Fantastic company and I would highly recommend Badger Brothers as well as Matt & Gabe!! I had researched a lot of companies and even hired another company that couldn't even get the 'move from and move to' address correct! I was very skeptical after my last move with a Madison company that advertises they move you, After firing the other company I found Badger Brothers. I read ALL of the reviews and had several communications with Eric & Adrian and they got back to me within 24 hours (even on the weekend and holidays!!) and were able to work with me on the date, time and special needs (i.e. no elevator at the old apartment). I decided to trust them and they did not disappoint!! Moving day was extremely stressful for me so receiving the call the day before and when Matt & Gabe were leaving the office the day of the move decreased my anxiety. They arrived on time and ready to work. The truck was very clean inside (no left over dust, dirt, leaves, etc. from previous moves) and out (painted, not dusty or dirty). Dollies were painted (not rusted) and clean (not dusty from a previous move). AND, this was very important to me, they even had clean blankets to put on your precious furniture and items. That was such a pleasant surprise. In the past, I got more dirt and dust from the movers blankets than if I'd had the furniture for 20 years!! Plus, Matt and Gabe had on uniforms (they're not just for the photo on their website!) and they were clean and 'pressed' as well. What a classy company!! I felt that if appearances and care of their trucks, blankets and moving equipment was in this shape then my move should be this well done too and, sure enough, it did! Moving from the old apartment required going up and down 24 marble stairs that were very uneven due to 50+years of wear and tear in the old refurbished building. Matt & Gabe didn't hesitate and hustled while being very professional, careful, polite, helpful, kind and understanding with me when I asked if they could take a few more things I'd planned on taking in my car but couldn't fit them. They just picked them up and put them in without any hesitation. What a relief this was for me. I was on the verge of tears due to the stress and lack of sleep and they took it all in stride!! Matt & Gabe followed me to my new apartment and went to work right away. Even though I was unable to get an elevator key from the landlord they worked in shifts. I had asked them at the old apartment to take my bedroom set last so it would be the first thing to be unloaded at the new apartment. Matt put my queen size, very heavy adjustable bedframe together like he had made it himself. He plugged it in to make sure it worked the way I wanted/needed and then proceeded to help Gabe with my other furniture and 60+boxes. As they brought boxes into the apartment I had them marked for each room and they actually put them in those rooms!! What a concept!! The other 'move me' company could learn a lot from Matt & Gabe!! They completed the move in 4.25 hours (which included their travel time about 45 minutes to and from their company headquarters off of the beltline in Madison). They even told me it would be less expensive to pay by check vs a convenience fee of 3.75% for use of a credit/debit card. Since I had packed my checkbook I opted to pay by debit card which added $20.79 to the bill. I also added the tip to the charge which made it even easier since I had forgotten to go to the ATM/Bank to get cash. Plus, it allowed me to have everything for the move all on one receipt. If you're still reading this very long review I should tell you that Matt & Gabe did all of the above in 97 degree weather where the heat index at the end of the move was 107 degrees!! They never uttered a word of complaint. In fact, unless I spoke they didn't speak...just worked their tails off literally and figuratively that day. If I even have to move again I will go straight to Badger Brothers moving. I have recommended and referred them to family, friends and anyone who will listen. There's a reason this company has a solid 5/5 rating. Me and my partner just moved a few days ago, and had not used a mover before, so we had a lot of questions, concerns, etc etc. I had been getting estimates from basically everyone in town and it was a somewhat annoying process. Either crazy expensive where any deviance from what you list in the estimate will make it even more expensive. Lower priced estimates, when you started reading the contract suddenly became not so low. Then there are the places who began calling, emailing and texting daily and putting the hard sell on. Or places that took their sweet time, and were vague about things that could increase cost. Badger had somehow been low on my list of places to contact, and our new landlord said check them out. I wish I had not wasted time with as many because they're awesome. I spoke to Nickolas via email with the estimate and booking and he was fantastic. I was bouncing questions at him every other day and he answered all of them promptly and clearly. He made it very clear that the prices they tell you are the prices you will get. Only caveat being if they show up and you have much more than you said, so obviously it will take longer. Price wise they are worth every penny. Some places are, well, I don't really know why they charge so much. The highest quote we got, before hidden costs, was a little over double what we paid Badger, and there were no magical extras provided to justify that cost. There were some that were extremely low, but that sort of gives off a bit of desperation. Badger is about right in the middle, and that says a lot. Middle is a company that isn't going to undersell itself. They are confident that they are worth what they ask. It also shows they care about the customers and not just trying to drain their bank accounts. The move itself was so much smoother than I expected, and much much quicker. My partner was at the old place, let me know when they had arrived. I was being slow getting things ready on my end and get a text from her half an hour later saying they were just about done so I had to pick up the pace! Lucas and Declan arrived, pulled up and almost instantly a weird situation came up. An elderly woman was practically running to us from the next building over. She thought they were there for her. By coincidence she had also hired them to move out at about the same timeframe. They tried to explain to her that this was not her truck, it had my things in it. She became unpleasant, then emotional, then unpleasant (at one point insisted that they were 100% wrong, and didn't care about my stuff and they had to come to her home) Her truck appeared not long after this and she was still unhappy. During the entire thing Lucas and Declan handled it in an extremely professional way and looked into it, despite her not giving them much time to breathe, let alone contact HQ. I would not have been that patient, that's for sure. Lucas let me know they would be subtracting the 15 minutes this took up from my move time, apologized for the whole thing. The move itself was super fast. They got my things in the house in record time. No bumping walls, carefully place everything, and suddenly it was done. Both were great too. They had a kind of straight man/comedian thing going on. Declan was quieter and Lucas was the talker, funny guy and pretty animated. I'm really awkward with people and sometimes have anxiety issues when dealing with people I don't know but have no choice but to have to deal with them. Felt none of that with these guys. Hell, it felt like we should have gone out for a beer afterward, which is the highest Wisconsin endorsement you can give! The short version, 10/10 would recommend, and next move I won't be wasting my time with looking for anyone else. read more

