Their new location is BIGGER and BETTER than ever! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. Wondering if they'll be getting more of that yummy snack or seasoning you picked up there last week? Ask them! They're always happy to get things back in stock if you want them to (supply chain permitting, of course). If they don't have it or can't get it, they'll help you figure out where you should be able to get it. I watched one of the owners spend 10-15 min with a customer trying to find a couple of specific ingredients for a dish they were planning on making that night. The owner called another local store to ask if they had those items in stock and then gave the customer full directions to drive there from Culinary Architecture. Besides their excellent selection of packaged goods and produce, the food and drinks they make in-house are also exceptionally good! Sweet treats? Meat (and No-Meat) pies? Bread? Caffeine fix? They have it all, with a solid selection of staple recipes and a rotating menu of new/seasonal items! With the natural light, warm smells, and big community table with different chair choices right up front, you'll feel right at home here. Convenient parking and outdoor seating available, too! Come check 'em out in Little Italy! (BONUS: A lil lady named Pokey... You'll know her when you meet her. )

Oh my goodness -absolutely superb flavors, freshness, and ambiance. the sauce that came with the salmon roll was a very special treat!! Service wise, it was very pleasant to not be rushed to eat and go - a lovely area for great food and conversation. They also have a grocery area, as well as some unusual gifts. I will return!!

There is a full wine bar as soon as you walk in that is about as prominent as the cheese selection, and there is a clear passion for pairing these two. Sampling a few cheese and wine pairings, then grabbing a bottle and a quarter pound of our favorites with a freshly baked baguette on the side makes for a really lovely evening. It can definitely get busy, but service is always friendly. They also have a little import specialty shop in the back (yes, there's a back...it's around the corner!) where you can often find some foodie goodies. This is a low-key place that is a true staple. All of the staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. There are a lot of people there for a small place so they definitely do their best at getting everyone served quickly. The food is very reasonably priced, the DELICIOUS paninis (not pictured) are a must as well as a cheese board to start off the night. I would definitely try a new combination of flavors because they were all phenomenal, definitely get the old bay Asiago though! Both times I have been I have bought my favorite items in their store which is a great feature and so satisfying to supplement my boring weekly groceries!

Our party of 6 did not have a reservation and ended up waiting about 1.5 hours on a Friday. The hosts seemed a bit overwhelmed with the busyness of the evening - not sure if they just needed some extra hands on deck. Outpost has good cocktails and mocktails. The wings are a go-to for us and the burger does not dissapoint at all. However the star of the show at our last visit was the Brussels sprouts!! Sooo flavorful and crisped up. Highly recommend. Definitely stop by here if you have a reservation or a relatively small party and looking for a tasty lunch or dinner!

Vibes were comfy and cozy, with a neighborhood bar feel where if you're a regular they probably know your name and drink order. Parking is very tricky because this restaurant is in a residential area. My bf got the halloumi carbonara but unfortunately it was quite salty. Not just the crispy halloumi bits but the actual noodles and sauce as well. I got the brazillian picanha and though there was a miscommunication about the meat temp, it was promptly handled and I enjoyed the steak itself. The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus however were a little weak compared to the steak itself. I can't explain it but the seasoning felt a bit off on the horseradish mashed potatoes. Dessert was excellent- we split the chocolate guava tart.

Both our server and the host were super attentive and made sure we understood the menu and specials, which we really appreciated. The ambiance was beautiful--very clean, cozy, and just a really nice place to sit and enjoy your food. It does get busy, but they're very organized and communicate wait times right away, which makes a big difference. Now the food: Donuts: SO good--soft, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. Cheesecake: A little on the firmer side rather than super creamy, but still tasty. Margherita pizza: Great flavor (9/10). Personally I'd love a bit more cheese, and it's on the thinner side, but for the price and portion, it's still a solid choice. Pulled pork special: 10/10--absolutely delicious. Fried pickles: 9/10--slightly salty for some, but definitely worth trying. We dined in and also did takeout on two different days, and both experiences were consistently great. Definitely a spot we'd come back to!

From an adult perspective, we walked into what looked like total chaos--a packed restaurant--and immediately thought we'd made a mistake. But then we realized you can order at the counter and head upstairs to grab a seat. Total win-win. We went with two cappuccinos, a lineup of sweet treats, and an incredible steak, egg, and cheese sandwich that absolutely delivered. Hands down one of our best Baltimore finds--we're already looking forward to coming back when football season rolls around.

I do miss the old Cross Street Market before the complete renovation in 2018, which seemed to cater to the average local, however, the current, more modern market certainly is a gem in Federal Hill despite the more expensive food prices. I like the selection of cuisines featured. The diversity covers bar food, dinner food, quick bites, and dessert. And of course there are plenty vendors serving crab dishes. Some of the great vendors have come and gone, like the pretzel dog vendor which for a long time was the only reason I would visit Cross Street Market. I appreciate the seating made available in the areas near each food vendor. The space is utilized efficiently, from the storage of food in the freezers near the dining tables, to the small stages where artists perform. The market is a great pre-game destination and option to watch the game if you skip the stadium altogether. Keep in mind, on NFL game day this place gets packed, so arrive early. There is ample street parking in the vicinity, however, on game days finding parking in this neighborhood is a nightmare. Overall, a must visit when in the area.

Seating: Indoor seating with room for about 20 people inside the market. Vibes: You're right in the heart of Old Town / Fells Point -- the touristy but charming part of Baltimore. I dig the vintage brick roads, the historic feel, and the mix of locals and visitors passing through. The space sits inside a lively market (1640 Aliceanna St) with that true Baltimore seafood vibe -- casual, approachable, and full of movement. It's not fine dining; it's flavor-first, no-nonsense, and welcoming. Great for a quick grab-and-go or to sit down for a casual meal. FOOD/DRINKS: Crab Soup (A-Ok) Simple but hearty. It reminded me of a tomato-based soup with crab mixed in -- nothing too fancy, but warm and satisfying. I appreciated the richness and good amount of crab meat. I'm more of a clam chowder fan, so next time I might go that route, but this was still solid. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Quick, friendly, and efficient. The staff clearly know what they're doing and keep things moving without losing that personal touch. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Good prices, solid flavors, and a classic Baltimore seafood feel. Sal and Son's Seafood isn't flashy, but it's genuine -- a go-to for a comforting bowl and a true local experience. I'll be back to try their other dishes next time I'm in the area. TIPS: * Check what's on special -- they rotate and have plenty of combo options.

It's probably because one meal was simple (crab cake sandwich, fries), and the other may have taken longer to cook to order (shrimp and chicken jambalaya). Otherwise, we were absolutely satisfied with the food. The crab cake sandwich was on point. The creamy crab soup was flavorful, creamy, and worth every bite. The shrimp and chicken jambalaya was also executed well. Also, I highly recommend trying the fresh fruit drinks. We got watermelon and pineapple, and "refreshing" doesn't begin to describe how good they were. The service was straightforward and to the point, which works for me. The establishment is located inside of a market. We went on a Sunday, so this was one of the few eateries open. I'm imagining that it is probably more jumping on other days. If I'm in Baltimore again, I'll definitely consider visiting again and exploring more of the menu.
