This place is so good!! Stopped here for a quick bite to eat and was not disappointed at all! The beef bulgogi and popcorn chicken rice bowls were so good! Super filling and filled with flavor! Might have to go back a second day in a row just to get some more!

Hotdog & Cheese Crunchdog & Crunchball Beef (would get crunchdog again. The sauce for the balls was really good)

Hotdog + cheese crunch dog + hot Cheetos topping. First off .. great cheese pull! I always forget how filling one of these can be. I like that it was cheese, hot dog, a bit more cheese, then hot dog. Not just cheese then hot dog cause I miss the cheese by the time I'm at the bottom. Crunchball - the sauce that came with it was so good! Dipped some of my hot dog in it. The beef inside the ball was soft, moist, and flavorful. Personally not my type of favor so I wouldn't get it again but I can see others enjoying it. I wanted to also get the kid size popcorn chicken that was on the menu on the wall but not available on the ordering machine. Not sure if they got rid of that. Was a bit confusing.

My coworker and I came here for lunch after hearing a lot of good things about the restaurant. I think the hype was a bit much for what we got. The smallish restaurant with seating for about 25 in the back has you come in and through a small gauntlet to two ordering kiosks. There are menus posted above, but you have to navigate the somewhat difficult menu to place your orders. If you've never been here and have to study what's available, then you're just backing up the line. Eventually, my friend and I chose two teas (honeydew and strawberry, one with boba) and they charge more for little or no ice per drink. For food, I got a fried chicken combo with 3 wings, 3 pot stickers, and noodles. I chose the sweet chili sauce for the wings. My friend chose the chicken tenders without sauce and regular French fries. After paying via credit card only about $31, we sat down and waited. The food came out in a decent amount of time. I should have gone with sauce on the side as the wings were messy. But they were huge and meaty, cooked wonderfully, and I really liked them. The noodles were bland, and the pot stickers overcooked resulting in difficult to chew noodle exteriors. The chicken insides were good. My friend's meal had some of the crunchiest and tastiest French fries she's ever had, and the tenders were also overcooked being very difficult to bite and chew. The coating was ok but not spectacular. The teas were also just ok. I've had better. Maybe I'd like the actual fried chicken pieces better without sauces on them but a basket of the chicken was very expensive. Overall, some positivity and too much negative to give any more than 3 stars today.

The location isn't difficult to find when you're walking and have a map with you. The ordering station is farther back into the restaurant. It was easy to do in the kiosk. We waited for our order to do take our. But there were a handful of tables to sit and dine in. Food was packaged fairly well though our "dog" ended up vertical so the sauce was a little messy when we got back to eat it. We ordered beef hotdog with cheese, crunch ball beef, and small tenders. They ran out of potatoes so we did not get to try this on our hotdog. I enjoyed each item, they were all fried and but fried well. My least favorite was the crunchball. Though it was crunchy on the outside, the texture inside wasn't my favorite--though I did like the kimchee addition. I liked that the hotdog with cheese had cheese throughout, I've had some that would be either or--you'd get a bite of just hotdog or just cheese. And it did produce a pretty good cheese pull. The tenders were also pretty good. There are so many sauce options but we went with Korean bbq.

Went there for lunch today and I got the bulgogi sandwich and a veggies crunch ball. It took awhile for the food to be ready. We waited about 25 minutes. It's all worth it though because the sandwich is delicious. However, I don't really like the crunch ball much, it tasted a bit sour. I think the beef one is probably better, but they didn't have any that day. Inside is kinda small and it can get hot pretty fast, because the kitchen is right there cooking and frying chickens. I recommended call or order online ahead for pick up. Overall is pretty good. Will come back for their Korean fried chicken next time!

FOOD I ordered the regular sweet chili popcorn chicken, and it was about $10-11. It was quite flavorful, and the spice was mild. The food was quick, comfort food, and definitely a good stop for Korean-styled dishes near the Jefferson/Penn areas, but I wouldn't say it amazed. SERVICE I ordered up front and received my order in 20-25 minutes. The staff were friendly as well. AMBIANCE Thre are several tables for seating inside the restaurant-- 2-3 two-seater tables and 2-3 four-seater tables. The interior can be a little gloomy though, but the typical option here is takeout rather than seated dining. PARKING Street parking is available but is very limited. Most guests walk to the restaurant and pick up their orders.

I looooove crunchik'n. If you like Korean fried chicken you will too. I've had their popcorn chicken several times and it's always A+. A large order is plenty for two hungry eaters. This was my first time having the corn dog (with hot cheetos!!) and it was great. I can't say enough great things about this place. I love it.

