We contacted Walgenmeyers for a quote on flooring for our kitchen…read more Mike came out right away and gave us a fair price. The installation was done when they said it would be, but that's when all the problems started! They told us our floor was uneven and showed us they would have to put down leveler. Well, the guys put it where it didn't belong and didn't put it where it did belong. Now when we walk on certain parts of our kitchen floor it makes all kinds of popping noises, because it's not level! We contacted our salesman Mike right away. Mike came out about two weeks later and said he couldn't hear anything. They didn't account for the face plate on the bottom of the dishwasher either, so they left that piece off we told Mike about that also, then we were told by Mike the salesman we needed a transition piece where the carpet meets the new flooring, so we bought that. Then when the installers were putting the transition piece on, they advised us to buy another piece incase our type of tile was no longer available. So, when they gave us the other piece (just before they left) we noticed it was a totally different piece and wasn't even the right length! I told Mike I wanted a refund for this piece and he said no! We complained about this to our salesman Mike, and he said he never sold us the extra piece even though I had the invoice. But he couldn't find his copy anywhere. (yeah right) When I pulled out our invoice Mike actually raised his voice to us and said he would contact us later and we could also talk to the owner. Never been able to get ahold of the owner either! We tell all our friends that are remodeling to never go to Walgenmeyers unless you want to get ripped off and have shotty work done that's not guaranteed! Because absolutely nothing has been fixed!

We were disappointed. Careless workers, and poor response to errors they made…read more -They underestimated materials, which meant the movers arrived with unfinished flooring. -The installers sawed everything inside the living room, covering everything in dust. -Three transition pieces had issues. One was much too tall and a tripping hazard, another did not allow the door to close, and a third fell off. It took 4 weeks several emails and phone calls to remedy, and one doesn't match the two other transition pieces right across the hall. They could not explain to us why the same kind of piece couldn't be used. (Same transition from laminate to vinyl.) It looks very odd. (Two wood transitions and one black metal one in the same hallway.) -The trim work around an outlet and loft posts has gaps. -The response time to our concerns took a very long time, although I got the remainder of the bill right away. The actual wood laminate product looks good, but I worry should issues arise in the future with such poor customer service.

CTW left us extremely disappointed…read more After a pause in our project in which we were deciding how to treat our stairs, I reached out to Amy, our sales person. We wanted to move forward on installation with the carpet we'd purchased from CTW for our stairs. Amy responded via email with "We took install off the quote but had carpet ordered already, so whatever we have left over should be able to do the stairs." To confirm this, she came to our house (30 minutes late with no explanation) to confirm this and undoes the rolls of carpet, measures them and states there is not enough to finish the stairs. I'm thinking well can't you get the balance of carpet needed? "No, it's discontinued." She said she could look for a match back at the store, but we'd need to pay for it. She also tried to back-pedal by saying we only purchased enough to do the tops of the stairs. AFTER SHE WROTE TO ME WE HAD PURCHASED ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE PROJECT AND I HAD INVOICES AS PROOF. We paid for 99 sq yds of carpet, before any discussion of treating the stairs differently, and that line item on the invoice was the exact same as when we ordered carpet that included enough to carpet the stairs. Did her "A Team" (her words) of installers cut the carpet incorrectly? The lead installer left our house midway through the install, leaving 2 apprentices alone to finish the work. Did someone else mis-measure the carpet? I am speechless. What kind of a circus is this business? I have been ghosted for two weeks now. I've reached out to Amy and left a message for Kieran, the VP. All I've gotten is radio silence. I do NOT recommend CTW.

