We enjoyed our first visit. The service was quick and friendly. Our waitress did a great job of keeping the drinks refilled and the kitchen got the food out quickly. My wife had the Dam That's Hot burger and she said it's as hot as they say it is (which she enjoys spicy food). I had the Rio Bravo burger and was really impressed with the all the different flavors on one burger! Overall great place and we hope to make it back to try out the other burgers! read more

First time here and glad we stopped in. Burger selection was huge and they were well cooked. Tons of options. Fries are good (and plenty of them) but they are missing some small thing that would make them amazing. (Not sure what that is, maybe duck fat or seasoning right after frying?) Ary was our server and she was wonderful. Knowledgeable and friendly. The desserts looked amazing but we didn't have room! Maybe on the next visit. read more

We had a great experience here. On the recommendation of our lovely server, Jackie, I had the peanut butter and jelly burger with bacon. It was so good! Everything we had, including some unique appetizers, was really tasty. read more

One of my go to's, their burgers are always on point. Their burger of the month is always a little strange but when I get the courage to try one, it's always good. When I say strange, I had a dessert burger which was a burger with cookie dough on it! Their fries are so good as well read more

Burgers are good, but it will be as much as a car payment. Expensive! They have probably the best fries with the burger, but again, expensive. Service has always been good. I sure hope that Nigerian prince email pays off, I might be able to afford another meal. We still recommend but this is inflation on steroids. read more

Foods good. large portions. Service and ambiance great. Off the beaten path which is nice .

Backroads is the bomb.com for burgers! Had both carry out and at the restaurant and they are the best in the area. Haven't tried anything else on the menu yet as the burger is too good to pass up. Good atmosphere on patio and a nice spot to sit for a spell and enjoy a nice cold one. read more

Backroads Burger & Bar - 3AM Burger with Mac Daddy add on #Whaaaat! - Burgers Near Me - Plainfield, Illinois

Backroads is terrific. The selection of burgers is amazing. The service is always really good and the owners are nice people. When they bought the place, they kept Robert, the original owner of a place in that location on as head of the kitchen. He knows his way around the kitchen really well. The menu has a nice variety of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. They have daily specials of both food and drinks. The chili, in winter is the best I've ever had. My favorite burger is the Backroads. It's a perfect combination of a burger, some pulled pork, and a few other things. It's hard not to order it every time. Very friendly service, a great bar, and very good food. That's all I can ask for. The outdoor dining area is great when the weather is nice. I really enjoy sitting out there when it's not too hot outside. The atmosphere is great too. read more

Absolutely love this place! Went here on one of my first dates with my boyfriend and now we go once a month. Food is good and drinks are good. The burgers are excellent and HUGE! Our faves are the Totchos, The Yellowstone, and The Río Bravo. The blueberry mojito is excellent and I can't wait to have another! Love all of the tvs so we can keep up with the game. This place is always poppin and a good time! read more

Delicious burgers with fair amount of choices to pick from. Friendly service and tasty food!

So according to my last post, my fiancé and I haven't been here in 7 months. We only went tonight because our friends were going for Bingo. So, a bill of almost $90 later, we got a few beers, 1 appetizer and 10 tacos that were supposedly $12. So, not sure how we got to that massive dollar amount. The tacos sucked. They were literally the most lame tacos I have ever had. They had about 1 tablespoon of bland taco meat, along with a fistful of lettuce and a dash of tomato. I've had more flavorful tacos at home. I truly don't know why we gave this place another try, it was another huge failure. The only thing they had going for them, was service. Our waitress was very good. read more

Burgers Burgers Burgers! Every time I would pass this place it is always packed so my husband and I decided to try it and it did not disappoint! From entering this neighborhood bar and restaurant I was greeted immediately. Our server Molly was AMAZING!! It was quite busy and she didn't miss a beat. One thing about me is that I can be super picky with food quality and textures and ingredients so to my surprise I was happy to see I could create my own. My burger was juicy and the spicy shrimp appetizer was a party for my tastebuds, I will definitely be in the backroad again read more

My friend had been talking about this place for some time so decided to try it out. Reservations were made due to limited outdoor patio seating. Service was amazing and prompt. The chipotle mayo was amazing and different from other burger places. I had a mango beer that was tasty as well. I think it's nice that they give you an option to have different types of meats as your patty. The drink and dessert menu looked amazing too, but the burger was plenty for me. The fries were crispy and tasted great being dipped into the chipotle mayo. Highly recommend this place for the cleanliness, extensive menu, and great customer service. They even had a qr code on your bill for touchless payment option which is a nice touch! read more

