I needed a garage door opener replaced. I called B and D Door. I had their busyness card on my garage wall from the last time I used B and D. James answered the phone and said he could come the same day if it wasn't working. I told him the next day would be fine since I was replacing the old one. The next day he was on time and started working on replacing the garage opener. That's when he noticed one of the springs was broken and pointed it out to me. It made since because a heard a noise coming from the garage a few days earlier. I didn't see the broken spring because its hidden behind the door when its closed. James replaced the springs and cable wires which was shredded from wear. James was knowledgeable, work was done in a timely manner and he program my MyQ garage opener, car remote and garage touch pad. I'm glad I kept the busy card from 16 years ago. I got a new one from James that I put on the wall for when needed next time. 5 stars read more

James was simply awesome !! We had an old rusty and loud garage door system. James provided different options for replacement. Once we aligned on an option, he came in the next day and worked long hours to make sure everything was installed properly and worked perfectly. Very happy with the results. B & D Door - Broken garage door spring. James fixed it same day at a fair price! - Garage Door Services Near Me

I had James install a garage door opener for me in 2023 and he did a good job. Since then I had him do maintenance work a couple of times and it was done well. However, I recently had a new garage door installed by him and since I trusted him I did not ask for anything in writing. I had specified a Hormann Therma Tech 3400 door. After the door was installed and I paid him, I asked James to give me the documentation for my records. He said he would send me the docs but necver did. I reminded him a couple of times without success. I then called him and he hung up on me and then refused to answer my call. That made me suspicious. So I took a picture of the label on the side of one of the panels and sent it to Hormann. They told me that it was not a Hormann label. Which means that James did not install the garage door I had asked for. And I do not know the quality and the manufacturer of the door he installed. So BEWARE! read more

James was very helpful to us. He stayed on the phone with us and helped us fix our garage door when it wouldnt close and the emergency string wouldnt work. Without his help, we would have to leave the garage door open all night on a Sunday. He deserves the highest recommendation! read more

I've used B&D Door twice now to fix my garage door issues and have had fantastic service each time! Today my garage door pooped out suddenly and thankfully, I had a B&D Door card stapled to my garage wall! I was surprised James was able to come out the same day to fix it. Right away, he was able to recognize the problem and got to work (busted spring). Not only did he install a more durable spring than what was there before, but he went above & beyond to make sure the joints & everything else were in working order. I can't thank James enough for the excellent service he provided. I will definitely continue to use and recommend B&D in the future! read more

One of my garage door hinges broke and I called B & D Door for service. James answered the call and he showed up at my home on the same day. He inspected my garage door and made some recommendations to change some other hinges that were cracked and about to fail, plus recommended replacing the rollers and the lower plastic cover at the bottom of the door which was in taters. We haven't made any major maintenance to our garage door (other than replacing the springs) in 20 years! James provided full maintenance, repair and tune up of my garage door and I am extremely satisfied by the quality & value of his service. If you have any garage door needs, give B & D Doors a call and ask for James. James got you covered. You will very pleased and can thank me later. read more

James was so helpful! Very quick to respond, friendly, and helpful! Our garage door was scraping at the top. He came over and diagnosed the problem right away. James came by today on short notice (within several hours.) We had a broken spring. He took inventory of our old opener, the cable and chain and pronounced it fine, but recommended various other parts replacements to prevent future breakdowns. This all seemed very reasonable. He was done in just over an hour and everything works as smooth as a Cadillac.... We have used B&D before, and highly recommend this very competent provider! read more

My old craftsman chain drive garage door opener gave out and James came through and installed a new belt driven opener with WiFi back up battery etc and tuned up my garage hinges etc!!! Excellent fast professional service!! A++ highly recommended! read more

B & D Door did a great job of fixing the broken springs on the garage door. They came out on short notice and replaced the springs even with 2 cars in the garage. It was a hot day and super cramped in there with the cars still in the garage. He also lubricated the wheels and rails. When the springs are broken, you can't budge the door so couldn't get the cars out. So very glad they could fix it quickly with the cars still there. It's a few months later (sorry I am late with the review) and everything still working great. Thanks! read more

Our garage door wouldn't open all the way so I knew to call B&D door because Cody had replaced our garage door opener five years ago. I called and James, not Cody answered but after I told him what happened he knew right away what it was the cable broke and he arrived to our place later in the afternoon. James replaced the cable and finished the job in no time. James is very nice and personable. He bought the business from the previous owner. If you need your garage door repaired, I would highly recommend B&D door. read more

