Usually I only crave pie during the holiday season but I stumbled upon this place and I'm happy I did. This is a haven for pie enthusiasts seeking both classic and inventive flavors. Their offerings span sweet, savory, and creamy pies, all crafted with a dedication to quality and taste. They had so many options but the Key Lime Pie stands out with its perfect balance of tartness and sweetness, complemented by a buttery, flaky crust. I love key lime pie and not many people still make it. It's a refreshing treat that's hard to resist. While I indulged in the Key Lime, the French Apple Pie caught my eye with its golden, crumbly topping. It's definitely on my list for next time. Prices are reasonable only $7.99 making it easy to pick up a pie to share or savor solo. If Pie isn't your thing just walk around the corner and enjoy their restaurant affiliate Beyond Bread.

I've heard about Back Dough for years, but never had the occasion to give it a try until Christmas, when we were cooking dinner for my husband's family. Since we had guests with different preferences, Back Dough was the perfect place to make sure we had something that everyone liked. The favorites were mixed berry and cherry, but the chocolate and apple were also very much enjoyed. And despite the pre-holiday chaos, the staff was so kind and patient while I made my choices. I'll definitely be back again!

    Coconut cream pie. So good!

While I enjoyed my pie I was expecting a bit more of an actual bakery than just a pie "factory" for lack of a better term. There's no where to sit within the building but I believe it's part of the Beyond Bread location that is right next store, so if you want a place to sit you can go in there to eat your pie. I ordered a coconut cream pie and a lemon meringue for my mom. My friend got German chocolate cream pie and strawberry margarita. The German chocolate and coconut cream pies were divine! I was honestly expecting pie slices but definitely not a whole miniature pie! They also have pot pies and quiche available and the quiche sounds so good. But their pies are their specialty and I can see why. They are delicious. My mom devoured hers and I am still working on mine. It's a lot of food and fairly inexpensive. If I ever go back I'll get one of their quiches and try another one of their sweet pies. If you don't see a flavor you want in the case you can ask and they usually have extra in the back!

So cute! Their little pies and pot pies are tiny and adorable. The price is reasonable if you're not a baker. I am and I still enjoy coming here. Staff is always friendly!

I've bought and eaten 5 pies in the last 3 days. They were all AMAZING!! Perfect dough to pie filling ratio. I recommend the strawberry rhubarb.

Such a great find!! Delicious savory and sweet pies for 7.99 each. Had the shrimp and ham spinach quiche as well as the Boston cream pie.. buttery and yet flaky crust that I could eat as a stand alone. Service was quick. There is no seating- it's a pick up location only. Decent parking options.

Trio of berry pies - mixed, blueberry and a blueberry sour cream.

I went looking for some birthday pies and found them on Yelp. The place is adorable and they have so much to choose from - quiches pies, potpies all in a small tin - 1 is more than enough for 2 people. We had very bonanza - mixed berry, a blueberry and a blueberry sour cream. Fillings were good, they looked great but the crust was on the thick side. Our favorite was the mixed berry, very tasty. Next time I'll try a potpie and a quiche. Prices are $7.75 each pie (savory or sweet) and perfect for those who don't need a giant pie or just want to make someone's day a little sweeter!

The pies are amazing. The crust is soft, buttery, and melts in your mouth. A lot of flavours to try, including pot pies.

Ask the Community - Back Dough

Do you have any gluten free options?

Unfortunately, we do not make any gluten-free items in our bakeries but we do offer a gluten-free wrap made in a certified gluten-free facility as a bread option on any sandwich or salad for an additional charge.

Still waiting for a Rhubarb pie offering. I asked months ago so are you any closer? Come on, leave the Strawberries to their own pie.

As far as I know, we do not have intentions of making a rhubarb pie without the strawberries. While some may be able to tolerate the tartness of rhubarb without the strawberries, most people prefer the combination. Sorry for any disappointment this…

Are you making hot cross buns for Easter?

Hello Denise, thank you for reaching out with your question. Unfortunately, we will not be making hot cross buns for Easter but will have many other breads and pastries available. Thank you, Shelby.

