Rude, crude, and ill-refined. Never have I ever been so gobsmacked by a boulder of dourness as when I entered this performance space-slash-eatery's purlish mew. My night was going swimmingly- Korean tapas, a heej from my roommate's ex, and finding $7 at the foot of the driggs entrance stairs- I was ready to heed the siren call of Bacchus BUT then I penetrated the squeaking doors of Baby's. The excitement exited my soul as the gas from a child baby on carrot supplements. Faces down in phones. The sardonic, gleeless check-in staff seeming as though interacting with humanity was a Sisyphean tsk. The abundance of cackling demands for fireball. I knew I had to excape. And indeed I did. A disappointing night a warm sangria awaited elsewhere. And I was all the better for it. Mankind was not meant to toil. Baby's, we are most certainly not all right. read more

I have no idea how enjoyable this place is as a night club, but as a concert venue it is absolutely atrocious. The capacity is way too high for the size of the venue. A sold out concert will have you constantly being shoved around and knocked over, and it doesn't help that it's a bunch of smug Williamsburg hipsters with no consideration for other human beings. It's tiny, cramped, and uncomfortably sweaty even in the dead of winter. The service is fine and the place is clean and well kept, but they need to drop concert capacity by 50-100 people. Otherwise it's an absolute disaster and impossible to enjoy live music. Do not go unless you absolutely need to see a particular band playing (and even then it will probably be ruined for you). read more

This review is strictly for the dining/dinner/happy-hour experience (not the music venue). I'd say about two years ago (2015) I used to come to Baby's All Right all the time for happy hour. $1 tacos and $3 Pink Baby's ??? Not to mention that both were REALLY GOOD?! Huge steal, especially in Williamsburg. Then one day I came in, the menu was completely changed. Switched over to some sort of Thai/Vegan menu (no more amazing tacos), so I decided not to return. Fast forward to present day, I heard that tacos were back! YES THERE IS A GOOD (so I thought). For happy hour, tacos were now $2 (still not bad) and still $3 pink (and the option of "green") Baby's. Still a huge steal for happy hour. The tacos were NOT like what they once were. I decided to try one of each (Chorizo, Veggie, and Steak....Chicken was sold out) and the only one I found decent was the Chorizo. Now, maybe I'm biased because of my previous experiences but honestly speaking the tacos now are nothing to go crazy over. Mostly pretty bland and not packed with much flavor (EXCEPT the chorizo...that I'd recommend). Atmosphere is pretty loud (especially because of the music venue...and I came on a Wednesday night) but nothing TOO extreme. Our waitress was nice and the place was pretty chill. Three stars because like it or not, happy hour is a good deal and the Pink Baby's are STILL GOOD! But Baby's ...please bring back the old chef (or recipe's) because these new tacos are NOTHING compared to the old ones! read more

Came here for a casual birthday get together, and I'll be honest and admit I wasn't entirely sober by the time we made it here. That said, the waitstaff was pretty good / on top of things, and I was thoroughly impressed at the level of food the kitchen produced, given that this is primarily a music venue (they even have a good chunk of menu items that are vegan friendly! but it IS williamsburg, so, y'know ...) I'd say this should really be more like 3.5 stars, and only shy of 4 because nothing was particularly outstanding, but everything was entirely alright! the soup was delicious, but clearly not enough to sober me up. i went here for brunch, i walked in and was starving, i was seated very quickly, i ordered a pitcher of mimosas, i only spent $30 for it. i am not the biggest fan of eggs, i was surprised by the lack of egg free vegetarian brunch options, i ordered avocado toast & breakfast potatoes, i loved them, i left feeling full. i like the down-to-earth staff, i like the long journey to the bathroom, i like that there is a water fountain. This review is just for the venue. I liked it. The front is a bar, the restaurant side with tables are to the right, and the venue space is the back. So basically, when you go in, you enter the front bar without a ticket, but to enter the venue space you need a ticket. I suppose if a show is sold out, you could just go to the bar and still hear the performance (but don't quote me). The beer selections were meh. $7 for "good" beer (Lagunitas, Heineken, Stella, etc) and $5 for "cheap" beer (Bud, Bud Light, Modelo, High Life). I thought they needed some craft beers or other cheap non-frat boy beer (they didn't have Tecate). The sound was decent. The vocals were a bit muffled at times, but lots of tiny venues like this encounter that problem sometimes. What I really liked about this venue is, if you're short, you can stand at the back and see because the bar is elevated! I hate going to the floor and having tall people in front of me so this was a huge plus!! The neighborhood is relatively safe. About 3 blocks from the Marcy Ave stop (J/M/Z) and next to Peter Lugar Steakhouse, so yeah it's not on the shady side of BK. read more

