I've passed this coffee shop at least 100 times.. I finally stopped by after someone told me to try it and it was delicious! The iced coffee was so good, with the option to add flavors (caramel, mocha, vanilla, & more.. also sugar free options). I didn't try the food options but there was pastries and half portion of bagels with meat. Looked delish. I'll be back for sure!! read more

Absolutely the epitome of an oasis! We were leaving Key West early in the morning to catch a plane in Miami and about 10 minutes in I realized I didn't have coffee in the morning (ouch!) my side came up with two options: turn around and backtrack to Key West, or try this coffee shop off the road. I was trucking along and out of the corner of my eye caught what appeared to be a former convenience store that had a few cars in the parking lot with the name "Baby's" over and image of a sleepy eye. My first impression: well, this is gonna be an adventure... We stepped inside and immediately I could tell Gary and Olga were serious about making good coffee. The aroma was rich and fresh (not bitter and stale like some chain coffee shops) and you could still smell the roaster! I ordered a large regular drip and my wife got a medium. After putting my spin on it, one sip and Baby's Coffee immediately made my Top 5. Rich and balanced flavor, light to medium roasting, not buildup of tannic acid, no bitter roast aftertaste...I could go on and on. We left with a couple pounds of coffee, mugs, and thankfulness - for finding this true oasis on our journey home. What better way to end a lovely vacation! Thanks Gary and Olga!!! read more

After hearing tales if the amazing coffee at Baby's, we made a stop there on our way to Key West and it didn't disappoint. My friend pointed out that she suddenly realized "everything wrong with Starbucks coffee" after a few sips. The beans used are perfectly roasted, they understand that adding sugar or milk doesn't mean you want a little coffee in a glass of milk and sugar, they have only freshly brewed coffee---it is a fantastic place to pick up your daily pick-me-up. It is worth noting, though, if you are used to chain coffee vendors: this is NOT Starbucks. If you are looking for a Frappucino, a cozy cafe with lots if seating or breakfast, it's going to leave you disappointed. There is flavoring for coffees, but nothing like the more milkshake offerings (ie. Strawberry Frappucino). They have SOME food and snack offerings, but not a lot of offerings. Plan on making this a stop strictly for coffee and MAYBE some light snack fare--but mostly for the coffee. Added bonus: if you buy their whole bean coffee, they'll grind it for you at no charge! So don't be intimidated about picking up some coffee to bring home with you (I almost was scared out of getting some because I don't own a grinder until they offered to grind it for me). read more

There are only 3 small stand-up tables. No seating. It's not so much a coffee shop as it is a counter to pick up coffee and go. The bagels are in a warmer like hot dogs at 711. Not great food. Friendly staff. The coffee is good. read more

Your customer service is greatly lacking . And I'm pretty sure they forgot the principal the customer is always right . I won't trouble you with a long-drawn-out story . So, be warned--this is basically inside a gas station. When we first pulled up, we were kind of off-put by this...but it was so good! I had a latte and my husband had some of their house blend, black. Both were great. We also bought some bags of coffee to bring back to family as gifts and they both got rave reviews--the Hair of the Dog is STRONG and exactly what you want when you need a good, bold cup of coffee. Was introduced to this little coffee shop on recent trip to Florida. They are working to repair all damage from last Storm - But the Coffee and service were top notch. We were entertained by the Feathered Residents who live in the area outside of the shop - Momma had her chicks in tow and really added to the Smiles the Coffee brought. They are cleaning and restoring from the last storm but is definitely a wonderful spot to grab coffee and yummy open faced Bagel sandwiches. read more

Was looking for a nice afternoon coffee and I always appreciate something original, local, and of course good. I ordered a chai, iced, hubby got decaf iced white chocolate. Everything is wonderful. More than anything, the service was extremely welcoming and friendly. I would love to come back. Not sure how a place answers the phone as Baby's Coffee Key West is actually located at mile marker 15. Was looking for fresh pastries, limited muffin selection and everything else was refrigerated. What a fun, and oh so needed, discovery en route to Key West! This little coffee shop bills itself as the Southern Most Roaster (isn't everything in Key West "Southern most"? LOL) in the US. The place was slammed when we stopped by but staff was moving quickly and efficiently. We got some delicious drinks and more than a few pounds of whole bean coffee to go. The shop is quirky with a variety of odds and ends from gifts and the ever present key lime pie. I would absolutely make this a stop when driving through the keys. read more

Where does someone visiting the Keys from the coffee capitol of the U.S. find a decent cup of coffee? Baby's Coffee. A variety of good roasts available brewed and in bags of whole bean. Even have a decent selection of craft beer in the cooler which is sorely needed in the Keys. And could not pass up getting a t-shirt with their cool eyeball logo. Loses one star because they use styrofoam cups instead of something more biodegradable and eco-friendly. But a great cup of coffee. read more

We had a hard time finding a good local coffee shop in the Key West area. There was so much focus on Cuban coffee which we don't particularly care for. We stopped on here on the way out of Key West and enjoyed it. It is sort of unappealing from the outside and slightly rough on the inside. Nevertheless, it is sort of on the outskirts of town, so there isn't much around. They have a wide selection of items other than coffee. We enjoyed our lattes and the baristas were pleasant. The coffee wasn't too harsh or too weak, also not overly sweet or overly bitter. Just perfect. I'm glad we stopped by. read more

Stopped in on the way to Bahia Honda from Key West. Had a cup of Hemingway's Hair of the Dog and some pastries. The coffee was fantastic -- strong and bold without being bitter, oily or burned. Really nice. I could make it my everyday morning blend. read more
