Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast here. Fantastic corned beef hash, excellent service, and I loved the thick slices of sourdough toast.

The food was amazing, everyone was extremely kind, and the atmosphere really made us feel cozy and at home. We will definitely be back in the future. PS The peanut butter french toast SLAPS. Delicious breakfast!!!! We have not been to Yakima in ages and lucked out finding this place. It had a very nice family feel. I had the village and it was life changing. From now on I am going to put asparagus and some cream cheese on my eggs. It was out of this world delicious. Not greasy at all it's just very flavorful. I loved it here! I was with my high school friends and we enjoys every little item places on the wall or was for decor! I knew something was right when I walked in and was greeted! The ladies there took care of us, even when someone went on a break she re checked on us at the end to ensure we were ok! Now that is service! The food was great, I got the one with gravy, potatoes, and veggies oh my! It was delightful! My other two friends got a scramble and an omelette, they all enjoyed it! We enjoyed our cup of joe and just sucked in all the delicious smells and caught up on life! I enjoyed myself, I had to make sure I was able to spread the word about a good place! About 15 mins for a table and 15 before we could order. The service was not good. The last waitress we had was very kind but the first one deliberately ignored us when we were trying to order. The food was nothing special and my dad didn't like his food either. I probably should have ordered something different. Also they just put a slab of Swiss 'lunch cheese' and two poached eggs on top of mushrooms, apples, and sausage in a frying pan. Again, I don't exactly know what I was expecting, however, this wasn't that great of a meal. Next time we will just go to an actual breakfast restaurant. We've wandered on down to backwoods Café a couple of times when we're feeling like a hearty breakfast with just a little bit of Mexican influence! It's located in an old strip mall that I remember from growing up, but can't ever remember actually going into. Over top of the mall is a very iconic sign from childhood. It's fun when breakfast is also nostalgic! Upon entering, you will note that the place is very lodgey feeling. Lots of wood and decor that reminds you of a cross between he old west and a place you'd stay out in the woods - it's a good vibe! I don't remember if it was just a few of the tables are all of them, but ours was definitely a picnic bench. It added to the whimsy of the place. The folks working here are uniformly friendly and went out of their way to make sure our drinks were full, the kids had crayons and that we had all the extra sauce we needed. More on that to come! The kiddos split some standard eggs, toast and hashbrowns as well as some French toast. There is no shortage of bread that morning, but all that was quite nice! My better half had the Ranchero omelette it was delicious! Great flavor, and it came with a roasted jalapeño. Those were available with a number of the dishes And were excellent. I had the macchatta and it was boss! Our server recommended that we get it with a side of enchilada sauce and boy howdy was it good! The coffee was plentiful, The service excellent and the food very solid. We really appreciated the Mexican influence in the traditional dishes. It gives the stuff just enough of a different vibe to be interesting, but everything was familiar enough that it shouldn't scare you away. This is definitely a spot you should check out for breakfast on a weekend, weekday, or anytime you're looking for something just a little bit different from what you're used to for the most important meal of the day! read more

We stopped in for lunch while vehicle was being serviced across the street ... we opted for a breakfast meal ( they serve breakfast all day) ... hubby ordered a Bone in ham and egg breakfast ... it was Deeeelicios and I opted for the Backwoods French toast ( coated in crunchy corn flakes) .. also Deeeelicious.... We are going to do what I call a compliment sandwich. First, let me say that the food is good. That being said, this place is terrible to be at when there are more than two tables to be served. They seem to be understaffed and woefully behind in technology that would speed up the process of ordering and paying. In addition to this it seems that there is only one employee that is able to take orders and money from customers. I'm not sure if that is a control/trust issue between management and employees, nevertheless it adds unnecessary time to an already long process of a meal. Finally, the staff is friendly. read more

If you don't have Yelp and you're not a local, you won't find this amazing little hole in wall. Such good home style food with large portions! I got the eggs Benedict with a twist, they added sausage gravy to it as well with fried potatoes, it's called the snow slide. I would highly recommended it. The only downfall is the wait. If it's busy, you'll get seated but not have your order taken for about 10-15 minutes. But in my opinion it was well worth the wait!