My boss is diabetic and in love with Lemon Meringue pie! any chance you make a Sugar Free? I know it's a tough request but worth the ask.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out, it's so nice to hear your boss is a big fan of the lemon…

Are the Back Dough pies available for delivery at all? I tried lookin on DoorDash, GrubHub, Postmates, AND UberEats and all I found was the regular Beyond Bread menu. :(

Hi Elena, At this point no, we do not have a service delivering our pies. We will definitely take your idea under consideration; we hadn’t considered it prior to your post.…

LBP's bakers make the sublime goods that I recall from back then. Their crust is crunchy/chewy and their bread is substantial, yet cloud-like. Miches, baguettes, epis, loaves, rolls, croissants, & special flavors; all are highest quality bread. And their cake & pastries? Sainte vache! They have fluffy cream puffs, creamy eclairs, yummy cookies, flavorful pies, and more. And don't get me started on their cupcakes, which are moist and tender and even better when they're Cosmic. There is something indescribably delicious about the apple and cherry Crisps. *Chef's Kiss* The staff at La Baguette Parisienne is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They are also incredibly kind. On my last visit, I managed to take an epic fall (really more of a clumsy crumple) that included pushing a rolling counter across part of the store. My middle name is "Grace". The owner, Kim, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful (nor could the customers there at the time, so I guess kindness attracts kindness). She helped me to get up and was gracious regarding my minor rearrangement of her shop and cheerful enough that I went from embarrassment to laughter in record time. My late beloved Mama found this lovely, cute bake shop decades ago when they first opened, and she was a delighted weekly customer whenever she was at her east-side Tucson home. I hope to carry on her tradition, if less frequently from my UA-area home, until my time on the planet is done (bury me with a plain large Miche, a Cherry Crisp, and a Cosmic Cupcake, please). Highly recommend!

Back in my old home in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island we had an artisanal bread bakery too. (Calmed Seven Stars, they have grown in the 15 or so years they've been around, now offering pastries, coffees, & with several different locations. Barrio Bread is staying truer to the original vision - great breads, bagels, just stop in to shop, & take it away.) My husband & I were headed toward N Country Club Rd early Saturday morning so thought we'd stop in & see what Barrio Bread's space was like. 15 minutes after opening we were already 7 patrons from entering the store! The line moved quickly enough, enough though we could see customers being individually greeted and served with friendly & warm attention rather than impatience. When we made it to the front of the line, it was the founder/original baker Don Guerra himself staffing the register. What a nice person! I mentioned where we'd come from (and Seven Stars), and Don stepped away from the register to call over Matt, one of the current bakers. Matr's a graduate of Johnson & Wales University (whose world-class culinary program is in Little Rhody) who met Don when he came to JWU to teach a master class in bread. Matt also baked at Seven Stars for several years before moving out to Tucson! Small world. I'd say this encounter was a little taste of (old) home - but Barrio Bread is more beautiful to look at and more varied than what I'd have available back in RI. And that sourdough is the best I've ever had! Too bad I left my phone in the car so no pictures - at least at this visit.

Good news was there was no line, and only like 4 people in the shop. Bad news was they didn't have too many breads left. I went with a seeded Cuban bread and a seeded Epi bread. Total was about $10.00 for both breads. How were they? AMAZING! I can see why the owner is a James Beard Award Winner. He was the guy who rang me up, too! Super nice guy, knew some folks in front of us and seemed like a Stalwart in the community! Good stuff! The bread was so good! I ate the Cuban loaf toasted with just some butter. The sesame seeds, the slight sourdough tang, great crunch outside and soft inside. Great bread! The seeded Epi bread we pulled apart and snacked on during our drive back home. Again, crusty and seeded outside, soft chewy inside. If their "end of the day" bread is this good, I cant imagine how good their regular selections and specialty breads are. I will have to preorder sometime or spend the night in Tucson and stand in line right when they open to sample more of their delicious offerings! Absolutely delicious breads! Will be back, for sure!
