Their mirror up front is so cute!

This is such a special coffee place, and you can feel it as soon as you walk in the door. Everything about Baba's felt homey, ancestral, and full of love. On top of that, the drinks are wonderful. I can't wait to go back. My best friend and I stopped by midday for a post-lunch treat, found easy parking in the large lot, and ordered three drinks between us: the peach blossom iced tea (so light and refreshing), the fig matcha (a customer favorite and I can totally see why, as it was creamy and unique), and the knafeh latte (the cheese foam with the knafeh crumbles were unlike any latte topping we've seen!). All three were distinct and delicious. Pricing was average; my two drinks were $15, which is what two specialty coffee shop beverages will run you nowadays, so it didn't seem exorbitant compared to, say, what two drinks would cost you at a Starbucks (booooo). The baristas were efficient and easygoing, even when the line got long. There was lots of seating in different spaces throughout, plus a large TV that had the World Cup game of the day on at the time. We'd been meaning to try this place since my bestie is Palestinian, and she called it a 10/10 experience. I concur! Five stars isn't enough.

I have been seeing Baba's Coffee Corner all over my social media and I knew I had to go check it out and support a Palestinian and women owned coffee shop. I went on a Thursday around 10am to do some work. I was able to find a seat and stayed there till 1ish working. Everything on the menu looked great but I went with their love island inspired drink - heart pancake latte! I also ordered an everything bagel with Za'atar cream cheese to try it out. One of the baristas was so nice and told me if I didn't like the za'atar (which is Palestinian spices they add to the bagel), she would make me another one. I liked it, not sure if I would get it again but I'm glad I tried it! My drink was good! It was the right amount of sweet and espresso. I want to come back to the rest of their drinks, especially the matcha. The France and Morocco game was playing later that morning and it got packed! There was great community and it was just so lively. I have to shout out the staff, they were so kind. I really loved coming to do work here and will definitely be back. Can't wait to take people here!

What a cute spot! From the outside it looks like your average coffee spot but when you walk in you are greeted with beautiful decor that helps create the atmosphere. The spot was packed with people, lively chatter, exactly the type of environment that makes you want to stay for a while. There's a good amount of seating and you can choose from tables, a bar top, or even a couch/lounge chairs. I ordered a matcha americano which was solid, it had a nice strong flavor which indicates a lot of matcha was used which is always appreciated in my book. I also tried their vanilla cardamom matcha which was really delicious! I am a huge cardamom fan and despite me getting less sweetener the cardamom flavor still came through nicely. The only thing I wish was for the cold foam to have more of a cardamom flavor, I was only able to taste vanilla in that but I was still happy with the drink as a whole. Each matcha will cost you about $8.50 which is a decent price given the size and that they don't overdo it on the ice. If you're in the area I would highly recommend!

Stopped in here midweek around 10am because my daughter was with me and she has been wanting to check this place out. The business is tucked in the back but fairly easy to find. Plenty of available parking. There are tables and chairs available outside. The inside was very spacious with tables and chairs of all sizes and I believe there were a few benches/couches too. They offer their standard menu but also have some fun seasonal drinks. There were a few people in line ahead of us but the line moved quickly. Our order was placed with ease and we didn't have to wait long to receive our drinks. I ordered the S'mores latte and my daughter got the cinnamon honey latte. Both were the perfect amount of coffee and sweetness with the flavor profiles accurately portrayed. I look forward to going back and trying different drinks. What was fun to observe at this coffee spot was all of the familiar faces that the baristas saw walking through the door. A true sense of community. My daughter was also telling me that they have hosted game nights too.

Came here on a weekday afternoon to catch up with a friend and really loved the vibe here! There's lots of parking, which made it super easy to visit. It's a Middle Eastern culture inspired cafe with such cute decor that makes the space feel cozy, warm, and homey. They also had really cute merch! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My friend and I both got the fig matcha with oat milk and it was sooo good! It was a little on the sweeter side at first, but once the ice melted a bit it tasted perfect :) Definitely coming back to try the Knafeh latte and the vanilla cardamom matcha!

I've been in the mood lately to support MENA (Middle East North African) coffee shops so when this opened up I had to check it out! Located in a strip mall, parking was easy. Baba's Coffee Corner is literally in the corner of the strip mall. As you walk in, you're automatically transported to Palestine. There's olive trees all over, kafeyas and old school newspaper clippings all over the wall. I absolutely loved it! Now let me tell you I wanted to try all of the drinks!. I got the cinnamon honey latte. It tasted so good! The espresso was there as well as the sweetness of the honey and cinnamon. They even topped it with a cold foam with cinnamon powder and pistachioes. They also had knafeh lattes as well as a vanilla cardamom latte. I love the vibe over here. They even have community events. I will be back for sure.

OMG... i've been looking for a new coffee shop and i've finally found it! baba's coffee corner is the best new coffee shop in orange county! the ladies behind the counter (women owned business!) are so sweet and make the most phenomenal drinks. i have experience as a barista so as i was watching the baristas behind the counter on the marzocco machine i could see the shots were pulling perfectly and everything looks up to standard. my friend got the seasonal s'mores latte, great rich coffee taste and light airy marshmallow cold foam. i got the vanilla cardamom matcha and it was amazing! the matcha truly tasted like green tea and not bitter or too grassy. the atmosphere was great too. a nice spacious shop with beautiful middle-eastern inspired decor. i cannot wait to come back!

