Lady was super nice on phone but the guy who showed up will talk your ear off. Fortunately for me, I did all the work before he came to pump the septic, so when he said that he needed to use an auger and then pump our septic, I knew he was lying. He raised the price by $300. I told him that's not what was quoted and in over 20yrs of having a septic I never heard anyone having to use an auger before pumping a septic tank. She gave me a rundown of the prices: $225 to dig, $450 to pump, and another $225 if you need chemicals. When the appointment came, the crew of two showed up on time, and they got right to work, digging out my septic tank lid and making hilarious poop puns along the way. They gave me a rundown on how the system worked and gave me tips to ensure it works for years to come. Mike, the owner and father of the two young men who came to dig out the lid, showed up about an hour later with the pump truck and helped them finish the job. I elected to have chemical treatment to help maintain my leech field, and the crew elected to come back the following day so as to let it settle a bit overnight. Mike called me in the morning and let me know when to expect his son to come by to finish the work and collect payment. All in all, Kern County Sewer is a great family owned business. The office staff is polite, and the guys in the field know their crap.

I was extremely disappointed by the behavior of one of this company's drivers on Saturday, May…read more30th, at approximately 5:00 PM. The company vehicle, license plate #36795B3, was being driven with a complete disregard for safety. The driver was aggressively passing vehicles in the canyon, driving recklessly, and forcing other vehicles off the road. This type of behavior is dangerous and could have easily resulted in a serious accident. When an employee is driving a company vehicle, they are representing the business, and unfortunately, this driver's actions reflected very poorly on the company and demonstrated a lack of professionalism and concern for public safety. I hope the company takes this matter seriously, investigates the incident involving vehicle license plate #36795B3, and reminds its employees that no destination is worth risking the safety and lives of others on the road.

The smell was still there, then was told it was coming from pipes, the plumbing company told us of pods to put in dishwasher, garbage disposal...etc. this went on for 2 years. He immediately knew there was a leak he did assessment and immediately (that same day) had his crew (amazing crew) look for the leak. They found several leaks and what was causing the awful smell. They replaced all the old pipes with the new updated PVC. No more smell and under the estimated price we anticipated. I can't thank them enough for believing

Stay away!! At ALL costs!!…read more Wouldn't even give one star. After having a million and one issues with scheduling services (many missed service requests), quality of service, (nothing gets sanitized, usually our belongings get knocked over, thrown about, or fences backed into with the trucks. And drivers driving way over speed limit on our road) and billing issues (we were incorrectly charged for almost a whole year) I finally spoke up and posted a review on Google. The owner Tracy replied and told me no service issues have ever been recorded, that me being charged incorrectly is a "discount" and to contact her to further discuss. So after calling Tracy she gave me the excuse that because of covid she can't hire good employees, word for word said it's a "shit show for lack of a better word" and the very last thing she said to me was "from now on call and speak to me if you have any issues and we can resolve them instead of leaving us any bad reviews" which is fine. I thought we finally came to an agreement. Until the very next day a service rep called me asking to trespass onto our property to pick up the unit without ANY NOTICE! And everytime I try to speak to Tracy she dodges my calls and we only get to speak to her manager George who is CRAZY CRAZY rude, totally freaked out when I told him our conversation was being recorded and said "I thought you weren't a hothead like your husband?", and all we've gotten with him is "the owners will call you" and "Tracy made an owner decision to have the unit picked up since we can't come to an agreement"... Tracy what happened to our agreement of me speaking to you the next issue that arose just hours before?? What a totally crazy experience to have with a service company. We have since spoken to multiple other contractors who have them hired as a service provider, as well as independent residents who have had very similar issues. After finding a new rental service they informed us that the majority of their customers have come from Knights as well. Watch way the hell out and save yourself the drama and the headache!! Also how weird is it that every single "funny" react on this review are all from employees that actually work in this office that I have never even spoken to. Like someone else said before me, There's no responsibility and the laugh reacts just prove that even more. This has been such a weird experience overall.

This 5-star review is for Shawna and Curtis…read more Shawna is the office manager and has been exceptionally kind and informative each time we have spoken. My house needed the main-line unclogged, and in addition, we needed the shower pan in our master bathroom looked at. Shawna told me she would call me back in 5 minutes and she did exactly that, got us scheduled and told us to never hesitate to reach back out if we needed anything in the meantime. Curtis was the technician that showed up, got our main-line cleared and also was able to fix our shower pan issue as well. The pan had too much head pressure which was causing the drainage system to suck in air and clog the drains. He had it fixed in about 5 minutes. We were so happy with that fix we asked them to replace our hot water heater, got a quote for $2400 which included all the proper certifications and inspections. We set up an appointment for the following week and Curtis, along with another gentleman, got it done in about 2 hours. They also repaired a few of our water valves in our laundry room before leaving. All in all, it was a great experience this time around. My father previously had a bad experience with Stan's, but we couldn't be happier this time thanks to Shawna, Curtis and the gentleman that helped Curtis as well!

I asked for a quote to replace all the lateral plumbing in my attic. Not whole home. Just the attics. I was quoted 12500.00. A quick run through AI showed the materials cost at 1000-1500. I even gave them 2500 just to be nice. That means 10000 in labor cost for a 2-3 day job. When I asked the contractor about the materials cost specifically he could not even give me a list. How can you calculate a quote without knowing labor cost or materials cost? I found a reputable plumber to do the job for a fair price. Unfortunately, most of these businesses don't want to do these jobs so they way overbid them in hopes people don't look into it and just get it done. And most of the time these are people in dire straights due to a major leak etc.

He was very nice and he did tell me it was a Honeywell unit and that his company warehouse did not carry the part we would need to replace on it, and said we would have a very difficult time finding parts for that Honeywell brand water heater from any reputable company here in Bakersfield, Ca. He recommended we replace the unit w a new unit altogether. The only reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 stars is due to the technician promising to check a few other places for our Honeywell unit's part and promised to call me back 4-5 days, and I in turn said I would pass along the quote to replace the unit to my spouse. He never did call me back at all, however he was not wrong about his diagnosis or his advice. While he was here he also was able diagnose and fix a problem with the pipe beneath our sink that carries the water from our dishwasher to the drain spout and drains the water into our kitchen sink. He fixed it very quickly and he was also fast and very affordable. This plumbing company has been my spouse's mother, aunt, and grandmother's go to plumber for at least 40 years.
