    Creamy Garlic Pasta-
    Heidi A.

I felt like the service was lacking since the server did forget our order. But other than that, everything was good. I loved my creamy garlic pasta and the complimentary bread. Most of my friends got the meatball and spaghetti because it is the Tuesday special and it was very affordable. I don't care for tomato based so I decided to get something else but that deal is definitely a steal!! Nice ambiance, the outside patio was beautiful.

Excellent service and delicious food. They had $8.99 spaghetti meatball special happening today and many tables had multiple orders of them. We opted for margarita pizza and pasta pomodoro. Both came out hot and delicious. It's our second time to this location and we will be back. Highly recommend!!

Gnocchi Trio- Babbo's Bowl O' Bolognese- Italian Sausage-

Bread is always fresh, warm, and amazing paired with the oil and vinegar dip. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are fantastic, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Definitely one of my favorite spots for Italian food.

Their pepperoni and sausage pizza is outstanding; simple and flavorful.

Went to newly renovated Babbo at 67th Ave and Beardsley. A very much needed expansion and update to a great neighborhood restaurant. We sat at the bar and had great service from Tyler who genuinely enjoys his work. Had the 11inch pizza w sausage and pepperoni. So good as usual.

This place is absolutely amazing. I love the food. The service was great and my tummy is extremely full. I would definitely suggest this place to anybody who is looking for good Italian food. This is a 10 star if I could and the ambience is very relaxing.

This is a review specifically for our salad pickup experience from here. We ordered a brussels sprout salad, Caesar salad, and salmon mixed greens salad. I absolutely loved the brussels sprout salad because of its crunch and the perfect flavor combination with goat cheese. The sides of bread with a mixed balsamic and oil for dipping were ideal. Portions are bigger than it seems from the container. I ate about half of my salad and finished the rest later that day! Ordering online was seamless. Everything was ready on time. The restaurant was about a third full for dinner when we arrived. Service was polite and pleasant!

The decor is a bit dark, but chic & colorful. Our server, Esmerelda, was fantastic: funny, attentive, polite. There was a guy there who seemed to be the Jack of all trades. He brought us our food, I saw him behind the bar, and even bussing tables. He, too, was friendly & smiley. Cocktails: they had a great selection but we went with plain ol' Cokes. That's okay, we'll partake of their boozy drinks when we visit again. Food: parmesan truffle fries were aah-mazing. I even told Esmerelda they should add a pizza with the garlic aioli. The buffalo mozzarella had a bit of a kick to the sauce; we could have used more toasted bread to dip into it. We ordered the heaven and bianca pizzas. The crust was thinner than normal, which I was happy about, and the flavors of both were delicious. Dessert: despite not finishing the appetizers & pizza (no worries, we thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers!), we opted for a gelato flight. It was divine, and hefty samples. You wouldn't think 4 oz was much, but of gelato, it was plenty. We selected chocolate, strawberry, salted caramel, and mango. If you haven't tried Roma 23, I highly recommend it. Even if you don't live close by, it is worth the drive.

Fads like chili on everything only serve one purpose, to demolish traditional recipes to align with the now predominant "heat" in everything! We came to celebrate a birthday and have a nice dinner: mission accomplished! Started the evening with cocktails and S.pellegrino water as always. The "Knucklehead" cocktail is bourbon based with bitters and pear liqueur; I had to try the "I'll Guav Another" and Yes, I had another, it's very more-ish :) The service was excellent and our server was on point with descriptions of dishes and the continued service. The ambiance was very similar to restaurants back in Milano, noisy because people were chatting and having a good time. Thankfully there were no sports TV's close by making for a very pleasant evening out. I had the pasta alle vongole (clams) that was very tasty; I would have liked a bit less oil and fresh parsley on top, but I honestly ate the whole thing and even mopped up the lemon and white wine sauce with the crusty bread they served. We call it "fare la scarpetta" in Italian. The other diners had a chicken dish that looked good too but I didn't taste them, was too engulfed in my pasta... We had a really good meal, the company was great, and we left well sated. Will be back when on their side of town !

It came with grilled ciabatta, arugula, shaved red onion, and a Calabrian vinaigrette. The burrata was incredibly creamy and paired perfectly with the tomatoes, while the crunchy ciabatta added a wonderful contrast in texture. My husband chose the Sicilian meatballs, which were served over creamy polenta with rustic marinara and grana padano, also a very solid dish. For our entrees, we had the hot honey & smoked prosciutto pizza and the strozzapreti, a pasta dish with herb-roasted chicken, mushroom, spinach, parmesan cream, truffle, and pine nuts). Both were fantastic! The pizza nailed that sweet and savory flavor profile, and the crust was absolutely perfect. The strozzapreti was also delicious -- rich, creamy, and packed with mushroom and truffle flavor. Last time we visited the North Italia Phoenix location, the pasta was a bit too soft and lacked that proper al dente bite, but this time it was cooked flawlessly. Unfortunately, the desserts were a letdown. We tried the hazelnut torta and the tiramisu, but both were overwhelmingly sweet. The tiramisu tasted soggy, like it had been sitting in the fridge for a long time instead of being freshly made, and the chocolate balls on top felt unnecessary and cheapened the dish. The service was also a bit of a mixed bag. Somehow our desserts were brought out before we had even finished our entrees. As a result, the ice cream on top of the hazelnut torta just sat there melting by the time we were ready for it. It made the end of the meal feel rushed, like they were trying to turn the table over quickly.

The original owners were amazing and this was an authentic mom and pop Italian restaurant . Had the homemade dishes , family owned restaurant vibe. The interior has beautiful hand painted murals with Italian scenes and gorgeous landscapes. Faux painted old brick walls make this an absolute great overall experience. The food has and still is delicious. The taste is definitely homemade and probably handed down authentic recipes. And the prices are still very reasonable. I came back hoping to give it another chance, but unfortunately, this visit confirmed that things haven't improved. I ordered pizza and wings, and I left concerned about the quality. It's truly disappointing to see a once-great restaurant fall to this level.
