I try to tip generously because I am unsure of what the employees are being compensated. There is a language barrier here because the majority of employees only speak Chinese. The person at the front desk speaks English so she can help with special requests or questions. Massages can be hot or miss depending on your masseuse. During the call, I specifically asked whether they preferred that I purchase the Groupon online or simply pay the Groupon price directly at the spa. They told me I could pay them directly. When I arrived early for my appointment, they said they only wanted cash. I asked if I could pay through Zelle, and they agreed. Since I was already sending the payment electronically, I asked if I could include the tip at the same time before my service, and they initially said yes. Then they changed their minds and insisted that I send another Zelle after the massage for the tip. I explained that if I was already sending one payment that included the tip, I wasn't going to send a second Zelle afterward. I included a $15 tip, but instead of appreciating it, I was told they have "recommended" tip amounts and that they were already giving me a discount. Let's be clear: purchasing a Groupon is not the business giving me a personal discount--it's a promotion they choose to participate in to attract customers. If they have an issue honoring Groupon pricing, then they shouldn't advertise on Groupon. A tip is a courtesy based on the service provided, not something customers should be pressured or forced to pay at a certain amount before the service has even been performed. Because I wouldn't agree to tip what they wanted, they became upset and refused to provide the service, despite the fact that I had called ahead, confirmed everything in advance, and arrived on time for my appointment. I've never experienced such unprofessional customer service. Turning away a paying customer over a tip is unacceptable. I will never return, and I would not recommend this business to anyone.

We had to take our shoes off at the front and then they escorted us back into the room. We had both a male and a female masseuse and we were able to talk and laugh while we got our massages. The pressure was constant but firm and the oil was perfect and hot. They were professional and I basically melted into the table. There are a few times where they apply a little too much pressure, but I just said something and they made it more comfortable. I'll probably come back and treat myself some other time!
