At an event in Jonesboro's Lee Park where there were very few dining options within walking distance. Disregard the exterior and check this little place out! I had a really good submarine with very friendly service. Seating is rather limited.

Actually good pizza. Like most pizza it's best when the cheese is dripping hot. We haven't tried anything else there.

If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go check out Hudson and Alphonse Deli…read more I had to come on here and give a major shoutout to Sammy, the cook and founder. From the moment I called in, his customer service was top tier. Professional, warm, and intentional. He made sure my order was right, sent a quick payment link so things moved efficiently, and had everything ready by the time I arrived. That's how you run a business. When I pulled up, he greeted me with a smile, brought my food out, and confidently told me I was going to enjoy it and he was absolutely right. I originally planned to grab my food and go, but his energy made me slow down, sit, pray, and actually enjoy the moment. I asked for a lime Jarritos, and he recommended pineapple instead to pair with the jerk seasoned wild caught salmon sandwich. That recommendation was on point and really elevated the whole experience. That sandwich hits. Every bite pops with flavor across your entire palate. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy but not soggy. The kale had the right crunch. The onions tied everything together. And that homemade garlic butter on the salmon took it to another level. It's a creative spin on a traditional cheesesteak. I'm sure the beef options are great too, but if you want seafood, this is the move. I've had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly before, and honestly, I don't need to go back. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm coming here. Sammy, thank you for the hospitality and the intentionality behind what you do. You didn't just serve food, you created an experience. Thank you for praying with me. I will definitely be back.

I can't imagine what trying to pull up here during the day is like. It's great if you're walking in the GA Tech area though. The beef in the shawarma wrap was wayyy too tough for my liking but the seasoning was phenomenal. We came in an hour before close so I'll take the blame here -- going to any restaurant an hour before close is basically asking for the scraps of the day LOL. Husband enjoyed his beef shawarma plate and all the side fixings (a salad and hummus) which was quite a lot in quantity. Good value for food is definitely here. It took about $30 to feed two, including a lil dessert and a side order of baba ganoush and pita. The pita wasn't my favorite. But the baklava was a yummy finish. I'd definitely be here more if I lived in the area. I appreciate that they stay open a little later than a lot of comparable Mediterranean spots.

Unfortunately the flavor is a bit lacking and the chicken shawarma as well as the chicken kebab were very dry. The fattoush salad was also underseasoned. All of this would be excusable but the pita chips that were clearly fried and put directly into my styrofoam plate melted through and only discovered this after I had taken quite a few bites. A real shame given the hole in the wall / small business vibe, but I don't want to risk extra carcinogens each time I eat.

Trying Indonesian food during my visit in Atlanta. It was good. I would recommend ayam bakar Bumbu…read morerujak for spicy lovers!! The grill chicken is covered with plenty of spicy Bumbu rujak. The chicken is smokey and juicy! My kids really enjoyed the mie ayam bakso. The noodle is very thin, the chicken is chunky and so flavorful. The bakso is also homemade, not store bought. It's also come with fried wonton a.k.a pangsit goreng. We also try their empek2, batagor, and kwetiau goreng. It's so so in my opinion. I'm really disappointed with batagor. The tofu is stuff with so little fish paste and it's super dry. It's also come with pangsit goreng which have very little chewy meat on the inside. The peanut sauce is very sweet and over powered the whole dish. It's self service restaurant where you get your own drink and utensils including napkins. The spicy sauce and sweet soy sauce is also available on the side. They also provide the food containers for the leftover that we want to bring home on side. The owner is nice and friendly. We order the food in cashier/counter and they will bring the food to the table. They also have mini shop for Indonesian snacks or seasonings. For the payment, they accept any cash form and charge 3% for all credit cards.

There was no sign in the front of the restaurant which made it hard to find, but it is there. The staff are friendly and willing to explain each item on the menu. We got the Martabak Telor, Mie Goreng Ayam/Baso/Udang, and Nasi Udik Komplit. The Martabak Telor was a flaky savory pastry that had beef, onion, scallion, and spices. It kind of tasted like an Indian samosa. Pretty solid. The Nasi Udik Komplit was a well balanced meal with carbohydrates, protein, and vegetables. The fried chicken was more tender than I thought it would be, which was a pleasant surprise. I kind of wish it was crispier, but maybe that is not the style for Indonesian cooking. The spicy egg and the perkedel (potato patty) tasted good too. I was not a fan of the coconut rice as I do not like coconut (I got this dish as I wanted to try what was part of it, specifically the perkedel). Overall, I thought the food was alright. With this being my second time having Indonesian food, I think my picky taste buds are still adapting to Indonesian cuisine and spices. It is clear that many people love this place and their food, so take my review with a grain of salt. I would give this spot a 3.5/5 stars if I could.

The front has no sign because it's a pickup hub for multiple restaurants. People picking up orders just scan their code at the scanner and wait. People coming in for a specific restaurant, like us, were completely confused and had to figure everything out on our own with no instructions. The only sign at the entrance says "Food Pickup." We had to go inside and look around the entire place. The order screen showed a menu for some Turkish food. Even the paper menus stacked on the wall were for the Turkish place. We thought we had come to the wrong location. There was no one around to ask, and when we called the restaurant's phone number from Google, no one answered. We went back inside again. It's just a room with a bench for waiting and lockers along the wall. I checked the order machine again and discovered there are 11 pages of restaurants on the screen with no search bar, and they aren't even listed alphabetically. Good luck finding the restaurant you came for. Shawarma Press was on page 2. Since we were already there, we decided to order something just to avoid wasting the drive. We got: - One chicken wrap - One beef & lamb wrap (there's no option for beef only) - One cheese tart They force a minimum 15% tip despite zero service, and you can't customize or remove it. Each wrap cost $15.99. When I got home, I realized that ordering online from their Johns Creek location is only $9.99 per wrap. It really started to feel like a scam. Their website doesn't even list the Midtown location for online ordering. After ordering, they sent a text to my phone. When the food was ready, they sent another text telling me which locker to pick it up from. The whole process has zero human interaction, yet they still force a 15% tip. While waiting, I saw a couple and a few others walk in and look just as confused. One couple couldn't figure out how to find their restaurant in the 11-page list, got frustrated, and left. Honestly, we should have left too. We had planned for a nice weekend dinner out, but ended up just picking up the food and going home. The experience was awful. They didn't label the shawarma bags, so we had to bite into the wraps to tell which was chicken and which was beef. I had asked for my wrap to be cut in half, but they didn't do that either. I was hoping the food would make up for all the frustration, but it didn't. The chicken wrap was just okay. The beef & lamb wrap had such a strong lamb smell that I gave up after two bites. The only good thing was the wrap bread, but it was definitely not worth almost $50. The cheese tart was dry and bland. We were so disappointed afterward that we decided to blacklist this place entirely.
