Overall, they are okay. They are responsive and easy to schedule. I should have done more homework, but needed my garage door working. A professional door company should use a quality door opener, but they installed a lower-grade opener that I should have checked. A good opener, such as a Liftmaster or Marantec will usually have a solid single-piece rail and a strong motor. They have Liftmaster on their website, so I didn't even think about it. After they installed and left, I checked the model on-line. Realized they installed a lower model (cheap) opener that is sold at Home Depot and Amazon. They way overcharged me for what I got. I could have just bought it myself from Home Depot for cheap and had a handyman do it for a fraction of the cost. Lesson learned, next time I'm going with one of the larger companies that use good products. A year later however, one of the doors gave a warning sign - excessive force detected- and said this required attention. Will said he could come the same day to inspect. I waited. Later he said he thought I was in Almaden. Because I am in San Jose, he could not make it. So, we arranged another day. He did not show up. Later, when I checked at the end of the day, he said he had an issue with his truck. I expressed displeasure at his lack of communication and he seemed to get upset. He came another day when my wife was home. My wife could not show him the error message as it went away when the garage door was opened. He told my wife that if we could not show him the error code, how would he know what the problem is. He was rude, made some adjustments and left. The problem was fixed but the experience left a bad taste. It's been a while since we had this experience. Now we need maintenance/ some tuning. When I close my garage door, it started opening up after it touches the ground. I called a few places on Yelp for quotes on a fix. I'm so blown away on the honesty of this business. A minimum visit for a quick fix can cost $99. But because it can easily be adjusted by a screwdriver, the employee told me where to look and told me how it can take 30 seconds to adjust the down arrow adjustment. I adjusted the up arrow a bit up more. It worked and door stays close! I can't afford them for a new replacement, but I'll definitely keep them in mind when I have the budget for it. Whoa I am blown away at how efficient Will is. Our garage spring broke and I contacted our former garage service person but due to shortage of parts told me it could take weeks to months! With the cold season coming and little ones, I didn't want to live without a functioning garage. Low and behold I found Will on Yelp last night, called after 7pm and he answered and said he could come by next day between 10am-12pm.