Summary: I Had a Contract with Floor360 -- Got a Defective Floor & Had to file a Lawsuit…read more I built a new home in 2024, and because I've done this rodeo before, my builder and I agreed I would handle the flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and lighting contracts directly rather than through the builder. I'd had good experiences with Floor360 in my Veridian homes, so I emailed Jen Fickling on Sept 2, 2023 proposing that Floor360 work directly with me. They agreed, and I signed a flooring/tile/installation contract via Dropbox on Jan 17, 2024. That contract contained the provision that "all installations done according to industry trade standards". I selected a premium 9.5" Shaw Expressions white oak floor (~$30K). When Floor360 came to install in February, the HVAC wasn't on and the required 5-day acclimation hadn't happened. Unbeknownst to me, my builder was a chiropractor who had inherited the construction company from his father, and the project manager responsible for site conditions like HVAC was his X-ray technician. To avoid delays, Floor360 and the builder privately agreed the builder would install instead of waiting for Floor360's next opening. The builder had never installed this product, didn't buy all required materials, and Floor360 knew this as well as knowing proper acclimation had not occurred. Unsurprisingly, the floor failed--and only then was I told the installation had been switched, despite promises that Floor360's "most senior crew" would do the work. The installation violated basic manufacturer requirements: no 5-day acclimation (installed mid-winter with no HVAC), fasteners spaced 15-24" instead of 6-8", no end fastening, and no required glue assist. Result: cracked boards, lifted seams, splinters, flared ends, and a wood floor that feels like walking on artisanal cobblestone. Shaw inspected, found 70% of boards damaged, and denied warranty coverage due to improper installation/acclimation. Replacement bids are ~$50K, and I legally have to disclose the defect if I sell. What makes this worse is the secrecy. I emailed the replacement designer, Nichole Abbott, repeatedly asking how installation went (2/14/24, 2/24/24, 3/12/24) yet no answers. When I asked where the leftover product was (4/23/24 & 4/24/24), she vaguely said she'd ask "the installers," leaving out the key detail: Floor360 didn't install it. Floor360 now insists my contract was with the builder, even though the builder contract explicitly allowed direct vendor contracts, Floor360 was paid via my personal funds & construction loan, and they accepted that arrangement in writing. Floor360 subcontracting with my builder to swap installation roles on the down low has nothing to do with their contractual obligation to me. The two people who negotiated the working model (Jen Fickling and Christie Thompson) have since left, and it appears nobody bothered to review the terms before denying responsibility. My attorney says the liability is clear. We've given Floor360 multiple chances to fix this; they haven't. So we filed a lawsuit, which you may follow by searching for them on CCAP. A complaint with DSPS/DATCP is in-process. Floor360: if anything here is inaccurate, reply publicly and I'll correct it immediately. You're also welcome to send corrections to my attorney. My only goal is accuracy and getting an undamaged & fully warranted floor. After reading our contract line by line, do you disagree that a properly installed, fully warranted floor is a reasonable expectation?

A few months ago we had a water incident that damaged our kitchen and dining room and we decided:…read more"It's time to replace some flooring, it is time to replace some carpet!" We filed an insurance claim, we got the dosh, and so we figured we'd shop around. Carpet Plus was one of our first starts. When we got there on a Saturday afternoon I knee-jerked and said: "Uhm, are they open?" as the lot was COMPLETELY empty. Shake it off, it was a Saturday and nobody is redoing floors all the time. Went in. No one else was there, expected. The sole attendant launched into a vague, dispassionate toned "I Don't Really Wanna Be Here" overview of the products and their various virtues and then disengaged entirely. I definitely appreciate the hands off approach. What I don't appreciate versus what I've seen elsewhere between box stores and local joints: NO. POSTED. PRICES. Like for the material itself, let alone anything else. I'm posting this after having been through a local store where all that was posted, sales were shared, rebates announced. Maybe they're fine but they need to be more professional, post prices, and most importantly: SHOW they care.

I had some Tarkett flooring installed in two bedrooms. Months later I found a bump under the floor…read morefrom a piece of debris that was left and called them to come look at it. Dave looked at it and agreed to fix it but never got back to me as promised and I let it go as I have a very busy work schedule. Fast forward 3 years and each piece of Tarkett flooring is buckled up/curling up from the sides and the floor looks like an ocean. 6 months have past since I first called this problem in. 3 people have already looked at the floor and took pictures. Each of the 3 have confirmed the floor is bad and said it will be replaced under the lifetime warranty but now they say a 4th person needs to look at it. I've been waiting over 2 months for this 4th person, calling the people that have already been here but they just blow me off.
