This location is also close to some coffee places (like Starbucks) if you want to grab a drink to have at your appointment. There are two locations in Eagan, so make sure you know which one you are booking at! The vibes: this location is well maintained. It is clean and everyone keeps their areas nice. Compared to the other locations, this one does feel slightly outdated. I also don't like how open the seats are. In Apple Valley they are more "cubical" style, and I like that better. Payton was my stylist and I really enjoyed her. She didn't force talk and let me know every step she was taking. She gave recommendations and was professional! I would happily see her again! My color was exactly what I was looking for! My hair cut was slightly shorter than what I was hoping for, but honestly, I had such bad split ends/ it's summer that I think she did me a favor haha. They text you when it should be about 1o min. When I was a bit antsy with their slow pace at 24 minutes (no urgency to catch up), and was finally seated at 29 minutes, I commented - CALMLY - that it was an inconvenience to get the text then spend that long waiting. She said "complain to corporate they designed the system." I said yeah and they will probably blame it on this store passing the buck back. After a couple more exchanges I said, could you simply say, we're sorry we made you wait? Whereupon she refused to continue with my haircut. Emily is not your average great clips barber. There's a level of attention that she pays to detail that you do not see in entry level hair salons. You can tell that Emily thinks about what she is doing and considers her work before cutting, she goes out of her way to ensure the cut looks fantastic and spends the extra few seconds that really make a difference. I am a guy who has a very basic guy cut - it's a really simple cut that can be done "good enough" with clippers and quick blending. This is the service I am used to for a cost affordable haircut at a franchise salon. Emily was different, she made sure every single bit of the look blended perfectly, she spent the time and actually used the scissors and sculpted the look and I can absolutely tell the difference. I am a man who doesn't think about hair ever unless I'm asked to, but I could very easily tell the difference between my standard cut and the quality that Emily provides. Emily is phenomenal and easily adds tremendous value to great clips. Dedication and consideration for one's work are qualities that keep a business like this thriving, I hope that the franchise owner sees the same.

Imagine our surprise when we found out this so called, "spa" doesn't do pedicures for new clients. We've been hopefully waiting for them to hire a new pedicurist, but the girl answering the phone today said it was doubtful they'd be doing that. Two years ago, we asked for a refund for our gift cards. They won't do that. Get this: This is a "spa" that doesn't do pedicures. It doesn't do facials. It doesn't do massages. Calling Revive a salon and spa, is like calling a restaurant without food - a "restaurant". Oh - what do they do? They do hair (we have our preferred hair stylists) and they do make up and waxing. Definitely not interested in that. They won't refund the money ($135.). It's time Revive changes their name or at least lets people know they aren't a traditional spa. So disappointed in the misrepresentation and the fact that they won't refund us.

Then the one who "got" to take me, Bri, re-asked me what I wanted done. I took my hair out of my bun and she asked me if I wanted it washed. I said yes, I am here for a blowout and curl. So she shampoos me, feels great, smells great, all great. Then we get to the chair and she starts to blow dry me. Loved that they have Dyson dryers! Then she goes to get the wand. Its tapered...from my experience you do not get beautiful natural loose beachy waves with a tapered wand. But okay she is the professional! I make conversation and explain the last time I got a blow out at FS the woman gave me dolly Parton hair and used SO much hairspray. She assured me she wouldn't tease my hair or use hairspray. Great! As I hear my hair sizzle on the wand I start to get nervous because I had told her I like keeping my ends straight when curling and I can see in the mirror is she wrapping the whole strand. Then she does the final reveal. My hair is flat, looks crunchy somehow without hairspray. I wanted to cry, I was on such a time crunch I didnt have time to get it redone. I paid the $40 PLUS a tip and left. Also its very uncomfortable to be ASKED if I would like to tip cash or on my card...I wasn't given a choice and felt I was put on the spot. I really should have said neither but I just had to get out of there. I didn't have much time to finish getting ready so I went home, sent my sister a snap (who laughed and couldn't believe I paid for this) I then brushed out my hair and curled it myself. Had to go in and straighten the ends to get the kink from the curl out. Never ever again. I really wanted to give them a second chance. Its been YEARS since that first blowout and I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But a different location, and another stylist who doesn't care about the final result....I can't even say "you get what you pay for" because a blowout at DRYBAR is $50 so Fantastic Sams can get overselves. What a joke. And honestly I regret I didn't keep any pictures so I could share them on here

It really helps give me an idea into what you experienced. Again, I do deeply apologize for this. This is not how I run my salon at all. I have talked to the stylist and will be working with her so this does not happen again. Thank you for reaching out and bringing it to my attention. I would absolutely love for you to give us another shot. Unfortunately since it was fixed at a different location I am unable to issue a refund but because of what we have discussed here is what I would like to offer you. In the next month, or whenever you see fit, I would like to have you come in for a color refresh, hair cut, conditioning treatment and blow out/thermal style with me. The thermal style is your choice, I can curl or flat iron your hair. This would of course be free of charge. Again, I really do appreciate your corporation and I am very very sorry that this is what you experienced at my salon. I would love a chance to show you that it not how things run here. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you and thank you again *My response* Thank you for taking a look at my situation. I didn't want to return for a third time to have a potential fail again. Hence visiting a new location to Un-damage my hair & have inches cut off. It saddens me the only thing FS can offer is a free style; I had to spend 3 hours two separate days (6 total plus another 3 to get it fixed at a different location) to get damaged hair, dry ends & Barney & teal colored hair with a streak of blonde at the end of the second try & pay $185 plus tip. I've always gone to Kevra for a hair cut & brow/lip wax & she's great. Hayley too has great personality, I just wish she'd have told me she wasn't comfortable doing my coloring (she seemed uneasy the first day I came in & left with brown hair). The first visit, I had a feeling with the orange highlights, the color wouldn't stick, but I had faith & had hoped it'd work or hoped she'd have said something when I did end up leaving with brown hair. The second visit, meant to correct the coloring, upon half drying my hair, I mentioned "it looks more green than blue" & nothing was said-still, I tipped her. What I got was dry pinkish & teal hair instead Thank you for offering a free service but I don't think I'll be visiting your location again. KND
