Washed it down with the Vietnamese iced coffee, scrumptious 8.5/10. $19 total. Service was great and they made my food pretty quickly. I decided to stop by this place on a whim and didn't regret it.

Tried this place on a whim and was delighted! Tasty sandwiches for about $9-10. It felt hefty and was made right to order. I love the filling of avocado, mushrooms, veggies and eggs. Definitely add some hot sauce from their side counter for more flavor. Very spacious inside and the staff members were also kind. Ordered a dirty chai along with my meal and it was the perfect balance, not too sweet but strong. Only awkward moment was after you order Staff will start making your order right away instead of having you pay first. People started piling up and had to be on the lookout for when it was their turn to pay, instead of being able to sit down and wait for their order. When I'm in the area again I'll gladly order from this spot again!

    Lumberjack

This bagel sammie was so damn delicious that I ordered the wrong one and didn't even care. Bagel Kitchen is a humble bagel shop in Monterey. For a bagel shop, it's extremely spacious. One odd thing was the menu being all the way to the right of the entrance, far away from the register. All the sandwiches, cream cheeses, and bagel flavors are all spelled out and listed accordingly. I ended up with the Lumberjack. I thought I was ordering another. Clearly I lost track from the long walk from the menu board to the cashier, haha. Let's be real, it was probably due to not having coffee yet! Anywho, my wife and I loved our sandwiches. Lumberjack // pork sausage patty, red bell pepper onion blend, potatoes, cheddar cheese, on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. Life hack: make a bagel sandwich better by inserting fried potatoes. I drenched the sammie in Cholula. It was spicy, meaty, fresh, and the bagel had the ideal texture for a sandwich. I could've eaten another one on the spot! We didn't find too many places to find a bagel in Carmel/Monterey, but that's not the sole reason why Bagel Kitchen rocks. These bagels are great and the sandwich combinations are even better. 5 stars from me all the way!

Whole wheat bagel with plain cream cheese... haven't had a bagel in years!

Never thought that bagels could be that good. The Jalapeno bomb is a must-try. One of the few places open on Thanksgiving.

Hi, just checking to see if you still offered gluten-free bagels?

Do you have gluten free bagels?

Yes we do! We usually keep them stocked in the back so that they don’t accidentally get mixed up in a basket full of regular bagels :)

Do they boil their bagels before baking?

Hey Darren! Yes we definitely boil our bagels before baking!

We were sat right away and offered drinks, orders taken, and food came out quickly. I had the smoked salmon benedict, which is one of my go to's for breakfast. My friends both had the classic country breakfast. My only, and very minor compaint, is that my food came out a little cold. I was surprised because it did come out seemingly fast. Cold food is one of my pet peeves, but I didn't feel like sending it back. Even as a semi cold meal my food was very good! Even the oven roasted potatoes it came with were bomb. We were tended to consistently between the bussers and servers who all worked together. The service was very fast and friendly. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place for breakfast.

The Portobello Mushroom sandwich is delicious! It is hard to beat a grilled portobello mushroom on soft ciabatta bread, topped with tangy goat cheese, fresh basil, sweet caramelized onions & reduced balsamic glaze! My husband always orders the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich which comes with a very generous serving of pork slices. The flavors of the pork, the caramelized sweet onions, roasted red peppers & sage aioli just meld so well together. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes!

It didn't look like it died down which is awesome for this business. I believe I waited 20-30 minutes in line before I reached the display case. There were so many delicious things to choose from, it was a challenge to decide! I opted for a croissant sandwich, a blue corn cookie, and some sweet treats for the beach. I also ordered a seasonal latte, I believe it was cherry chocolate with oat milk less sweet. There's a nice outdoor seating area with many tables in chairs. Since the weather was nice we decided to stop and eat for a bit. The ambience was very nice and calm. The food was delicious and their house made pickles were fantastic. They were crisp, fresh, and complimented the turkey sandwich so well. The blue corn cookie was very interesting and reminiscent of a tortilla chip. I'd definitely come back here if I were in the area.

Latte was decent, not too bitter or acidic and it was creamy They try a lot of variations for pastries, both savory and sweet! The savory danish was really tasty and there was some pickled / citrus component that added more depth and made it super interesting to eat! The salmon croissant was alright, had a really nice flaky crust but the filling tasted kinda gamey , would've been nice to have another component to balance it out. Cookies were niceeeee the buckwheat choco cookie had nice amounts of sea salt and was like a brownie texture on the inside. Choco chip cookie was thin and crispy on the outside with chocolate blobs spread around, quite sweet though There was a line going out the door but only had to wait around 15 min!