I ordered delivery from Crunchik'n for National chicken wing day. It did live up to its name. The Korean wings were cooked well with a nice audible crunch. The BBQ sauce on it wasn't the best. I also ordered chicken dumplings, and they were delicious. Don't sleep on those dumplings. They are better than what u will find elsewhere, while you can find better wings. Overall, I was happy I ordered delivery from Crunchik'n.

Wow!!! 5 stars for food, service, and overall happy eating!! I was very pleased with my experience at Crunchik'n and everything was delicious. I personally recommend the fried chicken and the crunchdogs!

I stopped by on the way home from happy hour because I was still hungry. I ended up getting the small popcorn tofu rice bowl and it was very filling. It is a great amount of food, and I imagine the large is almost enough for two meals. The staff were very nice and had helpful recommendations. It is a smaller space but not too crowded so usually does not seem to be a problem.

The food was so so. The best part, the crunch of the chicken. Little pricey so save your coins. If you're in a rush, don't walk in and order, you better call. They make your food fresh so I waited 15-20 minutes. The guy at the cashier was very pleasant and courteous. I would go there again and try a rice bowl so stay tuned !

Got this to go and still tasted amazing - soy garlic and snow flake chicken with crunch balls
    Anna S.

Delicious guilty pleasure! We try to limit ourselves to only get Korean fried chicken once a month because they are so good yet so guilty! There's a KFC place we love up north but crunchik'n turns out to be just as good. Their KFC is more airy than others I've had... which is not a bad thing as it feels more light to eat even though the breading on here is insane. We got the 10 piece chicken with soy garlic and snow cheese (extras $1 or $2 can't remember). I think soy garlic is still my favorite KFC sauce but the snow cheese was a nice change as it's more of a dry rub. We also got the vegetable and beef crunch ball. The beef one was definitely better and more flavorful... the sauce that comes with it is a little spicy. I'm not sure if the one single crunch ball was worth the $4. It was fun to try but I don't think I'd get it again. It's basically cheese, rice, and kimchi or beef mixed into a ball shaped and deep fried. Will be coming here for our future cravings! The only downside about this place is they don't give you the complimentary pickled daikon most Korean fried chicken places give you with your KFC. Also side note: we got this delivered and it still tasted amazing!

    Chicken fingers
    Jane H.

Just okay for me. We got the chicken fingers which were dry white meat. The soy honey sauce was sweet but a bit one-note, could have used some garlic. On the plus side, the outside was crisp and definitely crunchy. The price was a dollar more than listed on the menu.. Service was good. The table next to us had the wings which looked much better. Would try those next time.

I was surprised how much my picky eater family enjoyed the food here! The service is very laid back, but that's ok, the food made up for everything else. The only negative was the bonchon at the start of the meal. I like when they offer more freshness like pickled radish and what not, this was on the heavier side with fried potatoes and something called "fish cake" that I would not recommend. The beef stir fry was a perfect meal, as far as I am concerned, containing my fave veggies (onions, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage). The flavor was spot on! My husband really enjoyed the bulgogi bibimbap; while I liked it too it wasn't one of my favorites and the rice wasn't crispy when we were served, like it usually is. When you are done you pay at the counter. Really "local" vibes and I highly recommend for the food!

Portion size was surprisingly big in a good way. Bulgogi Bimbibap was good but the bulgogi was a bit too saucy/wet for me. It made the rice by that area wet. Would likely not get this again unless it changes. After ordering, the staff brought some complimentary banchan. The potatoes were my favorite! I would come back for the chicken and to try some other things on the menu.

Everything was delicious, from the apps to the dishes, and definitely very healthy portions! Service was pretty good as well, with attentive staff despite there not being a whole lot of them. The food is Korean-inspired with some fusion elements, and all of it was nicely executed. Fried chicken bites were a pretty big hit, and the pork buns were good as well - crispier than usual, but still really good. Toppoki was nice too, and have to say that calling it rice gnocchi is pretty smart to make it easier to understand outside the Asian POV. Kimchi paella was essentially kimchi fried rice, but tasty and filling, and the scrape off parts at the bottom, that's rice gold right there. I don't always eat rice, but when I do, I prefer slightly burnt at the bottom of a stone pot. Second visit, I went with fire chicken, which is tasty and has some kick. I did notice that my not Asian colleague was asked if he was sure about the three fire symbols, but I was not :P Space is pretty nice inside too, a nice combination of old and new; the bathroom was nice and clean, and the general feel inside is casual but elegant. I wouldn't be opposed to returning, but would need to know much more about allergy protocols and awareness, which admittedly isn't always a strong point in Asian cuisine.

