I was about to walk out the door and leave what I was buying right there on the counter, take my money and my additional donation out the door with me until a very friendly customer offered to make change for me. I talked to the "manager" and she was not a friendly person and was rather condescending. This new policy of hers is going to end up costing them a LOT of money in lost sales and credit card charges. Her excuse was that they are a non-profit and therefore can not keep very much cash on hand for making change. This is the first time I have ever seen ANY non-profit unwilling to make change for a $50. This new policy will certainly make me think twice about going there in the future.