This new Palestinian, woman-owned coffee shop is 10/10! We met the owner and she is vibrant and passionate about her coffee. We came in to try the knafeh latte, Baba's latte, and fig matcha. All incredible options. The vibes here are very chill. The knafeh offers a delicious crunch, and the latte is milky and not too caffeine forward. Baba's latte tastes like a classic. The fig matcha here allows you to taste the fig! I've had it elsewhere where you would not know there was fig in it. They also sell merchandise here like hats and playing cards. Some hats say, "baba", which means "dad". Some hats say, "bint baba", which means daughter of (my) father. This coffee shop is run by bint baba :). The price leans a little more on the pricier side for coffee (roughly $7-9) but I'm happy to support a local business. You can sign up using your phone number for rewards as well. I'm excited to go back!

First i want to start that the 3 stars is simply due to the taste of the drinks and I want to acknowledge that the service, staff, and interior were AMAZING. They itself deserve 5/5 stars and they were super friendly throughout the entire process. The reason for the lower rating on the drinks, is because we felt like the drinks tasted almost too milky? I want to acknowledge that we did order lattes, so naturally it will be majority milk, that's a given. But as someone who drinks coffee at an unhealthy rate, I can tell when the ratio of milk to espresso is uneven. For both of us the drink was too milky and honestly we didn't enjoy the knafeh topping because it just didn't go well with the drink. It was also super expensive (almost $10 for the knafeh drink) which i think is on the highest end of coffee price range in OC. Most likely we won't be back but we're glad we tried it anyways. HOWEVER, please don't allow my review to discourage you from trying this place! The drinks were not to my flavor profile but it may be to other people's and they will enjoy it more. As I said the staff were super friendly and let me bring my doggo in which is always a plus!

It was our first time visiting Baba's Coffee Corner and we asked the baristas their recommendations for coffee & matcha. They chose Knafeh Latte & Fig Matcha and both drinks were delish! They have plenty of seating inside and a variety drinks to choose from. We would definitely come back to more things. Thank you!

The most beautiful coffee shop I've ever walked into. Great parking, huge space and lots of seating. You can feel the design was made with love. Sophia (I hope it was her, that's the name on my drink order, but the girl with beautiful curly hair) was an absolute delight. She is gorgeous and is able to hold a conversation so well. Loved chatting with her while my drink was being made. Got the Honey Cinnamon Latte, I got it without walnuts because that's not my thing personally but it is a beautifully made latte that tasted amazing. I only come to OC once a month now but I will happily return here.

Before I get into the coffee and food, i just want to HEAVILY appreciate the atmosphere of the coffee shop.. wow wow wow. There's so much to not only look at but to take in. So much attention to detail.. the dining area was full of community engagement. That definitely shows in there drinks and food, very intentional. I got the knafeh latte and the baba special- both were great but knafeh just had that little crunch that made it my favorite! The food? I got the za'atar cream cheese bagel.. chef's kiss! I must mention Sophia's service because she had a great attitude throughout the rushes, very accommodating and sweet. I wish there was one in Long Beach to be so honest.. but I'll drive out there any day :) Side Note: the bagels and foods will be ready on the left side of the bar and the coffee on the right side!

Shoutout to Yelp for recommending Baba's to me this morning, I'm so glad I came across this place! Baba's is located in the corner of this plaza off Katella, they have plenty of parking available nearby (most of the cars in the lot today were parked for Baba's which is saying something). They have a few outdoor tables and a bunch of indoor seating, with a really cool decor inside (loved the simplicity of it all while feeling authentic). The line was out the door the entire time we were there, which was so awesome to see. Service was fantastic across the board, especially with how many people were in line (the staff was communicative and apologized for the wait and made sure every customer was satisfied). This was definitely one of those times I felt like it was worth the small wait. I tried a bunch of drinks, so here's my thoughts on each: * Strawberry Matcha (iced w/ oat milk): loved this, the strawberry was fresh and the sweet cream was a nice addition. * Fig Matcha (iced w/ oat milk, half sweet): really liked this too, I think half sweet is the way to go. The fig was a great compliment to the matcha. * Knafeh Latte (iced w/ oat milk, half sweet): This was good, the cream on top was rich and flavorful. If you like Knafeh you'll like this. * Vanilla Cardamom Latte (iced w/ oat milk): My favorite drink (I am a sucker for cardamom drinks), it was super flavorful and the cream was rich and really made the drink stand out. I also tried their chocolate chip cookie and everything bagel with za'atar cream cheese; both were good but the drinks are really the star here. I can totally see why the line was out the door at this place, it absolutely deserves all attention it's getting. They just opened a month ago so be patient while they work through the growing pains, but I definitely recommend checking it out. There aren't many good coffee spots in this area, so Baba's is a welcome addition to this side of town.

Rekindle was at the Taste of Orange this year and I enjoyed one of the Italian sandwich samples they were handing out. It was fantastic! We met the owner - she was very charismatic and charming. Today we stopped by to grab an Italian sandwich, and I just cannot believe they served me bread that was so old and dry - it would have been perfect for croutons, but definitely nothing like what we had at the Taste of Orange. The bread was so dry I had to dress it up with some olive relish to eat it - I don't expect when I pay $31 for a sandwich and chai iced tea latte to get home and have to start working on my sandwich. I accept some responsibility for this, because honestly, who goes to a coffee shop for a sandwich.
