The food and staff are always amazing. I have never had a bad experience here. The sweet tea is good also. This place is a must try if you're looking for good pizza, salads and pasta. The restaurant is clean. They have great family specials.

Below is the picture of the "philly cheesesteak" I ordered. What a total joke. I had to throw it away. The pizza was okay, but I doubt I'll order from here again.

Much larger than it appears from the street. Nothing fancy but it's clean and tidy, interesting plane motif.

I was thrilled to see they do Take and Bake pizza! That's a feature I can make regular use of! The menu isn't huge but there's enough to come back several times to sample. If this first try of their pizza is all that I hope for, it can easily become a new favorite!

Not my first time here, but it is my first review for them! This is really good pizza! (Is there…read morebad pizza?) very traditional, thin, Neopolitan style crust. Not huge, but two or three people could enjoy. (6 slices cut) I wanted to try something different so we got two and boxed the rest. Shelby greeted and seated us, and although she lacked a little knowledge on the beer menu, she made up for that with a trip to the bar to investigate our questions on sour beer, and came back with two excellent samples! We settled on a Dr. Robot and the Charcut-a-pie. I loved the toppings and balsamic drizzle. Goat cheese and arugula just go together. A little honey and I was in heaven! The crust on this one was a little well done, which disappointed but, the overall flavor was on point. Next, we sampled the Spicy Italian. I'm usually pretty good with spicy things, and while this was no exception, it did have both of us in a small sweat! If you are averse to spicy, stick with something else. This crust was also cooked and not over done. I'm not sure what McDonoughs' obsession is with vaults, but it seems to be a recurring theme around the square. You'll find vaults or at least doors that look like vaults all over. The rest of the decor inside and outside was well done. Exposed brick gives it immediate rustic charm, while black floors, raw wood art, and leather stools wrap the package nicely. I definitely like their lighting! Oversized bulbs hung around the pizza oven bar (which you can sit at if there's space) and giant hoop rings finish the rest of the space. It isn't that glaring light that spotlights your table, it's just a nice warm ambient light that makes you wanna pour a vintage red into a wine glass over and over. Oh! I almost forgot, they do have an outdoor patio up front, so on those less humid days and nights, I'll definitely be hanging out there!

The waitress was very friendly. Our food came out in a decent amount of time and it was hot and delicious. I ordered Angel hair pasta with chicken and. My husband ordered pecan chicken. They were both so delicious but huge portions so I had a pretty big take home meal.. I also had for dessert some crème brûlée. It was delicious as well. I did not get a picture of it. I forgot. I highly recommend this place. We've been here twice and it has been a perfect experience both times

My recommendation is to Uber and then enjoy the square. I was meeting someone for lunch and this was in the middle from our destination. It had great reviews and pasta and was what I was craving. It's a small, warm and inviting little place. Service is fast and good. Menu is limited which is not a bad thing but enough variety. I absolutely loved my fettuccine. The pasta was made fresh and you could seriously taste the difference between fresh made and boxed pasta. The crème brûlée was on point and a great finish to lunch. I had plenty of left overs. If you're in the area, definitely stop in and get you some fresh pasta! This is located on the corner next to Queen Bee's Coffee shop.

So first off, I don't know what anyone else has experienced but I Pulled up to Johnny's because my…read morewife keeps raving about the pizza and so I decided to keep it classic--garlic knots, cheese breadsticks, a cheese pizza, and a pepperoni pizza. Simple order... but executed the right way. Let me start with the pizza, because that's the headline. That crust? Straight up made with love. Crispy on the outside with that perfect golden finish, but still soft with just the right bounce on the inside. Flavor was on point--nothing bland, nothing overdone. You can tell whoever was on the oven knew exactly what they were doing. Hats off to the cook for that one. The cheese pizza kept it clean and classic--melty, well-balanced, and let that crust shine. The pepperoni had a nice crisp on the edges with a little grease pop, exactly how you want it. Now, everything else? Solid. The garlic knots were soft and buttery with good garlic flavor--not overpowering, just right. The cheese breadsticks came out hot, loaded, and satisfying--definitely a good add-on to the order. I grabbed my food to go, but had a few minutes to look around while I waited. The spot has that laid-back, local pizza shop feel--nothing fancy, just real, comfortable, and focused on the food. You can tell it's a place people come back to. Final verdict: If you're in McDonough and want a legit New York-style pizza experience, Johnny's delivers--especially on that crust. That alone makes it worth the stop.

Giovanni, Vido and family literally made my heart sing today from the moment we walked in the door! Any real New Yorker would instantly recognize NY pizza and doggone it they have it!!!! The cheese sauce crust ratio was heavenly and you know the food is good when you sit quietly after with a touch of sadness that your meal is over. lol. So what did we do? If you love beer, then you will experience a very long list of various beers and I like that's it's broken down by variety and flavor. This was our first time here so I'm not sure if it was normal but even though it wasn't really busy, service was slow.