Went to brunch with a group of 20 this past weekend and had a really good experience. The servers were on top of everything! I was shocked that there wasn't a single mistake made with that many people. The drinks were strong and they kept the pitchers coming which is really all you want with a bottomless brunch. I would definitely recommend this spot for big groups! read more

Haven't made it here for a music event unfortunately, but the brunch is rockin' (get it? rockin'?). We didn't partake in the all you can drink boozy brunch but the food alone was a knock out. How good? I would come to Brooklyn just for the food. Every dish on the menu is stellar - it was really hard to choose between all the options. Our table tried everything from the breakfast sandwich, to the wake and bake, to the chilaquiles, to the french toast. Everything was pretty delicious and very reasonably priced. One of the best french toasts I've had in a while and I was a fun of the simple but unique (cucumber, sriracha aioli) breakfast sandwich. Please note - they don't open until noon!! Made the mistake of "trying to beat the crowd" and came here at 11 and ended up having to go to a different restaurant (the 1st time I tried to come here). 2.5 Stars. I am writing this review for their Thai restaurant "Don Muang Airport". For starters, Why the hell did they name this place after an actual airport? Googling this place was not fun. The food just wasn't good. I ordered the Khao Soi Cowboys which were pulled pork sliders. They had no flavor and the crispy noodles in between just made the sandwich feel dry. However, the fries were amazing but as Thai restaurant it just didn't work. The space itself is nice enough, and the bar has Crispin Ale which bumped this review a half star. This is my first ever Yelp review, and it's not a good one. I arrived to this establishment and see the bouncers yelling at some people for arriving too early. Then I see them, literally, throwing someone out of the establishment. I ignore all of this and still proceed in. I sit at the bar for about 2 hours, paying cash per drink. And then unexpectedly, a bouncer approached me asking me to move to another room because the bartender, who is obviously not experienced, feels 'threatened' by my presence. I ask why, and I'm given no reason by the bouncer. Just a bunch of apologies and excuses about her being new. This is unacceptable! Since when it is threatening to buy and pay for drinks? There's 3 components to Baby's All Right: 1) live music space, 2) restaurant and 3) bars. Pretty cool setup. The restaurant serves tasty Korean inspired foods, definitely not your average "bar" food. You can easily plan to eat well here right before a show. As for the live music space, they do a great job of curating cool up and coming artists. The music space is pretty cramped though, the set up feels very claustrophobic. But if you're okay with being pretty cramped, you're going to have a fun time here! Okayyyy so I went on a Friday night with a friend, hoping to get a little dance sesh in, and the music was MAD creepy. Deep deep house. Soul sucking. I felt like I was being assaulted by the sounds. It hurt. (And I'm a fan of house music!) I've been here for dinner before and the kale salad was beyond amazing, but you guys have GOT to do something about the music lineup. I love the eclectic nature of the lineups and themes, which vary by day so check the calendar (my favorite is the indie dance party on the last Friday of every month, but they also have great bands and hip-hop DJs on other nights.) The space is funky and casual, with enough space large groups to dance or have bottomless brunch, which has become one of my go-to's. The service is always quick and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable, with brunch entrees going between $12-$18. Its also super accessible - just over the Williamsburg Bridge off the Marcy J. Come by Baby's for an all around enjoyable, inclusive - and most importantly, unpretentious - good time! read more