I had a situation where my garage door would not stay closed; instead it would continue to rise up again and again. I called James at B&D Door. He was quick to respond and was able to come within the hour. He assessed that the 20+ year old motor was problematic and needed to be replaced. James offered me some options and was able to install a new system quickly. Total removal and installation may have taken 60-90 min. He also helped me with setting up the application and was patient to explain details of the new garage door system, which was great. James is a stand up guy, experienced, diligent, and with him there's no BS, he just gets the job done. I highly recommend his services. read more

James with B&D Door is the best! I cannot express my gratitude for or recommend him highly enough. I had two, unrelated, issues with my garage door this year and James came through big time on both (one was a spring and panel issue, the other was a sensor/electrical issue). He resolved each quickly and was able to provide same day service with both issues. James is incredibly kind, professional, honest, fair and does an excellent job. I will continue to use B&D Door for all garage door needs and happily recommend him to everyone. read more

I had been having problems with my garage doors not closing consistently - which had been driving me nuts for months since I always had to get out of the car and manually hold the button on the wall panel down just to get it to close. James came out on a Sunday, knew exactly what he was doing and got both doors operating like butter. I'm so thrilled with the results, and couldn't be happier with the service. James totally made my day. Hell, he made my month given how much time he has saved me now, not needing to manually hold the buttons down to close the doors anymore. read more

The good news was that the old garage door motor lasted for 18 years. The bad news is that we needed a new one. The GREAT news was that B&D could come out and replace it on the same day I called them. James was awesome and clear on the cost for a new motor. We're very happy with the product, service, and work effort of James and his replacement of our old garage door and all the equipment with new. We knew our door and equipment was on its last run for years and he verified repair would only be a short term bandaid after James' predecessor tried to patch it a few times. He worked with us on a manufacturer question/change option to our satisfaction, provided delivery with in a few days or our order, and installed it into the evening to get it done quickly when it arrived and his schedule was tight. James knew his business, explained many aspects of the door's operation, pros and cons, iphone application, and made recommendations we now see were correct. I've had B and D door service my old door years back and always with good results from his predecessor, but this was the right time to replace it all. We're very happy with his pricing, not only very competitive but much more of a local provider business feel than the big companies we spoke to or even Costco's costs. We recommend B and D Door. read more

Just wanted to give big thanks to James for coming out on a Sunday evening and fixing my garage back to %100. I appreciate you!

James and Albert did a fantastic job. They didn't push me to get a new door. Instead, they pointed out where the damage is, the root cause, repair options and the corresponding costs. Very professional, no BS, and very reasonable pricing! They even did a tune-up of my entire garage door setup at no extra cost. Highly recommended. read more

B & D Door provided excellent service in fixing my garage door. After sending quotes through Yelp for my broken garage door, B & D responded fast and had a competitive price so I messaged them to come to take a look. They promptly arrived at our scheduled time and assessed the issue with my garage door. He said he was in the business for 15 years and it shows He took the time to walk me through what the issue was and proceeded to fix a couple of things (tension rod, spool cables, and spool adjustment). After his fixes, everything was working again after 40 mins. He also took the time to tell me about general garage door maintenance tips and things to watch out for so I don't run into the same problems in the future which I really appreciate. Highly recommend! I would not hesitate to work with them again in the future. read more

I really enjoyed working with James. He is very responsive, came to my house in a few hours after the call. He gave a very thorough diagnosis of my 20+ years old garage door upon arrival (motor, spring, rollers and rubber etc). His quality of work is excellent, very detailed, spent a long time making sure everything is working properly. My garage door is now so smooth and so quiet. Looks like a brand new one with only updating a few components. I would definitely go to him for any of my garage door needs and will recommend James to anyone. read more

No longer in business (Cody bought the business from Ben in 2016). It wasn't clear from their social media presence, so I called for some repairs to my elderly mom who lives in San Jose (Ben installed the spring/cables 8 years prior). Two guys showed up, a day after their initial promise date, neither named Cody, and wanted $650 to replace the cables; made some comments about how the door really should be replaced ("it has some dents"). I sent them away. Found someone who could fix same day. Stay away from these guys. read more
