Had oil changed last week. They had a special for $39.95. Thought it was a great deal since I usually pay $65 plus tax at most service centers. Imagine my surprise when they handed me a bill for over $85. When I questioned it, I was told that my Kia uses a special oil filter and costs $25. Also an extra quart of oil for another $10. And additional $5.00 to dispose of the oil. I can understand the extra charges. What I can't understand is why it wasn't disclosed to me when I made the appointment or even when I arrived for the service. In fact, it wasn't even brought to my attention when I paid. I just happened to look at the bill on my way out the door. I'm usually very happy with the service here. And I've given good reviews in the past. However, this seemed to me like a classic case of "bait and switch". I went there expecting to save about $25 on an oil change. I left there paying $10 more than I usually pay. I guess I'm angry at myself for just accepting the answer I received when I questioned the bill. Additionally, I'm disappointed that this service center that I've dealt with on and off over the past would do such a thing. I'm committed to not going back there for service again. Please save yourself the headache of dealing with this shop. They did a lot of work to the car and I drove it 5 minutes home. After starting the car, I had three warning lights I've never seen before and asked them to look. After getting gouged for a part I didn't even need, going in 5 times and scheduling 6 appointments, they still had no idea what the problem was with the car. After this, I brought it to the Toyota dealership and they diagnosed and fixed the problem in an hour and a half, no problems. Please avoid the headache of getting B&S'ed about how good of a shop they are from management while needing to schedule 7 appointments to get a simple problem fixed. Update: After reading an extremely rude reply from the owner, I think I should clarify. The problem was a nicked line which Samir told me they could have done on my first time back(they also changed 2 belts and sparkplugs, it wasn't just brakes and tires). I was not able to have my car looked at after leaving work early and driving down for 3 different appointments due to shop reasons. I had to go in for 2 diagnostics and they only worked on it 1 day and was cancelled on for the last appointment. Borrowing a car multiple times and calling 5 Ubers to make no progress on fixing a car is expensive and time consuming. I'm not doing this to be spiteful, but to save other people the time I wasted dealing with B&S. read more

Wow! A review for B&S! Let me start by saying that I own all sorts of personal cars (Classic, New just out of dealer, foreign and domestic and Jeep Wranglers) as we are a large family. Safety and maintaining the cars is what B&S do extremely well! They are fair and I find more knowledgeable and honest then going to dealers and commercial types like sears, pepboys, firestone, etc.. My boyfriend took my Land Rover out one day to go to work and it overheated so he took it to this shop which was close to his job. They said I need a new water pump and radiator and coolant hose, it hurt to hear that but I had no problem paying for something if that's what it really needed and also asked them to do an oil change. I went back 2 days later to pick it up, and dropped off my other car to get new tires. The following day the Land Rover started over heating again and I also noticed the car was very low on engine oil. I called mike and told him what was going on he told me to top off the fluids and bring it back to him when I went to pick up my other car. Upon arrival, Mike told Kevin (the guy that worked on my car) to check for leaks and to check the oil in the car... I followed Kevin outside and het opens the hood of my car, doesn't remove the engine cover, and says oh it's not leaking (you can't see the bottom of the car without first removing the engine cover) Then he goes on to look for the dipstick which was frustrating because he just worked on my car, he should know it doesn't have one. Then goes over to mike and says how am I supposed to check the oil it doesn't have a dipstick. My father goes on to show Mike how to check the oil levels on the dashboard and this guy says oh no that's just the service line and goes on to GOOGLE HOW TO CHECK THE OIL IN THE CAR ONLY TO FIND OUT MY DAD WAS RIGHT. Long story short I took it to Land Rover and they said I never needed a new radiator or water pump and that I paid $3000 for nothing! All I needed to do was replace the coolant pipe on the intake manifold, the intake manifold gasket, and the coolant pipe to the radiator. Spoke to Mike and asked for a refund, his response was "well I wasn't the one who bought a car off of Craigslist". I have 1 year warranty on the work they did and I can't even trust them enough to rectify the situation. I want a refund. read more

The manager at the front desk over there is very dishonest, I don't care what the other reviews say. I have a clogged catalytic converter, I went there and asked him if he could tell me which converter needed to be replaced, AndI knew there were codes on my cars computer,I bought an obd2 and found that out for myself,which I mentioned. I erased the codes, and was driving the car around so they can reset, hoping I could pass my inspection,he said he would be able to tell me which converter needed to be replaced. his mechanic plug in the obd2 machine It took 5min he wanted to charge me $119.00 for a car diagnosis , I told him I already had that done, I just needed to know what catalytic converter on my car was bad,then said I needed a oxygen sensor and a few other things, and said he couldn't let me know what converter was bad until I had him fix the other work at his shop first..I said I have my own mechanic to do the work I just needed to know what converter was bad. Then he wanted me to pay him $119.00 I refused to be ripped off, and then he said give him $60.00 I said no!!! for 5min work I didn't need done!! He called the cops and gave his bull story,the cops knew him, so I had to pay. I had to pay $ 60.00 for 5min work which I already done myself. read more
