The cinnamon honey latte is my favorite ...I mean a cinnamon cold foam!? I ordered a second one immediately. My cousin loved her strawberry cream matcha. Employees are always very friendly and the coffee shop has many tables to study at, overall great atmosphere. And of course, we love and support a Palestinian owned business
The inside is so cute and have a mixture of modern and intentionality to it. There were tables and chairs inside and it felt really nice on a hot day. I got the fig matcha -- it's my first time coming to the cafe, but my third time trying the fig matcha. I will say that they are not consistent in creating their drinks. This time around, it was a lot sweeter and I couldn't taste the matcha. Banana bread matcha latte is part of the seasonal menu. I wish it had more of the banana and matcha flavor. It was more cinnamon-y and the chunks of banana bread does not go well with the matcha... I am interested in their other matcha drinks that looks really good! So I may have to come back and give them another try!
If I lived in Orange, I could see myself as a "regular" at this spot Can't beat the free parking lot The indoor concept has a characteristic spacious feel Honors that meet-up or work appeal Honey cinnamon (no adjustment) and fig matcha (half sweet) lattes easily rated 8-9 out of 10 Concluded, would order again Perfect drinks to sip, approaching fall Kind and attentive service overall Recommend Baba's Coffee Corner, I would To try something new every now and then, good xoxo-Op
Clean, aesthetic, plenty of parking. The service was warm and friendly. Plenty of space inside and outside, many options, with a great variety. I ordered the cinnamon honey latte, nonfat, half sweet. It was perfect. I can't wait to come back and try the other offerings soon!
I wish I can give this spot more than 5 stars, their customer service is top tier!! My group and I were greeted upon entering and the lady who helped us out being it was our first time took her time explaining the drinks to us in detail. We all ordered different drinks and in short can say we all enjoyed our drinks. I ordered the Knafeh latte and it was so flavorful but well balanced! They have plenty of seating, great decorations/aesthetic! Also, lots of parking since it is located in a shopping center. I have recommended this spot to so many people and can't wait to return and try other drinks!!
Have been waiting for a middle eastern coffee shop to open up in north OC & Baba's did not disappoint! Bright interior and plenty of seating for studying. Got a fig matcha & a knafe latte. Fig matcha was super creamy and no grainy matcha which is a must. Came with a cute little dried fig. Definitely get 100% or 75% sweet since i couldn't taste much fig at 50% sweet. Knafe came with kataifi on top of the cold foam which we loved. Also wish we opted for more sweetness for more knafe flavor.
10/10 presentation, the drinks came out looking beautiful! We ordered the fig matcha & knafeh latte. The matcha was a bit too light & milky for my taste, but the knafeh latte was a good treat if you like sweeter coffee drinks! Super unique flavor with fun knafeh crunch toppings.
Vibe: Baba's Coffee corner is a spacious coffee spot located at the inner corner of a plaza. There's an outdoor patio section in front of it, with a very spacious indoor section as well. The AC was wonderful especially in the summer heat, and the interior was nicely decorated. You could definitely tell they care and put effort into the ambiance for the place! Food & Drinks: I got a Fig Matcha and it was amazing. Presentation was amazing, and the flavor was great. I love the variety and relatively unique flavors that their menu had to offer compared to other coffee shops Work-Friendliness: I like to work remotely, and this spot had what just I needed: wi-fi, outlets, AC, and tables. There was plenty of seating with a bar area facing the glass walls where you can see out into the outdoor patio and parking lot, two-person seating tables, couches, and even big table in the middle of the shop. There's no outlets by the big table in the middle of the shop, so take that into consideration if you need a lot of space for your work (e.g., lots of stuyd notes, etc.) Getting There: I believe there's a bus stop nearby, but if you do decide to travel by car, the parking lot adjacent to it is plenty spacious with a moderate amount of shade so customers shouldn't have trouble finding a nice parking spot at all. Service: Amazing customer service! The staff are friendly, and they're naturally conversational without feeling like they're being forced by management to chat to customers. They're really kind and helpful and accommodating to any adjustments. I'm not a chatty person, but I still appreciated the quick and casual conversation that I had with the staff. The drink I got came pretty fast. I also saw a customer mistakenly grab and go with someone else's drink, and the staff were very accommodating and chill with remaking the drink.
New palestinian coffee shop in OC, inspired by yala coffee! Cool interior with abundant seating & parking, so also a perfect study spot with low weekday traffic. If you had to choose only one drink, I'd highly recommend the fig matcha. An absolute favorite, so smooth & matcha forward!! Even with the ice melted, it still tasted strong. The vanilla cardamom matcha had a grainy aftertaste that took getting used to. Not sure if the matcha powder was the same as the base of the fig matcha...On the other hand, I fell in love with their cream top. Like a vanilla ice cream in my mouth! Their payment system was down that day, so they accidentally made my order twice and I got an extra free drink. Super sweet staff & good vibes! Definitely a hidden gem :-)
Kind of hidden on the right side of the plaza. It's a neat place and definitely not an unknown place with the amount of customers they have. There's a fig matcha that sounded interesting, but I opted for their knafeh latte, which is probably their most popular drink. it's a latte that's sweetened and topped with a cream and kataifi bits, which is nice to add some crunch to eat. If you let it sit or mix it in, it does get soggy after time. Lots of people come to work here.
The first thing that stood out to me upon entering was the comfortable energy. Plenty of space to wait for your drink without feeling like you're awkwardly standing near other guests, or invading personal space. I feel most coffee shops struggle with this, but Babas has curated a perfect welcoming environment. Their coffee is good! They don't have unnecessary bells or whistles to dress up your drink. The flavor is pleasant and enjoyable. We definitely plan on returning to try more!
This coffee shop is top tier! The ladies tending to customers were extremely friendly and helpful. Such a great place to work, catch up with friends, relax with the family etc. Shop showcases and celebrates Middle Eastern culture which I love! My lady and I ordered 2 Knafeh Lattes, they were super delicious! We will definitely be coming back when in the area! Thank you to the owner for opening a coffee spot that celebrates the culture!
This is such a special coffee place, and you can feel it as soon as you walk in the door. Everything about Baba's felt homey, ancestral, and full of love. On top of that, the drinks are wonderful. I can't wait to go back. My best friend and I stopped by midday for a post-lunch treat, found easy parking in the large lot, and ordered three drinks between us: the peach blossom iced tea (so light and refreshing), the fig matcha (a customer favorite and I can totally see why, as it was creamy and unique), and the knafeh latte (the cheese foam with the knafeh crumbles were unlike any latte topping we've seen!). All three were distinct and delicious. Pricing was average; my two drinks were $15, which is what two specialty coffee shop beverages will run you nowadays, so it didn't seem exorbitant compared to, say, what two drinks would cost you at a Starbucks (booooo). The baristas were efficient and easygoing, even when the line got long. There was lots of seating in different spaces throughout, plus a large TV that had the World Cup game of the day on at the time. We'd been meaning to try this place since my bestie is Palestinian, and she called it a 10/10 experience. I concur! Five stars isn't enough.

