Stopped here for an early dinner on a friends' recommendation. The process is that you walk up to a counter, place your order, then find a table and they bring the food to you. Lots of picnic-table style seating, although some of it is cramped and a little too close together. I spent most of my meal dodging little feet into my back from the kids sitting behind me. I mean, there was a foot or less of room between my bench and theirs. Atmosphere is very casual, with lots of sawdust and peanut shells on the floor. Sometimes they have live entertainment. A game room and a banquet room are also on the premises. I ordered a two-meat combination, selecting the tri-tip & chicken, along with the coleslaw and tri-tip chili as my sides. I was hungry! My wife ordered a 1 meat platter and my kid had the kid's meal. I found the food to be good, with the chicken being my favorite. The tri-tip was cooked well and tender with almost no fat. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. The chili was great, with just enough zing to remind you that you're eating chili. While the food was good, the portions were scrawny! The size of each of the meals ordered was almost the same! I expected the two meat platter to have twice as much meat as the 1 meat platter. Not so. As a matter of fact, all 3 platters appeared to have almost the same amount of meat! WTF?? A 2 meat platter contains the same amount of meat as a kid's meal or a 1 meat platter? (Edit - To clarify, my 2 meat platter contained approx 2 very thin slices of tri-tip about the 2/3 size of a playing card and about 4 "strips" of chicken breast meat. Not even a 1/2 breast or steak's worth! Sides were about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of each. Also had 1 roll. For $13.00??) Because of this, I won't be going back. If I'm paying extra for a two-meat platter, I expect extra meat!

I like this type of casual restaurant. Picnic table seating, concrete floors and free peanuts, throw the shells on the floor. They have an arcade completely separate from the dining area for the kids and pool tables in the back of the dining area for the big kids. Definitely a locals place. You walk in and order at the counter then take a seat and they bring all the food to your table. I think the BBQ here is really good. It's real BBQ that's for sure. They give plenty of it too. I'm not one to share a meal or usually have a doggie bag but I've done both here. I've had, BBQ chicken, ribs, tacos, sandwich, etc. ALL good.

I agree with most of the posts about this spot...the food is good, the service is just not great. The girls behind the counter don't care if you go there to eat or not. The atmosphere is not bad for a strip mall. They could use some live music though...they could use music at all (the TVs and sound system was on the fritz during our visit), it was too quiet. Weird they close at 8pm, even on the weekends...

Backwoods BBQ is the best barbecue in SoCal. Hands down. Great, Quality food for a price that no competitors can touch. On site catering comes with a huge BBQ and smoker and they carve the tritip and chicken on site on the buffet line! Bad ass! Not to mention the smell that that bad boy produces is insane! Your whole neighborhood will smell like mesquite barbecue. Drool. If you haven't tried the tritip chili, you are truly missing out on a party for your tastebuds. It's loaded with meat and flavor. Steve is awesome to work with and will make sure all of your requests are addressed. If you're looking for some great food, awesome service and to wow your guests, I highly recommend Backwoods BBQ.

Pulled pork, chicken, cheesy corn, mac n cheese

We had Backwoods BBQ cater my daughter's baby shower this past Saturday and the food was the hit of the party! We had pulled pork, mesquite chicken, tri-tip chili, macaroni salad, baked beans, dinner salad, mac n cheese and cheesy corn. I was worried I would run out of food for my 60 guests, but Steve showed up on time and with enough food to feed 100 people! Everyone was able to take to go plates home. Honestly, the food was the topic of the party even 2 days later people were calling us and texting us asking who prepared the delicious food! Steve is very professional and communicates well. I highly recommend Backwoods BBQ for your catering needs!

Each order I've gotten I've eaten so fast I haven't even grabbed a photo. I order the Quesa Birria, a quesadilla stuffed full of juicy birria meat. One for $4 or 3 for $10. Their red and green salsas are delicious. I highly suggest enjoying them as quickly as you can, the juicy meat can make it get soggy with time. Next time I'd like to try a "stoner" quesa birria, the quesa birria but with added hot Cheetos for a fun twist. Tacos Chonchis is a red food truck located on grand in the parking lot of a liquor store near the Ortega's entrance. Their hours are set and the service is friendly. I loved Tacos Chonchis and can't wait to return again very soon.

We had questions and the customer service was friendly and super helpful. First- we ordered the brisket with green beans and mac and cheese. The meal was great. The meat was Juicy and tender. The green beans were amazing. I don't think I've had better. The Mac was good. Noodles were perfectly cooked and nicely coated in cheese. Next we got the loaded fries.. super good. Lots of flavor and very complementary. Good sliced jalapeño and not too spicy. Everyone was talking about the catfish.. so, we also ordered catfish. I don't eat any sort of seafood or fish... but I was asked to try it and I said I would...truthfully, I expected it to come back up.. surprise.. it did not. My husband was shocked. It was perfectly seasoned, fresh and not fishy at all. That's a huge compliment from someone who usually gags at the thought of fish. I would actually go as far as saying, I'd recommend it! Finally, we got a side of yams.. and let me tell you- I was in heaven. The yams were something to write home about. I have never had better yams and I challenge you to see if you can find better.. I don't think they exist. Overall, we cleaned our plates and ate every last bite.. truth be told- we had to sneak bites before I even took pictures. Definitely give Grammy's touch of soul a try, you will not be disappointed.

Before I start this review, for those wondering, this is not a duplicate of the "Hells Kitchen…read moreMotorsports Bar and grill". This is the same restaurants "food truck". The Hells Kitchen M.B.G Food truck is a delicious truck that serves smoked barbecue, and drinks. They have a pop up stage with live music and a complete pop up bar. Their set up is rock themed and the atmosphere is bold. They also provided free coffee and creamer throughout the whole day. I came here a while ago when they were at Lake Elsinore Motocross park for the Lake Elsinore Gp. The owner was there and he was super friendly and chill. I asked what he recommended and he told me to get their Smoked BBQ pulled pork sandwich. I ordered and waited. As I waited I listened to one of the bands that were playing on there pop up stage. The music was pretty good. It was also a first for me because I've never seen a food truck that also provided live music. I'd say the food took about 30-35 minutes for it to come out which wasn't too bad. When my food came out I got a a very large smoking hot juicy sandwich with fries and coleslaw on the side. As I started eating the Sandwich I got mixed flavors of sweetness and spice. The meat on the sandwich was also moist with their Barbecue sauce. By the time I was halfway done with this sandwich I was already full. The fries were quite crispy and delicious and the coleslaw was great too. If you like great barbecue, music, and people, I'd definitely give the Hells Kitchen M.B.G Food truck a try. From what I experienced the service was excellent and the food was delicious. As the day turned into night the Food Truck put on full live concert. If I ever come across them at another event I'll definitely be sure to stop by.

HORRIBLEY OVERPRICED BBQ!!!!…read more This place has a lot of potential, but they are poorly managed and just HORRIBLEY OVERPRICED!!!! They charged us nearly $25 dollars for an 11-oz bowl of brisket Mac & cheese at the Bite of Seattle and didn't take our name or give us a number. They just told us to go over to the side and wait with a group of about 20 other people, which then quickly became about 30 people, all waiting for food. When they had food items ready, they just yelled out, " who had (insert food item here) and then it was a free for all as to who could grab the food first regardless of how long they had been waiting. Ypu could have easily not purchased any food at all and just gone up and grabbed food!!! Long lines!!! Unorganized!!! Overpriced!!!
