Professional but not trustworthy…read more Disclaimer: Tired after cleaning 100s of tiny carpet fibres all over the house and feeling like sh** for exposing my baby to VOCs, I am writing this review. We have a new-born and our cat was peeing in the carpet. We called Walgenmeyers to replace the carpet. They showed up time for the estimate and even brought samples as I couldn't go to the store with the baby, mailed us a quote in a timely manner and scheduled us pretty quickly. The installers came on time and did the job as expected. I appreciate how professional they were. During home visit, I asked Jeff about chemicals in the carpet and he assured me that the carpet was certified for air control and safe. During installation (when they put the adhesive) and after the carpet was installed, the whole house had this really BAD chemical smell. I called him to get more information about the carpet rating and adhesive used but he couldn't give me good answers neither did he call back with answers as he promised. I, then, read about VOCs and benzene and formaldehyde and what not that is released with new carpets. As a new mom, my head was spinning, so I got a hotel room for three days (72 hours as recommend by internet wisdom) and left all the windows open for ventilation. Now I am back home and the house still smells of chemicals. In addition, the carpet fibres are coming off the carpet if we step on the carpet, so I am guess we got really bad quality carpet. If I wanted cheap carpet and untrustworthy people, I would have gone with a big box store and not a local company and probably paid half the price we paid Walgenmeyers. I really wish Jeff had been honest about the smell. We could have discussed it - I might have done one room (with cat pee) instead of all rooms or I would have requested the carpet to be aired out for 72 hours before installation, or I would have installed it before our vacation two weeks from now. So many safer options that what we did. I really wish this company puts people over profits. Maybe too much to ask!

I called other business to see what they thought and they told me this should not be happening to this new of carpet and it was not installed correctly. In addition, they said they would charge less to fix the problem. I called Walgenmeyers back and told them about this however, they will not give me a discount on fixing this problem. They said is was $350 even if I purchased the carpet from them only a few years ago. If you purchase carpet from them keep in mind the cost if you have a problem after the warranty expires.

I asked if I had the installation area empty could I save that charge. Was told yes. Had the entire installation area empty prior to the install and was still charged the furniture removal fee. Called to inquire and was told a check would be cut to me as reimbursement for the fed. Two weeks later and no reimbursement has been received. Sent company an email and received no response. I would not recommend using these guys. The amount may be minor but it's not right to pay for a service that was not utilized and to not get any response when inquiring about it. A tad dishonest!

Although repairs were eventually completed and a partial credit was issued, Nonn's declined to provide any further accommodation despite the prolonged disruption and clear service breakdowns. The response from leadership made it clear that customer experience was not a priority once problems occurred. We made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this privately. Based on how these issues were handled, we would not choose to work with Nonn's again and would encourage others to carefully consider their options before committing to a significant project.

They did not tell me they did this all they did was move a calendar we had put up with a magnet over the dent. it took getting a hold of the Waukesha Mgr. to try to get this situation fixed. After three weeks they brought a new refrigerator replacement but it had a bigger dent in it than the original. I finally made a deal with them to make a credit on my credit card and am just keeping the dented original refrigerator. I guess the worst part is that they damaged the fridge and tried to cover it up without telling me. My question is can you trust a company after they do something like this?

My eyes sometimes have a more 'caviar' taste than what my budget allows, but Autumn introduced us to a happy medium that didn't leave me feeling as if I were compromising. She genuinely wants you to love the product and does not try to upsell their most expensive item on display. We did go and pickup one of the tile orders ourselves from their north/east warehouse, and there was a small miscommunication with the delivery, but I can't fault them since it was during a snowstorm and was eventually cleared up with a couple of follow-up phone calls.