We're never great at eating our money's worth, so the pay-as-you-go setup felt like a better fit. We got the favorite set for two, which ended up being plenty. The biggest highlight right away: they grill everything for you. KBBQ is just better when you can sit back and eat instead of managing the grill yourself. They also use a back grill to keep things moving, so there's barely any pause between rounds of meat. It felt really efficient. Also, the place is surprisingly clean and doesn't have that heavy "you're going to smell like smoke for the next 5 hours" vibe, which I really appreciated. Somehow they keep it all under control even with constant grilling. Service-wise, the staff were attentive and clearly working hard, especially since it seemed a bit understaffed. That said, my friend did feel a little uncomfortable at times. There were a few moments where it felt like we were being watched closely, almost like they were worried about a dine-and-dash situation, and we were asked multiple times if we had paid. I personally read it more as things being slightly disorganized with a small team juggling cooking, serving, and payments, but I can see how it might come across differently depending on how you interpret it. Food-wise, the meat was very good, but the banchan really stood out to me. The cabbage salad with a gingery soy dressing was super refreshing and cut through the richness of the meat perfectly. Free refills on banchan are always a win too. I also liked that the grill came with corn cheese, egg, and sprouts, nice extras you don't always get. The corn cheese wasn't as sweet as I expected, and the egg was a bit on the salty side, but still enjoyable. The tilted grill setup was another plus since it lets the grease drain away, so the meal didn't feel overly heavy like some AYCE spots. Overall, it was a really fun experience. A bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and how easy the whole meal felt. Just something to be aware of with the service dynamic depending on how sensitive you are to that kind of thing.

We got the bulgogi hotpot, chicken feet, and seafood pancake. The bulgogi hotpot was packed with tender, marinated beef, fresh vegetables, and a rich, savory broth that came together perfectly. The place feels authentic and they refill your banchan, which is always appreciated. The flavors are slightly less fermented and a bit more geared toward American palates, but still tasty. Since the hotpot is meant for two or more people, it's large and feels like both a meal and a bit of a show. The owner personally helped cut the meat and prepare the hotpot at the table, which was very hands-on and excellent service. It's located on the second floor, so it can be a bit tricky to find, but don't just walk past it. I also had a couple of the pomegranate soju drinks which I enjoyed; similar in taste to a vodka cranberry.

The seasoning, Banchan options, and soju were just what the doctor ordered! The staff is Korean and even though we communicated through limited English, they were so friendly and excited for us to enjoy the food! Definitely recommend! We stood at the "please wait to be seated" sign for over 10-15 minutes without being acknowledged. We tried to be patient since we saw the hostess juggling multiple tasks at once. Multiple couples arrived after us and were seated first. Emphasis on they were in line AFTER us. When a waiter finally showed up, he started seating people that were last/behind us without asking for names for reservations. Who starts from the back??? Even after telling that waiter we had a reservation and were there first, he looked at us like he felt guilty. Very poor organization and guest management. Disappointing from the moment we walked in. I was excited to try the food at this place but will never show up again after what was experienced.

Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly quiet. We went specifically hoping for yukhoe…read morebecause we saw it on a photo outside and yes, they do have it. It just is not on the printed menu. Very cool, but also slightly chaotic. If you speak Korean, there is basically an unlocked menu situation. Same with tteokbokki. Not listed, but available. Love that for the insiders. The only downside is you do not really know all the prices ahead of time, and things ended up being a little higher than expected. It is right next to H Mart though, so prime real estate. The yukhoe came out still a tiny bit frozen in the center, but the seasoning was great. Nicely balanced sesame oil, garlic, a little sweetness. They mix it for you at the table which is a nice touch. We were mid mixing and they tried to take our picture which caught us off guard, but honestly it is a fair trade for how attentive and kind they were. Seafood tofu pot was a bit underwhelming protein wise. One shrimp and maybe two squid rings. Not exactly seafood heavy. That said, the broth itself had good depth and the tofu was silky and comforting. Service was warm and attentive the whole time. The space is super picturesque. Small booths with grills built into the tables, wooden frames, very traditional KBBQ vibes. Cozy and cute without feeling cramped. Overall, good experience. Just a little pricey and I wish everything was clearly listed on the menu. But vibes and service are definitely there.
