Perfect location on your way up or down the Florida Keys. I'm a regular here and always find myself ordering the Frozen Mocha. The coffee is very tasty and strong enough to keep you energized through a busy days work or leisurely day on the water. The Cheese Danishes and Bacon Pizza Bagels are delicious and great snack options too. They also have sandwiches and wraps available as well. I have been to Baby's Coffee many times over the years. My experience has always been hit or miss, with the service rarely exceptional. On our way out of the Keys, I wanted to grab a Cuban coffee because it was kind of my tradition when on my monthly run down here. We pulled in and saw that it was a little busy but not overly crowded. I walked in and there were three people in line ahead of me, which is fine. But, when nobody knows what the hell is going on, it takes 15 minutes to serve three people. The staff looked confused and out of it and didn't seem to have any kind of protocols for placing orders. Do we write it down or say it verbally? Who am I supposed to tell? A complete disaster. They used to be famous for the Cuban coffee, but now it isn't even on the menu and the girl taking the order was confused when I requested one. She started talking about milk and frothy stuff. Huh? Its just espresso with some sugar! They ended up making three drinks incorrectly, one of them being a cappuccino. They gave them out for free instead of throwing them away. It was okay but nothing extraordinary. The Cuban coffee was good as well but have had much better in Key Largo and certainly Miami. Not sure if I can recommend this place. It is iconic because it is the Southernmost Coffee Roaster, but not much else going on here. read more

Baby's coffee is in a great location on US1 with lots of parking available. There is a playground behind the shop so you can sip on your hot or iced coffee and watch your kids playing. Staff is always very courteous. Try the chocolate covered espresso beans! read more

Can't say enough good things about Baby's!! The coffee was delicious! The customer service was on point. I asked the counter staff about bike water bottles and they didn't have any....Not that I really expected they would anyways. I was drinking my coffee outside when the owner (I think!!) came out and gave me a big water bottle for my bike. He asked if this is what I was looking for. I said no but he said please take it on the house!! Just make sure you stay hydrated and if it storms anyone from our staff will bring you back to Key West so you're safe. I love this place!! Baby's is located right off of highway one (it almost has its own exit ramp!) and is a great grab-and-go coffee shop. Unlike the archetypical café, there are no comfy lounge chairs or people browsing on their MacBooks--this place is utilitarian in the best way possible. It sounds so cliche to rave about a bagel, but the toasted bagels here are delicious! We stopped in for some coffee (also amazing), and ordered a pizza bagel and a Cuban bagel. They also have a great collection of various bars and snacks, as well as a wide range of novelty snacks and beverages.They roast their own beans and you can buy it by the pound. Baby's coffee is Americas Southernmost Coffee Roaster so I was pretty excited to check it out. They offer a fairly large selection of Coffee for sale but from what I could see most were blends or were labeled as "Dark" or "Light" roasts. On my Visit I grabbed a Cold Brew as well as a Hemingway Roast. The Cold Brew was not Cold Brew more like Iced Coffee. The Hemingway roast had a really odd and off taste. Overall I was not that impressed with the roasting qualities of this Coffee Roaster but its middle of the road for a fix. Not what I would consider quality Coffee Roasting though. read more

It's important to note right off that while this is a coffee shop, it is not your typical urban coffee paradise with cozy loungers, art on the walls, pour-over flasks, or menus featuring coffee tasting notes. This is the Keys, and when it comes to businesses in the island communities other than Key West proper, an expression of functional non-trendy minimalism is often favored. While Baby's does a decent pumpkin chai latte and other such mixed coffee and tea creations, I've come to prefer the straight-up coffee self-served in the dispensers to the left of the register. Nothing fancy, just solid cups of coffee to be had. Baby's seems to do enough business as to turn over the java in the self-serve line with relative quickness. This is imperative, because coffee that has been sitting around too long is the typical downfall of coffee shops that serve their regular old black tar joe in this manner. Don't overlook the packaged coffee cakes sitting by the register. On my last visit to the Keys, I became addicted to these, even purchasing one right before we were going to eat a substantial brunch. Why, there's even a small but decent beer selection in one of the coolers, with well-regarded labels like Bell's and Boulevard on offer. Baby's is the quintessential Keys coffee shop against which all other competitors must be measured. read more

We hit this place up before the long drive back to the MIA a couple weeks ago. I ordered the regular coffee (adventurous huh?) and it was delicious. Hubs had a chocolatey coffee thing, I remember it was cold. Both were great. We also got some snacks for the ride, I bought this vegan double chocolate chip cookie that was HUGE. I would love to say it was the best thing I've ever eaten but all I can say is that it wasn't bad. lol Everything we got was tasty and the prices are very reasonable as well. Its a small shop but there is so much stuff in there that its easy to lose track of time looking around at all the interesting things.
