So we can't be fooled. The tech tried to tell us that we needed to replace the control board. That's a $2,000 repair. We said no, but still had to pay $300 for his service call. Then we called a competitor who showed us that our problem was a hypo-allergenic heater filter with a weave so tight that the heater shut down rather than pump more air through that filter. It cost us $150 for the other guy's site visit and $35 at Lowe's for a new, less tightly woven filter. Problem solved. Don't go to Scatton's.

Their cleanup was immaculate. I highly recommend Scatton's and will be using them in the future for all our HVAC needs.

Yikes for us, but easy for him to get the job done. He serviced our system and gave us an estimate on a replacement for the 22-year-old AC unit. We bought our own Google Learning Nest thermostat off Amazon, and you heard it here first folks, DON'T DO THAT! It wouldn't work and I regret not letting Joe provide it himself. He reinstalled the old thermostat and now we've got a tuned up HVAC system that runs better than ever. When the bell tolls on our ancient AC, we'll have Walsh & Son handle it all like the pros that they are. Thanks, Joe!

We have tried contacting him multiple times and haven't gotten a response. Now our calls are sent to voicemail. Finally, when it was connected without him, we were told there is a leak in what had been installed. We wanted to give him the opportunity to fix it but no one answers or calls back. Update: no response still. We had two plumbers come out and couldn't believe this is how it was left. There was also no shut off valve installed on the same floor which was out of code. Surprised a licensed plumber would leave anyone in such circumstances, especially with a small child in the home.

It's a small operation, just him and his son, but that gives a very personal touch to the business. He's very responsive and makes every effort to get the job done, especially if you are without heat or cooling. We've generally called him for basic HVAC tune-ups, but we recently installed a top-of-the-line HVAC system, during the coldest week in November, which this year was unseasonably cold. We were never without heat. Dan worked tirelessly through the day to get done what needed to be done to ensure he had the new heater up and running on day 1, then finished the rest of the job in the following days. He has also been very responsive years ago when our previous HVAC failed to produce heat, re-prioritizing his other appointments to make sure he was able to get our heat back on ASAP. He never shies away from answering any questions, and he's incredibly informative and reliable. He recently even stopped by to do a check-up after accidentally injuring his leg the previous day, and despite his obvious issues with mobility, he was all up and down, checking everything out. Plus, his prices are really reasonable. I can't recommend this guy enough!
