    Coconut Milk Tea And Snacks
    Steve A.

Good place to get smoothies and other cool beverages. It's one of the few hip places in Wheaton. BaBam is located in that one alley. Has a few tables inside. This is mostly a place to take something to go though. Came to get something refreshing in the morning. It's a small place in the alley that runs through the middle of downtown that has a few shops. This is one of the newer ones there. It's about $6 for a tea, and it's a pretty big cup. They have a few non dairy choices including coconut milk tea. Add toppings for another buck. There's boba and a few jellies. Has a few bags of chips and other Asian snacks, but there's not much else. There's the baked bread good for taking home for later. Has a pretty good amount of teas for a small local business. It's what's on most of the menu. They also have fresh bread at pretty okay prices.

Best drinks ever. Really fast service. And there are board games and hangout areas in the building. Definitely recommend

Located in an alley in downtown Wheaton. I actually missed the turn because of too many people walking in the middle of the alley. Best place to park would be the Chase parking lot, if not there are plenty of free parking spaces scattered around. Inside has very appealing areas that are perfect for snapping pictures for Instagram. Prices are reasonable. They have a variety of drinks and snacks. Overall, I would rate this place 4.5/5. I took off half a point because I forgot to tell the owner that I wanted light ice and 50% sugar. If you don't say anything then it'll be 100% sugar, too sweet. I got the pink bubblegum with green apple popping boba, taro milk tea with coffee jelly, pandan rolls, and sweet potato swirl bread. Drinks were tasty despite the abundance of sugar. Pandan rolls I really liked the filling inside. Sweet potato swirl bread was okay. Sufficient amount of seating.

Boba fanatic here. I was looking for a cafe and almost went somewhere else but I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to check a boba place out. I love a local spot with a cool vibe that you kind of just have to know about to know about it. The local art on the wall for sale, the open-to-outside concept, and the delicious fruit teas makes this an absolute requirement for a stop in Wheaton. I went during Cream of Wheaton and everywhere downtown was pretty busy including BaBam, but they did a great job of moving the line quickly and cranking out the good stuff. I got a watermelon fruit tea with strawberry boba... highly recommend. Their fruit teas use a jasmine tea but I saw a sign saying you could request other teas if jasmine isn't your jam. When I ordered they even let me know how many drinks were ahead of me, but honestly they worked so fast it was only a couple of minutes. I'm a fan for sure.

Co-worker and I made a planned trip here during our lunch hour! We were excited to see a bubble tea/Japanese cafe in this area. It's a soft opening so items may be limited but there were plenty of drink options ( or ) And a few bakery goods you can try! Definitely plan to come back and try the other drinks. Recommend if you're in the downtown Wheaton area to stop in. Has a cute space with seating inside where you can relax and check out the anime inspired paintings!

Great little hidden spot! Stopped by for Boba and ended with a ramen lunch. The owner is super helpful in selecting drinks. My new favorite drink is the butterfly pea tea with peach. The girls both got coconut milk tea with boba! So fun!

I drink a lot of bubble teas and have been looking at bubble teas around me. Tried this place today. I tried their Pandan custard buns and the breads are tasty. Had Thai tea with tapioca. Not sure what's in the Thai tea but it's causing my tongue to tingle. I don't have food allergies so it's a weird feelThe tapioca is overcooked. It's past the stage of glutinous and chewy to agar-agar like. Not my favorite.

We were just strolling through town when we stopped into check out the new business and menu. The space is super cute & super clean. A really nice place to visit!! We were greeted nicely and the staff and even though we said we were just popping in for a look, they took the time to tell us about their menu. We were not familiar at all! They let us know their favorites and guided us toward what we might like Everyone was so nice and obviously dedicated to their business. Even though, I was so full from dinner I purchased a tea. It was unique, healthy and very, very delicious. I loved it!! I recommend this spot!

But you can also pivot over to Thai Tea or Japanese Matcha Latte. They do offer the very classic brown sugar milk tea but also offer some fun variations such as mochi and yakult. You can adjust the sweetness (sugar) level on the drinks, which I recommend because you wouldn't believe how much sugar you're sipping! Drinks still taste good at 30%. I got the Pu'er milk tea with milk mochi last time and that's not a drink you see too often at boba shops. All in all, add this one to your list of boba shops to check out, if you're in the area!

The building looks like it was converted from a church, and the back seating area has some high stained glass windows. In the middle of the cafe is a narrow hallway/corridor where the supply closet and the single stall bathroom is, so it segments the cafe into two areas, connected by this hallway in the center. The design feels very clearly like a remnant of an old historic building, and a brick alleyway runs along one side. In the space/room where you order (walking through the seating area and through the hallway), it opens up with huge windows and a huge industrial coffee grinder on full display. There's another counter to order, with a few pastry options, and along another side wall, a rack of F&H clothes for purchase and the drink menus. (The aesthetic reminded me of Blue Bottle.) I ordered an iced Whiskey Vanilla Latte with oak milk and it was good! I couldn't taste any whiskey at all, and when I ordered the barista had mentioned this (cooked off so you wouldn't taste it) so it was a decent vanilla latte. I'll give them props for a really cool unique flavor. We all grabbed our drinks and headed (back through the hallway) into the other room with the seating area. There is a small section with a couch, otherwise lots of tables and chairs and I was glad it wasn't too crowded so we were able to grab a table. This was a great spot to grab coffee and meet up with friends. It's in a neat little downtown area in Wheaton, and they offer creative coffee drinks, with beans and merch to purchase.

I looked up highly rated Vietnamese restaurants and found Tasty House 1 in Carol Stream. This place is everything we anticipated it to be. The location is nice and has parking in front, inside is super spacious and had a relaxing and breathable ambiance. We ordered a family appetizer platter that came with all the delicious Vietnamese appetizers like: spring rolls, bbq marinated meat, fried eggrolls, grilled jumbo shrimp, meat wrapped in betel leaf, lettuce, noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, daikon, jalapeños, two dipping sauces: peanut butter hoisin and Vietnamese fish sauce. Another appetizer we got separately was the fried calamari which had a great crunchy texture, the absolute best! For our entrees I decided to build my own pho and chose tripe, rib eye steak and quail eggs. My husband got the spicy beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue). This is honestly the best Vietnamese we've ever had in our lives!!!! I'm so glad I found this place. Awesome service, food and atmosphere. Zero complaints everything was very fresh and perfect. There is a separate vegan menu with half a dozen things on it, and other than the drinks and desserts, pretty much nothing on the regular menu is vegetarian. (The papaya salad, which is on the vegan menu, is a ringer: it contains fish sauce.) You've got your choice of various fruit lemonades, bubble teas, popping bubble teas, jellies, etc. Desserts include flan, Vietnamese yogurt, coconut jelly - none of which you'll be eating onsite as you'll be too full after your entree. Portions are on the large side - even the papaya salad is a meal. I got the peach lemonade, vegetable spring rolls and the tofu, vegetable and noodles, which turned out to be a soup, basically Vietnamese ramen. The spring rolls are tasty and come with peanut sauce; the vegetable broth was savory with lots of baby bok choy, plenty of noodles and cubes of fried tofu - it was even better with some of the homemade hot sauce, which I highly recommend. The lemonade comes in a bubble tea disposable cup and contains tiny pieces of fruit - very fruity, not very citrusy. Service was friendly and very personable, which helps if you're serving 16 people. All of whom were happy.