My wife and I hired Badger Brothers to move our two bedroom apartment across town. Booking was easy and convenient with Sarah, who was very pleasant and helpful throughout. We booked our move a month out and they had availability on our date, but I would suggest booking sooner if you don't have flexibility on a morning vs afternoon time slot. We opted to have Badger Brothers pack just the kitchen, and Jayce and Ramiro did a great job. They arrived on time, were very polite and efficient, and everything survived the actual move. Packing was billed at the same hourly rate as the move, and our well-stocked apartment kitchen took about 2.5 hours. On the day of the move, the team's first job took longer than anticipated, but when they realized they would be running late they called to give me an update and were right on time with the updated ETA. Myles and Varick were fantastic, they hustled and we got everything out, moved across town, and into the new apartment in just about 3 hours. (My wife and I did happily help carry things up and down the stairs, so estimate about 1-2 hours longer if you let their team do all the work. The company's original estimate of 4-6 hours was pretty accurate.) They were friendly and had great attitudes throughout, and were able to move a dresser that we weren't quite sure was going to fit down the stairs. We were really impressed by how hard they worked. Moving is stressful and Badger Brothers made it easy, we'd definitely recommend them to anyone moving in the Madison area. read more

5 stars is a bit puny for my very moving experience with Badger Brothers Moving (sorry, could not resist). I had items that had to be delivered to my barn and others, to my house, same address. Dane and Jared are the GOLD Standard in moving. Professional, courteous, very personable and efficient. I just said " You guys are the experts, do what you need to do." Talk about stress-free moving! Before I knew it, they had the truck loaded & ready to deliver to my house/ barn. EVERYTHING (furniture; some unusual large objects; and paintings) arrived and were delivered in perfect condition. So, needless to say I was pretty happy. THEN, Dane gave me the total...started to explain in detail the charges. I was stunned. I told him no need to go through the details, the total was considerably le$$ than I had thought it would be. Seriously. If you need a moving company, you wil not go wrong with Badger Brothers Moving. Btw, I do not have stock in this company; Dane and Jared are not my sons, or nephews, or third cousins twice removed (though I'd be happy to have them in my family ). I was stressed out-of-my-mind about this move....boy, did I pick the right place. I reserved a time with Badger Brothers to unload my ReloCube into my new apartment for my move to Madison. Unfortunately, weather and equipment issues on the UPack side of things meant that I had to reschedule my unloading appointment at least three times (maybe more--I've lost track at this point, to be honest). Sarah was incredible throughout the whole thing, and kept rescheduling me with no problem. Although my ReloCube did end up getting delivered to my apartment in the end, it was still not a sure thing until the morning of. Even though I ended up not needing it, I really appreciated that Sarah had been able to schedule extra time on short notice in case I needed the crew to go to where my ReloCube was being stored, unpack it into their truck, and transport the contents to my place. They estimated that unloading the cube would take two hours. In the end, it only took one hour (and it was completely packed full), which was great. The guys were really efficient but also careful with everything they unloaded. They were personable and offered their help reassembling furniture if I needed it. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I have another (in-Madison) move coming up in a few months. Although I'm not looking forward to another move in so short of a time, they're going to be the first people I call to help because I had such a good experience with them. read more