This place is a gem! Dave and Heather, thank you from our entire family for bringing Backroads to this community. The food is amazing! Mary Had a Little Lamb, come on! This is a must try, melt in your mouth to the last bite. We have been there almost every other day to try new items on the menu. Let's just say we have not found anything remotely not good. The service is superb. Gabby and Grace provided us an amazing experience (on separate occasions). So sweet to our kids. The food is already great, but the atmosphere filled with love and happiness you can taste in the food! This place is definitely a must! read more

I came to Backroads tonight and felt the need to write this review because my service from Heather was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Service with a smile and recommend one of the best burgers I have ever had. This place has great food and great prices but I will be coming back because of the service. Heather is top notch. Also when you come here you need to get the Big Arse Pretzel! SOOO GOOD. ALEX WAS GREAT TOO! read more

This is the thrid time that we visited Backroads since the opening of the restaurants after Covid. If anyone has concerns about visiting Backroads and their compliance with covid cleansiness don't hesitate patronizing this establishment. These guys are on top of it!! We watched people leave after eating and how they prepaired tables for the next visitors. The employees there practically swarmed the tables with spray sanatizer and wiped down everything and I mean everything. Most places that we visit wipe down the tables and might give the chairs a light dusting. Not Backroads!! These guys wiped down the tables, chairs and all the rungs even where you put your feet. Kids were playing darts they wiped down the darts, the machines, I mean everything!! I just had to thorw this out there because I was thoroughly impressed. BTW the food is EXCELLENT !!!! read more

Order a burger since I heard they were good here. It was good, not great. $14 for burger then they ask about cheese so I added. Same for lettuce ($.50) tomatoe (.50) pickles-2 .(50) mayo (.75) . Seriously turned into a $18 burger. When you start charging for condiments- I'm out! Service was good though. read more

Tonight as I got home from work I got a random notification from Yelp about the Angry Shrimp here. We've never been here before, driven by and had a quick thought about stopping but never when we were hungry or going for food. After reading the reviews, seeing the pictures of amazing looking food, and more importantly the owner responses, we decided let's not miss this sign and go try that place we've seen a few times. The food is amazing! Our server Jackie (hope I spelled that right) was great! She told us a bit about the place, how amazing the owners are, she told us about the daily specials! We were really disappointed though.....that we never made it a priority to come here! We're very much looking forward to coming again! read more

What a fantastic meal with great friends. Service was outstanding! Hot a Spicey burger that really hit the spot. Great fries. They don't have sweet tea but Skyler will hook you up with some anyway. Took home a 1 1/2 pound pretzel that may be the death of me but, oh well. I look forward to returning when I'm in town. Thanks again Skyler read more

First time going and loved their food. The atmosphere is really nice with dimmed lights. Kids got the cheese pizza and grilled cheese which they both liked. Burger was juicy and pretty big. Angry shrimp was so good and wing were pretty darn good as well. Next time getting the reaper Mayo sauce cause I like a nice kick to my wings. Which firecracker & mango Habanero didn't have. Will definitely go back and try other items in their menu. read more

After watching reruns of Hawaii Five O in one scene they were inside a restaurant in Honolulu and the were talking up a dish called Loco Moco. I decided to google what Loco Moco was. I found it a simple but unusual combination of simple ingredients that intrigued me. I the searched on YELP to find if anyone in my area served Loco Moco and I fouled this restaurant. I drove here just to try it. I must say it was delicious. I have talked it up with friends and to date have been here four times. Each time the Loco Moco. I will be back. read more

Stopped by after a baseball tournament game with about 9 kids and parents on a Saturday early in the evening. They were able to accommodate our group on the spot of about 25. The wait staff & management was phenomenal in taking care of us along with the other patrons. The food was excellent. The orders were all correct. Our drinks were alway full. Can't say enough on how this was a great experience & excited to come back with just my family to try out more of their delicious food. read more

We had heard of another restaurant nearby that we wanted to try. The wait was too long so we asked google for other restaurants nearby. The second restaurant we stopped was only serving on line order pick ups, no sit down. A few doors down was Backroads. The third try was the charm. I love a good burger, the menu was large & the burger was perfect. My husband ordered a Reuben sandwich which was also good & the fries were nice & crispy. Fun atmosphere, great service & food. So happy we found Backroads. Can't wait to go back. read more