Been here for two shows and both were way overbooked. Sure, concerts are supposed to be packed, that's cool, but this is ridiculous. You can't move and if you want to get out, it's a monumental effort. Also, the 2nd time I came here for a show it was so hot in the venue that everyone was sweating by just standing still. The air was thick and gross and at least 2 people passed out. The band was even complaining about the air and heat. I'm bummed because otherwise this is a seemingly nice place. read more

Had the pleasure of winning tickets to a show at Baby's All Right last week, which made me excited for a couple of reasons...a.) the artist I was seeing and b.) I've always wanted to check this venue out! The concert space is very small and intimate, and the lighting is impressive considering how small the venue is. The sound quality was alright, but there were three different acts, each with different setups and requirements so it was a bit inconsistent. Getting from the stage area to the bar is a bit of a maze, especially when you're navigating through the crowd in the dark and have to go up a series of ramps but the bartenders are friendly and the drinks aren't terribly expensive (not cheap either). I had a good time! I want to come back for sure - both for shows and to check out the bar. read more

This was a pretty cool venue. My partner and I recently saw a show here for NYE, which included complimentary Tito's vodka + rum drinks until 10pm. The idea brought back memories of shady open bars from my college days, but thankfully it ended up being quite an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was spot on. Cozy benches were seated in the front where you could hear the act on stage but still hold a conversation. The bartenders were surprisingly quick to serve despite it being an open bar. I WISH I had known about their restaurant beforehand but I guess it's just an excuse to come out and give it a try. read more

Went to see Fat White Family play here. They were listed on the website, the Twitter account, written on the front door and on dozens of flyers around the venue. The band never played. Some DJ just played terrible bro step and then they closed. That's beyond unacceptable - the advertised bands literally do not play. UPDATE: Babys All Right re-scheduled the show and they actually played the second time plus a 4am encore. It was amazing. It turns out its not a scam - even the band confirmed they were supposed to play. However, they need to TELL THE FANS if the show is cancelled. You can't just let them stand their for hours and then close. read more

No qualms about the drinks or venue layout - the ashtray wall behind the stage is unique and interesting. However, the acoustics were bad and coat check was a disaster. Coat check seemed a little messy initially, but I pay as well as tip ahead of time because it was a busy night and I was trying to be nice. Our coats were placed on a table instead of hung up which wasn't the best, but whatever. Return to get them when it's time to leave and the girl goes 'uh, I have no idea where those are, you gotta find them yourselves.' They were gone from the table and I finally found mine in a pile on the floor, covered in spilled drinks and footprints. Gross, and sure as hell not worth my money. read more

Came to see a friend's band at 8 on a Thursday. Got there early, so I decided to have dinner. The food was really good, not outstanding, but better than it has any right to be. Waitstaff was very nice. But once I stepped into the venue, the situation magically flipped. It wasn't crowded at all, in fact when the show started there were about 5 people there. Thursday's can take a minute to warm up, sure. I ordered a drink, and when the bartender gave it to me I said 'thank you' and she didn't acknowledge me but just ran back to her perch to look at her phone. This happened for the next three drinks. I wasn't being rude or boisterous, in fact I was working hard at being pleasant because I know how tough the service industry can be...but you can't look at me when you hand me the drink? I don't mean to be touchy, but if the place isn't crowded and I order a drink from you, acting like I'm an unwanted distraction is just rude. Especially because the drinks here aren't really cheap, and I'm a good tipper! It really seemed like the door person, bartenders, and coat check were unhappy to be serving me. For all the things this venue does right, this one simple fact will prevent me from going back or playing a show there. read more

I came here for a Friday show, such a cool venue. The space isn't huge but that means everything feels intimate. My group had a bit of food and some drinks first and that was decent as well. I could say that my Miller Lites were too much money but thats the only thing I can even think of to complain about. Will definitely be hoping to get to another show here soon. read more

Pros: The music venue. GO HERE FOR A SHOW!! The last two times I was here were both for concerts -- Black Lips for NYE, and recently the Shannon and the Clams concert in January (the second night of three). There are a variety of musical genres represented at this music venue, and the friend I took to Shannon was extremely impressed -- he had never been before and he loved the energy. Cons: Way too loud for casual conversation at any other time. The bathrooms are kind of gross, and sometimes on crowded nights when there is a concert it is hard to turn around quickly with a drink order from the bar. Also, skip this place for dinner or brunch, because the food isn't anything special, compared with the restaurants all around this neighborhood. And you truly won't be able to hear anyone speaking to you over the dinner table. read more