After hours of research and conversations with several other movers, I chose Badger Brothers. It's a leap of faith hiring a mover. You just never know what/who you will get so I'll admit I was a bit nervous hiring a smaller company for my move from the Madison area to Michigan. I spoke with Eric. He was very accomodating and professional, even with my having to change my move date. He called prior to the actual moving day to confirm, which certainly put my mind at ease! Eric and Adrian arrived at the home and I can tell you they are strapping, enormous guys able to leap buildings in a single bound. They introduced themselves, shook hands,(Yeah.. really. They did. Firm handshake/look-you-in-the-eye/our-parents- taught-us-well goodness) took a look around and planned their attack. Within a couple of hours the truck was loaded and off we went. They drove the nearly 5 hour trip to my home in Michigan and immediately got to work unloading. Whew. What a relief to have that taken care of by such great guys. They turned around and drove back to Madison that same evening. Long day for them and they barely broke a sweat. I would highly recommend Badger Brothers Moving! Sorry to see a couple of discontented reviews. I understand Adrian had and injury. Please don't let that deter you. Things happen to the best of us. These guys are the real deal. read more

My experience overall was absolutely fantastic! I have broken up bits of my review here since there were multiple aspects of this company that I got to work with and I felt that they deserved an individual shoutout here! Relocation Coordinator: Josh was super nice and willing to answer any questions regarding moving. Even though it was my first time using a moving company, Josh made me feel like an old pro once I was done and made sure I understood everything that was going to take place Moving Specialists the day of the move: Both Dorian and Zelmer were super professional and really worked hard to complete the move in a timely matter. I was absolutely amazed what they were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time and how they were always on the move. And each piece of furniture and all my boxes were handled with such care. It was also amazing to watch the communication between the two as well as their communication with myself during the entire process. They were incredible. Overall, I was very happy with my choice in this moving company. The cost was spot on with the estimate they provided. I will be using them again in the future and I will be recommending them often. I used Badger Brothers Moving for my move in 2014, and my husband and I used them for a move this past Friday. We continue to be extremely impressed with the work ethic of Badger Brothers and their employees! We received a confirmation call the day before the move to confirm all of the details (i.e., start time, starting address, ending address, quote, etc.). The two movers, Andrew and Zane, arrived on time with positive attitudes. They were careful with our belongings, but moved quickly. They would walk quickly or lightly jog back to the apartment after putting items in the truck so that they wouldn't waste any time (Badger Brothers bills a flat rate per hour (that is prorated to the minute the move is done) that includes everything -- the truck, gas, mileage, labor, furniture pads, etc.). Andrew and Zane were professional, friendly, and considerate of our time. All of our belongings arrived in the condition in which they were packed. Nothing was broken or damaged in the slightest. In the hassle of moving, it was nice to know that part of the process was going to go smoothly -- and that was our time with Badger Brothers. I highly recommend this business. read more

Enough cannot be said about the professionalism of Eric and Adrian. They helped me complete a somewhat complicated move from Wisconsin to California last summer with absolutely no issues or headaches. After agreeing to an incredibly fair price, they showed up on the morning of our scheduled move and packed the truck with lightening speed. They took great care with our stuff and brought all the necessary wrapping supplies to protect our furniture. They then made quick work of my girlfriend's apartment and were on the road. We were a bit hesitant because they were going to beat us to the new place, but we had a friend meet them and let them in and sure enough, when we arrived, everything was in our apartment and not a single thing was damaged or missing. Eric and Adrian helped us tremendously and we *HIGHLY* recommend them! They are trustworthy, friendly, and punctual - what more could you ask for?! It's unfortunate that there were a couple of bad experiences listed here, but I have to believe that these were extenuating circumstances or just a bad day for the guys. They are great! I hired this service for August 14, arguably one of the most hectic days in Madison to move out. I intended to write this review immediately, but came back a month later to write this because they made that much of an impression on me. This moving service was as good as it gets. First, I was in contact with someone to schedule my move, the service was very friendly and quick to respond. The two men that came helped me move were EXTREMELY careful, courteous, and good natured. They were friendly and never made any request feel like a bother. They showed up a half hour early because they had finished a job before anticipated, which was wonderful, and they took approximately the amount of time they quoted me for initially (price was very reasonable for movers). I watched them wrap every single piece of furniture with such care. I had a storage POD on the street they packed beautifully and neatly and I felt confident it would not be moving around. I literally cannot imagine my move going any smoother, I cannot recommend this company any more, extremely professional service. read more

