Me and the wife just had a couple of burgers. She had the get lei d burger and I built my own. Beef patty, bacon, egg, jalapeños , American cheese, Mayo on a pretzel bun. Both were outstanding. Service was great all around. When we arrived the staff at the front door was friendly and welcoming. The place itself was clean and just an overall nice atmosphere. Our server Amanda B. did a great job. She was very attentive, yet not overbearing. Amanda added to our great dining experience. read more

Three things helped me give them 5 stars. First, they have high chairs for their high top tables. I appreciate the think of families. This is the first restaurant I have seen them. Second, I had the best Swiss / Mushroom burger tonight! It was cooked perfectly. Lastly, our server Jackie was so amazing. Her service was great and she found time to focus on my son which was very sweet. We are going back soon! read more

I like how this place is listed as a Sports Bar ... when they played Sing-Go super loud throughout the entire Cubs-Sox Crosstown Classic. Every TV had no sound. I won't knock the food because it was good but got irritated when the bartender rounded the change from the bill up and kept the profit. That's why she got a zero tip. read more

First time at Backroads, fun place with good food. received excellent service from Alex.

I came in with a group of 4 yesterday and everything was great! I got the southwest salad and it was so good! Definitely will be ordering it again. Our server was Lindsey and she gave excellent service. 5/5! read more

Food was great and Jackie provided excellent service. Definitely recommend visiting and requesting her section.

This is a great local place that usually has no wait and consistent food. Jackie took care of us today and was great as all their staff is. The weekday specials are pretty solid. I would prefer a little more diverse tap menu as well as a few more grilled options vs the deep fried and beer battered options they have (things like breaded shrimp or beer battered fish tacos where I'd much prefer grilled ) but overall a solid and consistent spot . read more

When I walked in, I was greeted by Elliot. He was so helpful and even have us recommendations. I will definitely visit again because of Elliot. read more

This restaurant never lets us down. We've been here a few times now. Wait staff is amazing. It's upbeat, kind of boisterous in a good way and seems to appeal to many different crowds. Food is 100% top notch! Burgers are to die for. If you can dream it, I promise they can create it for you. Love the sweet potato fries (crinkle cut!!!) the firecracker shrimp is super yummy and you CAN NOT LEAVE WITHOUT THE SWISS MOUNTAIN CAKE!!! read more

The burgers at Backroads are awesome! Heather was great, recommending the arse burger.

Abby, our waitress, was great and knowledgeable. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and drinks perfect.

Creative burgers, great atmosphere, and awesome service! Nay was our server and was incredible!

We live walking distance from this spot, so have been hoping a solid business would eventually move in. We've found it! Hubby and I stopped in here for a drink a few months back, and were (very!) pleasantly surprised when we walked into a new, fun bar layout, a band, and no seats available! The new bar looks impressive and the vibe was very fun. Although we didn't have seats, we had no problem ordering drinks at the bar - which were very heavy pours, mind you! We eventually found seats and both bartenders checked on us regularly. I was also impressed by the local liquor selection. This week, we decided to give the food a try. The burger menu was impressive, so we went in with high expectations. We ordered carry-out, and were happy with the french fry quality (still crunchy - and very tasty!). Docking one star for a few reasons: hubby's burger was overcooked, and missing the sauce (which per reviews, sounds like that is a frequent problem). We ordered a side of ranch that was also missing. We weren't provided a receipt, which we found odd, as well - but the price we paid seemed accurate. That said: the burgers were still fantastic, the garlic aoili was to-die-for, reuben rolls were awesome and serving size was enormous. Carry-out tip for the restaurant: don't package fried food on lettuce. Our reuben rolls were super soggy - but a quick reheat in the broiler fixed it. Can't wait to dine-in, next! read more

Today I stopped at Backroads. The bartender Heather was very helpful. I didn't know what to order, so she explained the menu well. Since it's Wednesday, gotta try a burger, $5 off! I went with the Yellowstone, fantastic choice! I'm looking forward to coming back and trying one of the other selections from the menu. read more

Always a good meal made with quality ingredients and served in generous portions. Homemade soup and crunchy fries never disappoint. The outdoor patio was relaxing even on a drizzly, gray day. Our server, Sharon, is the best. She is friendly, attentive, and fun. She has taken care of us before, so we're always glad to see her at our table. Makes you feel at home. (Except she brings the food!) This is a wonderful place to gather with friends and know you'll have a good meal and great service at reasonable prices. read more