I forgot to review this place when I writing reviews for all the other bars we hit up the same night we went Baby's All Right. Probably because this was bar 4 of 5, but who's counting? There was a long line when we tried to go here earlier, but was much shorter later in the evening. The place is deceptively big. There's three rooms, including an inside room with music and dancing that requires cover. We opted to stay in the outside rooms. It's crowded, but not annoyingly so, and getting drinks was relatively painless. Fun place to people-watch as well. read more

This joint is a staple in the BK music scene. They program great acts every night of the week and have quickly become an important fixture in the music community. The venue looks & sounds great and draws a great mix of crowds; really displaying its diversity as a music venue. The food is awesome btw. Definitely get in early and snag a bite from their Thai influenced menu. The larb, wings, burger, and fish in a leaf are freaking delicious. Love this place, so much. I go to a lot of shows, and this is probably my favorite music venue in the NYC area. Certainly for 300 or so cap spaces. Great acts, cozy but never oversold, good sightlines, great sound, friendly staff and good customer service with any ticket issues. The food was good the few times I've eaten there before a show, though I wouldn't call it a food destination. There's a fun late-night DJ atmosphere on some nights as well. About the absolute worst thing I can say about this place is that it gets really crowded in the front post-show. read more

The prices weren't totally insane, either, I don't think. But I signed my tab without really paying attention... This is a great room to see a band. I can't speak to the food, though, as I didn't dine on my one visit (first, but not last) and I wish there had been coat hooks along the wall in the main room. Other than that? Delicious food and great nights booked. Good soundsystem and layout. Amazing witchy, nook-y decor/ambiance. Feels like Williamsburg used to feel in '08. Not five stars because there need to be a couple more wines avail that are better-priced. Specifically red. Drinkable reds that can go for $8 or even $7. How about an '09 Delas Côtes du Ventoux? An '09 Doña Paula Los Cardos Cab? Or that ubiquitus (yet universally liked) '08 Navarro Correas private collection Malbec? ALL of those sell for under TWELVE bucks a bottle! So if you price them at $7 during happy hour and $8 otherwise, you'll still be making almost thirty bucks profit off each bottle-- and then there is the 10% discount on cases that most wholesale AND retail distributors now have to give cause everyone else does it. Obviously you will still have the patrons who will want the higher-end stuff as well. in all it is a great place besides that. But I just thought I should mention that I often opt not to meet my friends there/ choose that as a dinner option because of the wine BTG selection. read more

"Yeah BABY!" There is something about this place that I don't get but I like it. It's like 1 part club, 1 part lounge, 1 part restaurant and 1 part dive. Sometimes a person needs to do all four of those things in one night. The place has a very wonderful drink/cocktail menu and you have to try to grapefruit juice slushy beverage. The bartender even allowed me to add gin to the drink because I love gin. The clientele is really mixed and kind of out there, but out there in a good way. One annoyance is that the music is REALLY loud. It's cool to have really loud music on a weekend night but on a Wednesday at 10/11pm. However, it is a little aggressive to have LOUD music (where you have to scream to have a conversation) when there are only all of 10 people in the establish. Speaking of the music, I really liked the music both times (a weekend and a weeknight) that I was at Baby's. The Djs seems to cater the music to the crowd . . . or maybe Baby's all right has specific types of music on the particular day. My second time, the Dj played a lot of 70s and 80s trip hop and house mix of many classics from that era, which just so happens to be my favorite era of music. Came here to see Natural Child and the sound was on point and of course Natural Child are always good! If you dig live music then come here.. I pass by this place on my way to work everyday and I finally came in for a drink last night. The drink was water down and highly overpriced. I thought nothing of it and left, never to come back. This morning I see that the bar posted a picture of my receipt, with a caption of leaving no tip; a tip that wasn't warranted! There was my privacy, my signature and my name, made public without my consent. Definitely come to this bar if that's the type of business you want to give your money to. read more