Best experience I've had using a moving company. Competitive pricing and could not beat the customer service. Eric was super responsive when arranging the details of the move. The two gentlemen who did our move were extremely friendly and polite. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to complete the move. Not only were they fast, they were extremely careful. I was moving from a rental house with tight hallways and corners into a new construction home. They did not leave a single scratch or scuff mark on my new paint, which is hard to do when moving that much furniture up and down stairs. They also brought a variety of tools and took furniture apart (cribs and bedframes) and re-assembled them for us. They made absolutely certain before they left that everything was exactly where we wanted. I'm so glad I choose Badger Brothers as I was on a tight timeframe to get my move done, house unpacked, and rental cleaned around my toddler's daycare schedule. Outstanding service!!! When Ted, Joseph, and Damon showed up for our move all were polite, respectful and extremely professional. Everyone worked extremely hard and had our belongings on the truck within 2 hours!!! Communication was fantastic the entire time the move was taking place. Very careful with our belongings. Loved that they disassembled and reassembled our King size bed!! Before leaving the house Ted did a walkthrough with me to make sure everything that needed to be on the truck for the move was out of the house and on the truck. When arriving to our new home furniture was placed exactly where I had asked it to go. Before leaving, I was asked if I wanted to make any changes in furniture placement as Ted, Damon, and Joseph would be happy to move it. Great crew!! I would highly recommend Badger Brothers!! Sarah was amazing in communicating the move process. She did a fantastic job keeping me updated via emails and phone calls. I can't say enough about Badger Brothers moving company. Moving can be a stressful time, so it is really important to find movers who are thoughtful, efficient, courteous, punctual, and positive. The Badger Brothers team--Jack and Myles--who moved us earlier this month were all of these things. It helped that most of our house was packed up in tidy, well-labeled boxes indicating their room destination (movers appreciate that!), but we also had a lot of furniture and some antiques that were trickier to move. Even so, they carefully wrapped fragile furniture pieces and carried them with experienced deftness. They made sure not to bang on walls or nick door frames. I appreciated that they asked clarifying questions about where some things should be placed, and I was especially grateful that they took the time to put beds together (without even being asked), a chore that no one looks forward to. The movers were up-beat the entire time--nearly eight hours--and did not dawdle or waste time. Our third move with Badger Brothers Moving and while all three experiences have been fantastic, we hit the "moving team lottery" with our move on December 5, 2021! We had a team of three: Alex, Gabe and Colby and to say these three men were outstanding, is an understatement! The team rolled in early, did a walk through of our house with us, asked questions as they pertained, and then they literally RAN and got to work! The guys moved very quickly while taking the absolute best car of our items - not a single thing was cracked, damaged or broken during our move, during transit or while unloading. We went from a 2800 sq ft house down to 1700, so there was a lot of shifting/moving of items and the guys went above and beyond by even helping organize our garage in our new house; truly a stellar group of young men! Best movers in Madison, hands down. I was impressed right off the bat when I called for an estimate. Other companies had simply asked for my square footage and then given an estimate. Badger Brothers spent time asking me to describe what was going to be moved. Not surprisingly, their estimate was spot on. The movers showed up on time and were courteous, professional, and efficient. No complaints at all with the actual move. Now on to what makes Badger Brothers the best: how they handle issues. I have a platform bed, and about 12 days later figured out that it had been put together incorrectly. I called them up with no real hope of getting help. Instead, they were apologetic, accepted responsibility, and sent someone over the next day to fix the problem. No arguing needed, no attempt to sidestep responsibility, no telling me it was too long after the move. I hope to never move again, but if I do Badger Brothers Moving is getting my business! read more

It was a hot, humid day. A big truck with the sign Badger Brothers Moving, LLC pulls up to my 2 bedroom apartment. My boxes are packed, and the furniture is anxiously waiting for a new adventure. I stepped out onto the lawn and was greeted by the nicest man whose hand was extended and a smile on his face. After our introductions the work began and continued for the next several hours. Sweating, straining and working at a continual pace, the two Badger workers dodged wasps, climbed and descended stairs all the while cheerfully asking where I would like things to go or if there was anything else they could do for me. I asked if they could move this here, and then over just a titch, "no problem" and "sure" was always the answer. I can honestly say my experience with Badger Brothers Moving LLC was top notch, excellent and I will highly recommend them to anyone in the future.