I saw recommendations to try this place and was excited to try a middle eastern coffee spot, as there isn't much of that in OC to my knowledge. The shop is clean and roomy, with plenty of seats and tables for people to work or hang out at. The girl that helped me with my order was very friendly and patient as I perused the menu for the first time. I ended up ordering one of their summer seasonal beverages, the S'mores Bil Leyl. It was a delicious concoction of chocolate, marshmallow, and fruity sweetness. Would definitely recommend. I would love to come back and show this spot to my cafe connoisseur friends! read more

Came here on a weekend. Parking lot is pretty spacious so finding a spot was not too hard. It was BUSY. The workers were very friendly and did a good job explaining what the drinks were / their recommendations. It was a little bit of a wait for the drink, so that's the only "complaint" J have, but it definitely would not stop me from going back. The knaffeh latte was amazing and I loved the foam and that they added the crunchy bits on top. Happy to have another great coffee spot in OC!! read more

Johnathan, thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We’re so glad…
I love how close this shop is to me, it was very well decorated and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My friend and I ordered the fig matcha with oat milk and an everything bagel with za'atar cream cheese. The bagel was very flavorful. The fig matcha was too sweet for me but I would get it again half sweet, same with the knafeh latte. I say find the right sweetness that works for you, this place is definitely worth a try if youre in the area! read more

It's so refreshing to see a community based coffee shop thankful for local customers and passionate about what they do. Family friend atmosphere, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a menu full of flavors! Everything is made to order, but comes out quick. Drinks had a great flavor and not too sweet! Bagels were toasted and seasoned well. Glad to see this place busy and can't wait to come back to try new drinks. read more

I was looking for a solid coffee shop and being local around the area in that moment, yelp led me here. My typical order is usual a Cortado & a chocolate chip cookie. Thankfully, though they don't have cortados on the menu, they were able to make me one with no problem. Service was great. The Young lady who attended me very kind. As I waited for my order to be ready, I glanced around and honestly really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. If I was always local, it would definitely be my go to study spot. Cortado was very nice as well as the thick and chewy (in a good way) chocolate chip cookie! If I'm around again, I'll definitely be coming back. I definitely recommend. read more