Went here for Thursday happy hour (5pm-8pm), which was a pretty good window. Was impressed that they had meals for happy hour, but the food was undercooked across the board. Might stop by if I was walking by again to give the food a second chance, but nothing special. Haven't seen a show here, but they have music almost every night. A friend of mine had her bachelorette party here a couple of months ago while I was in NYC. I decided to come over and crash the party since I was in the same city...they invited me over actually lol. Once I showed up, they had a nice long line in the front, but I saw my friends out having a smoke and they told the door guy "hey he's with us" and I waltzed on in. Once inside, I saw they had a band playing...was ok. Very live crowd here and it gets packed to a point you have to squeeze through lots of peeps. Luckily my gals had a table for us to chill and drink so we could converse and have a good time. We met some very interesting characters here to say the least...cool joint! read more

I came here on a Tuesday night to check out a performance with my friend. As a music venue, this place is great. Everything else, the bars and set up is alright. You walk in through the doors and you see the front bar as well as tables for people to eat. walk through to the right, and there's another bar and some more tables. It can be cramped back there since it's very narrow. In the back room is where they have the stage for performances. This room is the biggest with a bar in the back. I had an awesome time during the performance. Afterwards though, they kick everyone out of that room and into the front. I would have rather stayed back there since there's more room and it has such a nice space. I ended up just hanging out and drinking in the front with some friends. Without the performance hall, this place is like any other average bar. read more

I saw Steve Gunn and Kevin Morby play here recently and MAN were those acoustics AMAZING. Seriously this is a beautiful venue. The decor is pretty strange but the walls are paneled with the coolest fabric decoration and it really makes the sound glorious. I'm a huge fan of this venue. The concert was cheap ($15), the drinks plentiful ($5 for a beer)....good stuff all around. The bathroom was the only weird thing--only one door locked properly (someone had terrible skills with making doors which fit...). It also appears to be Asian-themed, randomly. I've been dying to come to Baby's, and I finally trekked out to Williamsburg for a Drake night DJ set. My friends and I arrived about an hour later than was listed on the ticket, and there was still a fairly large line outside. First off, the line to get checked in takes far too long. Once you finally get past the bouncers, you have to wait once again to check in at will call. That was a little lame. Once inside, the venue is pretty great. I for some reason was expecting some hipster, grungy type of venue, but it was fairly well kept. There were 3 big problems with this place, that should be an easy fix. 1. Coat check: Absolute disaster. We waited in line for approximately 20 minutes before the coat check guy informed a line of about 40 people that there was no more space. He probably should have warned beforehand so people didn't waste their time standing around. Also the line moved dreadfully slow....Ultimately, everyone just took the risk of throwing their jacket either under the bar, or on railings. 2. No A/C??? Initially walking into the venue, the bar/restaurant area was fine. The second you walk into the dance floor area, the humidity and heat smacks you in the face. I mean I'm not sure if Baby just tries to stuff as many bodies as possible in a small venue or if they're too cheap to pay for A/C but overall the dance floor area was incredibly uncomfortable. I totally understand why people pass out, it's far too hot if you're drinking and dancing. 3. $20 minimum on credit cards. They don't have this posted on the bar, but this bothered me a little. Obviously they want you to spend more or simply leave a tab open. But if you're like me and wanted just a single drink, it's pretty impossible if you don't have cash on hand. Honestly wasn't my favorite place in the world, but I would be open to coming back. I suggest for anyone that wants to come just to see a show leave your jacket at home, bring cash, and stay hydrated. Side note: I also didn't find the crowd incredibly pretentious or rude hipster wannabe's. Maybe it depends on the type of show you come to see but everyone seemed pretty alright. read more

This venue is not very nice on the inside and the tables, chairs, plates and silverware are all really outdated. The food was pretty good. We had the short rib and grits and the baked eggs which were delicious. Another good spot to get wasted off cheap champagne or vodka. But for value you're not truly getting the best bang for your buck. And no live music during brunch. read more
