The burger sliders were very good! It came with an interesting touch to it, a vile? of aoli? Inserted into the burger. Whatever it was, it was good lol.

My boyfriend was drawn in to BABY BUNS, and was intrigued the PORK JAWNS. With a name like that, they have to live up to the hype to represent our city! First off, they took a bit too long to make. At a food hall like Bourse, I'd like to get my food quickly, and then have a seat, and there was a bit too much waiting IMO. The wait wouldn't have been so bad if the buns blew me away, but they simply didn't. They were underseasoned and underwhelming. The pork was topped with slaw and chipotle mayo, but it didn't do much for me at all. I'd be interested to try their other buns to see if they're any different, but I wouldn't order the pork jawns again.

$16 impossible burger (served vegan!)

The chef/owner is a SUPER nice guy. I just will never spend $16 + tax and tip again on two itty bitty veggie burgers. Yes, they are the hyped up Impossible Burger but come on. How is the fancy truffle burger with Kobe beef at $12 less expensive? Poor guy must be paying retail prices for those impossible burgers.

The raw chicken sliders I was served.

Disappointed, we finally stopped in at the Bourse when this place was open and made the mistake of trying it out. Terrible and expensive, chicken sliders were served raw and beef sliders were severely overcooked. Buns were mediocre and cold. Churros tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Service was slow. Avoid at all costs. Attempted to reach out before writing this review but never received a response.

Sampled the Taiwanese fried chicken thighs: sweet chili sauce, House pickles, chipotle mayo, brioche- AMAZING FLAVORS!!! The venue is decorated so cute too!

I love the entire menu at Baby Buns. Fresh ingredients and great service! After you have the truffle fries there's no way back.

Served me raw burgers - when I brought it to their attention, they agreed with me, but didn't apologize or show they cared.

I'll start by advocating that Village Whiskey lives up to its title of having the best burger in…read morePhilly. I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.

Then, after we waited again for them to take our card, they finally come again took our bill and card, and wait again.... then next they come back a bill with a different amount with no explanation why. We were very disappointed . At this point, we just wanted to leave because of all the waiting. Food is alright not worth with all this bad service. The bathroom is clean. NOT RECOMMENDED with the poor service and confusing bill..

The restaurant has 2 levels and there is an elevator to the second floor. We were seated at a window which was quite nice. We were able to watch the city streets and architecture while enjoying our meal. The service was top notch, they were incredibly fast and attentive. All of the food was fantastic. It's situated right near rittenhouse square so it's a bustling and great area. The spring festival was happening is it was PACKED! We were seated by a window and immediately given water. We ordered some lattes that took quite a while to arrive - we learned they have one coffee machine so things were backed up! Our serve apologized profusely and they gave us a sweet treat on the house at the end of our meal. I ordered the frittata which was delicious and my husband to the omelette . We also got the drop biscuits with strawberry rhubarb jam and omg am good! Our brunch was great and the interior was modern but felt homey and we had the best service and the manager also came to see things were going. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back next time I'm in town!

I'm not sure how accountable this review will be, as I did take out not stayed. They were having happy hour but it didn't count for me as I was take out I guess. I got the mozzarella sticks were bomb with the sauce and I got the creamy Mac and cheese. I was excited for the Mac and cheese because I had one last night that was amazing from somewhere else. I got back to my hotel my second but I found a hair. Like a fatty I threw it to the side and kept eating it anyways. Unlike a true fatty, I didn't finish it. So unholy for a Mac and cheese lover like myself... but it was too acidic for me. I couldn't keep eating it. So I'm basing this review solely on the food. The service seemed ok? They seemed nice, but can't judge that as I did take out.

Last night was my 40th birthday and our original dinner spot didn't have room for us in the end…read more The weather was nice so lots of people were out around Rittenhouse Square, and we felt SOL for dinner plans. On a whim, I called Butcher Bar and told them I know it's last minute on a Saturday night, but could they accommodate 9 people. They told me if we were there in 30 minutes they could make it work, so we rushed over. We sat at the bar for drinks as they cleaned up a table. They overheard us talking about how The Trough would be nice (feeds 8 for $300, but was more than enough for us 9), and said if we wanted that they could get it started as the table was prepared. We said yes, and were sat a few minutes later with drinks in hand. Jenna (Gema? She had grape earrings) was a fantastic server and just so kind and attentive. She kept the drinks flowing and The Trough arrived sooner than I expected and was everything I wanted for dinner and more. I can't thank Butcher Bar enough for saving the night for my 40th and just providing a fantastic experience. We'll be back, and we promise to give more notice next time! :)
