Twinkle is the best threader ever!! Very talented at shaping brow in a flattering way while keeping thickness. She is a true artist

The woman doing my threading, looked at me and just beckoned with her finger to come over to her chair without a word. She had a look on her face that said, either she was really unhappy to be there or unhappy to be working on me personally. Her negative energy was palpable She didn't speak a word to me throughout the process, she sort of pushed my face from side to side but did nothing to smooth out the lines in my face while she was threading so that it would get close. As a result, I ended up with patches around my lips and chin. When I tried to puff out my cheeks , or stretch the skin with my tongue she just said "no, No."It was very awkward and uncomfortable. And I'm still baffled as to why somebody would deny doing a service that I ask for. I had a full face done so I had to deal with her strange attitude for quite a while. I have very fair, eyebrows, and regularly have them painted with Henna. When I started to ask her about shaping my eyebrows again, she just said no and I looked confused and I said I would like some henna and she said "no!" I tipped her $10 just because it's my nature. I live practically across the street from the salon and would've been going there on a very regular basis. But I left Baba Threading feeling slimed. They really need to burn some sage in there or something. read more

Came here to give it a try, since I needed my eyebrows threaded. The person who was available completely rushed through it and didn't seem to care to listen how I wanted them. Now they're completely uneven, with a chunk missing from the front of one of my eyebrows. Will definitely NOT be coming back here. And for $12? What a ripoff (literally)! read more

Only giving this place a star because it's mandatory for posting. This place annihilated my eyebrows, I have been getting them threaded for 15 years and they may have just scalped my brows off. My first and last time here, the lady who did my brows rushed through the threading without a care to ask my preference. I couldn't really see them immediately after since their lighting doesn't allow visibility, but once in my car I saw my brows and how thin and crooked they look. And left a patch untouched. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. No point of going back to personally complain to them bc my hair is gone, but I cried over it. Like a haircut gone badddd, she even used mini scissors to cut of the length of my eyebrow. I understand trimming the top ends, but she cut my LENGTH so my brow is short. Soooo upset. read more

Twinkle was my go-to eyebrow girl when I lived in Orange County and since I've moved to LA, I haven't found anyone as good as her. I've had to make do with an "okay" threading place nearby since I'm not able to make it down to OC as often as I've needed. Anyway, I was in the area for another appointment and decided it was my chance to get my brows cleaned up by her. That was when I found out she wasn't at Nanu anymore and had moved here! Even better, as this salon was closer to where I was at. The salon is very spacious and tastefully decorated. Photos speak for themselves. I will never be back. I feel bad leaving a review like this during covid but the girl that did my eyebrows was like edward scissorhands. Just chop chopping away. That should have been my first red flag when she was cutting away like her life depended on it. She asked me if I wanted a clean up and I said I have been growing my eyebrows all of quarantine to get my square full shape back. I have (had LOL) thick eyebrows when I walked in and ..well.. look at the pics. One of them is completely thinned out and very clearly has been over threaded. The same one is missing a whole chunk from the front of the brow. I have never had a threader cut the ends of my eyebrows off and this lady did it. I also have a very high pain tolerance but getting them threaded this time was way more uncomfortable than usual and that should have been my indicator that she's plucking hairs that have never been plucked before. they're now two completely different shapes. It took forever for me to grow my eyebrows back to have them properly shaped. It's disheartening. I look lopsided. I'll have to look into getting some sort of micro blading done because my graduation is around the corner and my entire face shape looks different when looking at the left side of my face. If you're coming here I guess per the other reviews make sure you go to twinkle because clearly the other lady working here had 0 clue what she was doing. read more

I have naturally thick eyebrows. I went here once and was very happy with the outcome. I just got my eyebrows done for the 2nd time and they are so thin! I am in tears because I look so different. I came here to get a Hannah tattoo I called ahead of time to make sure she would be available and she agreed I asked for a simple name in cursive and she drew it like a five-year-old kid I understand that it's not her fault that it didn't come out exactly how I liked so I was not rude about it at all I just requested to make a few adjustments and she got upset and told me I should've came in hours earlier and that she can't fix any mistakes and refused to do my families henna who were accompanying me, also the color of the Henna is light orange so you can barely see it on my tan skin she seemed to have an attitude and scolded me when I was doing my best to be polite and it made me very uncomfortable, my family and I were very excited to get our henna done and we just felt like our experience was ruined, not a very hospitable environment read more

Never....ever... ever...!!!.....get a bikini wax done from them! I'm sharing this for the safety of all I would never wish this experience on anybody! The wax burnt my skin, she ripped off some of the burnt skin. It was the most traumatic technique I have ever experienced in my life, when I wanted to leave I couldn't cause it was a disturbing wax mess. I cried. I died. I have been here for threading face and my chin part was totally having cuts after threading. I never expected this service, it was painful during the process and the lady tried to make it soo quick which was too harsh while making it. I tried to show her the cuts but she didn't respond and said OK. Based on this review i hope they get to see this and should do by taking care and gentle for other people.
