Early morning travels means you find early morning breakfast as after driving all night you just need sustenance! Coming here was just that as we were like awesome a place that's open at 7am! We jumped on in and ordered some breakfast I went with a Cuban sandwich that had egg cheese and sausage, the sandwich wasn't super good but it wasn't super bad my only issue with it was the sausage as it wasn't very flavorful and just kinda the worst part of the sandwich as the bread, eggs, and cheese were awesome and definitely the better part of the meal so if you do come here for breakfast try something else as you might like it more than I did on that yummy bread! They also have a bunch of cooked goodies like rice pudding and drinks as well as some random goodies you might need for home or a day at the beach so this is definitely worth a stop for that alone! So after we ordered we were waiting for a bit and lots of people came In to order and this was on a weekday so keep that in mind if your gonna come here! Overall I'd come back here again if I was in the area to try another breakfast sandwich as everything but the sausage was awesome so who knows when or if that will happen but it's definitely a possibility so give them a try! read more

I always thought that this was just a grocery store. I had no idea that they serve hot food until today. It's Cuban food at its best. The Cuban coffee is absolutely amazing. They have espresso and a variety of other coffee items. They have breakfast and lunch the sandwiches are absolutely excellent! the entire store and a little outside dining area is completely spotless surrounded by screen so you're not bothered by any bugs. The service was quick food was hot and delicious. Their little store has a variety of Cuban food, including some pastries. That looks like they've been freshly baked. If you're going down the intercoastal and you're looking for somewhere to grab a quick breakfast that's very reasonably priced and delicious. I can highly recommend five brothers. read more

This has the most amazing cuban sandwich EVER! The people are super friendly, and it really helps if you call ahead with your order because this place has dedicated fans, both local and seasonal. They have specials for each day of the week, but not Sundays - in fact, all Cuban restaurants are not open on Sundays, in the Keys. The people at this establishment are incredibly kind, and will get your order ready as fast as possible. Just keep in mind that they are very busy with the locals who are lined up in the parking lot WAY in advance during lunch hour on weekdays. I think they close at 3pm, but open very early for breakfast. Its more like a take-out place, but they have a small outside seating in the back, which is not waitress service or anything like that. After traveling around the United States for many years, working on the road, I have found an almost foolproof way to find a good and reasonable place to eat. Look for a parking lot full of construction vehicles with ladders and wheelbarrows hanging out of the beds of trucks, and you are probably at the right place. This is one of those places. One of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten, that actually has a real piece of meat on it. And the coffee in the morning is excellent. Get a double espresso with one sugar, and be prepared to stay alert for a while. It's only a buck 25 not three to five bucks like the Starbucks experience. Have tried to stop in here as often as I could over the past 5 months, and will continue to do so. read more

I've been here countless times for a variety of things, mostly revolving around their food to go. My parents live near this location so we'll come here for rice and beans to go with our fish for dinner, or cuban sandwiches for lunch. They're delicious! Their coffee drinks are also tasty and super traditional (aka sugary). Having lived in Miami for years, it was nice to have a cuban outlet so close to my parents home in the Keys. The grocery portion of the shop is pretty limited, but standard cuban bodega fair. It has the necessities for convenience - some kitchen items, lots of drinks, lots of snacks. It's a bit like a convenience store with cuban flare. It's perfect to stock up an ice chest or bag for a beach or boat run. The owners are super friendly and like to joke around. The gentleman's english is a bit rocky, but it doesn't matter; his smile and laughs are enough to get you by. BOTTOM LINE: Get a cafe con leche and a cuban mix.