I need to meet baba because I am absolutely obsessed with this place!! Service is amazing everyone is so nice and helpful! The inside is so beautifully decorated and there is plenty of seating, along with a couple tables outside as well. I ordered two drinks , the fig matcha and the knafeh latte. Both are out of this world! The fig matcha is the perfect amount of fig to matcha. Not overly sweet but still able to taste the fig. The knafeh has this delicious cold foam, I let it sit a bit so the foam was able to travel towards the bottom of the coffee and it was just chefs kiss. 10/10 can't wait to comeback read more

Absolutely love this coffee shop! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and hospitality. Sophia, the owner, is incredible--she genuinely takes the time to interact with everyone and makes every customer feel welcomed and appreciated and she even interacts with my toddlers! A huge plus I also love supporting a Palestinian-owned small business that puts so much heart into what they do. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is amazing, and you can tell there's a real sense of community here. Definitely a place you want to keep coming back to and definitely a place to work and get tons of work done! Highly recommend! read more

OMG... i've been looking for a new coffee shop and i've finally found it! baba's coffee corner is the best new coffee shop in orange county! the ladies behind the counter (women owned business!) are so sweet and make the most phenomenal drinks. i have experience as a barista so as i was watching the baristas behind the counter on the marzocco machine i could see the shots were pulling perfectly and everything looks up to standard. my friend got the seasonal s'mores latte, great rich coffee taste and light airy marshmallow cold foam. i got the vanilla cardamom matcha and it was amazing! the matcha truly tasted like green tea and not bitter or too grassy. the atmosphere was great too. a nice spacious shop with beautiful middle-eastern inspired decor. i cannot wait to come back! read more

Immediately taken back by the themeing of this coffee shop it's so perfectly done. The girls working where super fast and so kind, the service was great. As for the drinks we got the knafeh and fig matcha. Really a 10, everything felt like it was flavored naturally and nothing was too sweet. Coming back for sure read more

I tried the knafeh latte and the vanilla cardamom matcha. for the latte, the cream top with the knafeh was delicious, however the coffee itself wasn't anything to write home about, coffee flavor wasn't strong and it just tasted too milky / watery. Same for the matcha, the vanilla flavor was delicious and sweet but there was little to no hints of cardamom and not a strong matcha flavor at all. for $8.50 before tax, i'd expect better quality coffee and matcha. maybe I just had a bad experience, but the drinks were overpriced and most importantly disappointing. However, As an arab, i love seeing and supporting fellow middle eastern business, the aesthetics and vibes were beautiful read more

This shop is great! It's very large with lots of places to sit & work, there's even some spots to take cute photos if that's your thing. The baristas were kind and the service was fast. The drinks are the cherry on top, I got the Vanilla Cardamom Matcha which was very unique and delicious and the Pomegranate Refresher which was just as amazing. Shop Environment - Clean, spacious, cool, and music was at just the right volume. Lots of cultural decor also which I loved! Service - Fast & polite, nothing special but nothing bad either! Drinks - the shining star. Vanilla Cardamom Matcha: unique flavors but so yum, I got it with oat milk and really enjoyed it. The matcha wasn't super strong, but the drink tasted so good that I didn't mind. Pomegranate Refresher: wow. So unique and SO delicious. The mint lemonade was perfect, it wasn't too sweet, and it was exactly what I needed in the 90° weather. Definitely recommend stopping by, I'll be back! read more

Baba's Coffee absolutely knocked it out of the park! I've tried the Baba's Favorite, the Kanafeh Latte, and the Cinnamon Honey Latte, and every single one was a dream. Each drink was packed with flavor, beautifully crafted, and had me planning my next visit before I even finished my cup. The Za'atar Bagel with cream cheese was insanely delicious. The balance of flavors was perfect, and while I would have loved just a little more cream cheese, it was still fantastic and something I'd happily order again. What truly makes this place special, though, is the staff. The women working the counter are probably the best part about Baba's Coffee. They are friendly, welcoming, informative, and genuinely passionate about great food and flavor. My kind of people! I believe one of the gals was named Sophia, and she is an absolute doll. She made the experience feel warm, personal, and memorable. Baba's is the kind of place where you come for the coffee, stay for the conversation, and leave already thinking about who you're bringing back with you next time. Totally worth the visit! read more

I had the Fig Matcha with oat milk, and it was one of the most unique and delicious matcha drinks I've had! I had never tried fig before, so I was pleasantly surprised by its sweet, earthy, and nutty flavors and how well they paired with the matcha. The matcha was very smooth with no graininess at all. My mom ordered the Strawberry Mint Lemonade (one of the seasonal summer drinks), which was bright, refreshing, and perfect for a hot day. Both drinks were beautifully crafted and presented. The space inside was larger than I expected and had a warm, down-to-earth vibe. The staff were friendly, efficient, and patient in explaining the drink options. Overall, a very cute spot with great drinks and welcoming service. I'll definitely be back to try more! read more
