Don't bother looking up another lash artist or reading another review. Jenny is hands down, by far…read morethe most amazing lash technician in the world. Do yourself a favor and book your appointment. Before Jenny, I had gone to about 7 different lash technicians. All the nightmares you read about, I experienced. Significant natural lash damage/loss. Reactions to poor quality glue or lashes being glued directly to the eyelid. Painful fills. The works. I had almost given up on getting lash extensions. It just wasn't worth it anymore. I never got the look I wanted and they never lasted more than a week at a time. It took months for my lashes to grow back after I finally had them removed and they were so weak and brittle, I couldn't even really wear mascara. So I did exactly what you're doing now. Read through hundreds of reviews for hundreds of businesses. Somehow, I landed on Jenny. I was extremely anxious when I went in. I had lash PTSD! Within five minutes into the appointment, I was completely at ease. She is so knowledgeable, its crazy. She was able to explain how lashing works, what causes it to be painful or irritating, how to avoid damaging your natural lashes, etc. My lashes came out wonderfully and I have been a faithful client ever since. That was over 2 years ago now. My natural lashes are still growing, healthy and strong. She always gives me exactly the look I'm going for and gives me tips and tricks for keeping my lashes clean. She's honest and will let you know if your lashes need a break or if you need to start taking biotin. Not to mention, she's a total doll. I look forward to my appointments - they've become my own little therapy sessions. I've recommended tons of friends to her and they all feel the exact same way. She's doing micro-blading and micro-shading now too, which I got done and turned out amazing! You'd be lucky to have her as your lash artist. I know I am!

I went in for short black Gel-X nails. While the nail tech was patient and put in effort, the overall result wasn't what I expected. I do appreciate the tech's effort, but I expected better quality based on the reviews.

I am currently training for a half marathon which means a lot of long distance running. I would rather get my toes professionally trimmed to prevent any ingrown toenails. First off, the receptionist was not very welcoming and had an RBF that just made me feel like she did not want to help me I was directed to nail tech Van who greeted me very warmly. I communicated to her my current nail health and asked for her advice on how to proceed, she was very helpful and suggested gel x to help my nails grow a bit straighter. When discussing my desired nail shape, I chose coffin shape. Van proceeded to fit the gel x on my nails. After applying the gel x, it was too tight and was squeezing my nails bed (too small). She insisted that "skinnier is better" and that the gel x was already shaped as coffin so I should just keep it. But honestly, it felt and looked unnatural on my finger. After arguing with her for a good 5 minutes, she agreed to change the size to something more comfortable. Once the right sized nail was fitted and cured onto my nails, Van then asked what shape I wanted. I told her coffin shape. She then proceeded to shape my nail but it still looked square. I then asked her to shape it more like coffin and even showed her pictures of my desired shape. She then gave me a huge *sigh*, complained and said "this is why I told you to keep the other shape, it was coffin". I then reminded her that the nail was too tight, but I still wanted her to give me the coffin shape. Honestly, it just seemed like she was lazy and didn't want to do it. She then shaped my nails a bit better but it was still square. I didn't even want to argue with her anymore and just wanted to get out of there ASAP, so I just kept it as is. During the nail design, I asked for a halloween themed nail design and she actually delivered. She struggled a bit, but I was decently pleased with how it turned out. Van then proceeded to complain to her other coworkers about my grievances with the shape. The RBF receptionist rung me up and my total was $85. I tipped because the service was delivered. But customer service was terrible, and because of that, I will not be returning. Do better! 2 Stars for Van's warm greeting, service being delivered, and design executed. -3 stars for receptionist bad customer service and Van's bad attitude during service If you hate your job, then don't work there lol

Good experience, accommodating staff, and cute salon!…read more Overall, I had a good experience at Ultimate Nail Bar! I came in for a Gel-X set and a pedicure, and although I was pretty indecisive about what I wanted, the staff were patient, accommodating, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. I usually stick to my signature Bubble Bath shade and neutral colors, but I wanted to try something a little more fun for fall. Since I haven't worn color on my nails in a long time, I was all over the place trying to figure out what I wanted. We tried on a few shades, and when none of them felt right, they brought out multiple color books and design options for me to look through. I really appreciated that! They didn't make me feel rushed or like I was being difficult, and they offered their personal recommendations to help me decide. I ultimately went with a neutral shade and a little sparkle overlay. Looking back, I probably would have skipped the sparkle, but that's entirely on me because I was indecisive and should have trusted my instincts! The nail tech did a good job, and my nails still look nice. My only personal preference is that I like a slightly wider nail shape, as I felt mine were filed a little narrower than I usually wear. The service moved pretty quickly, so I didn't speak up about it in the moment, but that's something I'll communicate next time. I also appreciated the first-time customer promotion, which took $10 off each service. The pricing was reasonable compared with other salons in the area, although some add-ons can definitely increase the total. For my pedicure, I opted for regular polish instead of gel after discussing the additional cost of repairing a broken toenail. I was initially confused about why the repair would require gel polish, but the staff explained their reasoning, and they were understanding when I decided to keep things simple. I hadn't gotten regular polish on my toes in years, but sometimes you have to make the practical choice! The salon itself is clean, cute, and thoughtfully designed. I love the minimal aesthetic with just enough feminine touches to make it feel inviting. All in all, I think they do good work, the staff are accommodating, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Would I return? Absolutely. I'll just come in with a clearer idea of what I want and communicate my nail shape preferences upfront next time. Definitely worth considering if you're looking for a cute, clean nail salon in the area!
