Bob's was exceptional on every level…read more Greg and Peter did the initial inspection and prepared the estimate. They patiently walked me through the process and answered all my questions without any high pressure tactics. They thought through ways for me to save money without compromising efficiency. Their estimate was significantly less than those of other companies I contacted. I truthfully cannot say enough about the installation crew of Cody and Brian. This was a four-day job and throughout Cody and Brian were communicative, courteous, efficient and very knowledgeable about optimum installation methods. They cleaned up at the end of each day and took every precaution to prevent any damage to walls, etc., during installation of heavy and awkward water heaters and furnaces on both the main and second levels. Then, Peter and his crew from Bob's sister electrical company, Washington Energy Services, like the Bob's crew, went above-and-beyond. Peter spent a lot of time analyzing the situation to come up with the most efficient, cost effective and least intrusive methods to update the wiring to accommodate the new equipment. Bottom line: Bob's far exceeded my expectations on every level.

If there was a negative star, Bobs would be the winner. Bob's Heating also owns Bob's Smart Home,…read moreexcept there is NOTHING smart about it or their service crew. Let's start from the beginning. They forgot to finish setting up the service. We paid $8000 for the lowest-end package, and they FORGOT to finish the job! Their front office gal, Shannon, argued for days over whose fault it was--ridiculous service. We finally got them out to finish setting up the lights and thermostat, 1 month after we had moved in. Next issue. They didn't label all the Ethernet cords, nor did they test the lines. We had to call them back out to finish THAT job as well. Here is the biggest laugh.. we realized that they labeled two cords as 4th bedroom. We don't have four bedrooms, so guess what.. they have to come back out yet again, finish the job a monkey could do. Now.. the next issue. We had a power outage. When the lights came back on, none of ours worked. We tried to reset the unit, but received an error message that the server was down on the Bob's Smart Home side. They obviously do not have any indicators on their end to indicate when one of their clients has NO POWER. INSANE!!! Last issue. They didn't set the temp on our hot water tank correctly, so we have 90-degree water only 30 feet from the tank. This isn't hot enough to wash dishes. The upstairs shower is always cold.

I had a furnace and central air conditioning installed by Pilchuck Heating approx 2 1/2 years ago…read more Everything was working great. Then the condensation pump on my furnace failed. I called yesterday and explained what the, "Symptoms", were. The issue was correctly diagnosed over the phone. The technician said he could be out today to replace the part. He was right on time. Very quick turnaround!! And, I was told the part was still under warranty, which I was not aware of. No cost to me. No delay in the fix and no issue with the warranty! I highly recommend this company for not only the initial install but the service after the sale. They stand by their work.

I moved into a pre-owned condo 5 years ago and noticed an "annual maintenance record" on the unit…read morethat showed the previous owner had used Evergreen State for 10 years or so. With that said, I decided to continue using Evergreen as my annual maintenance company for my HVAC unit. Their service technicians are fantastic...always prompt and efficient. As part of the service, the technician installs a filter that's included in the cost of the service. I have a Honeywell system, and anything less than the exact size of 20x20x4" ends up being cockeyed in the return duct. Most generic filters are sometimes at least 1/4" smaller on all sides, so they do not fit securely in the bracket. During the last visit, the tech installed a generic filter. I didn't discover it until a couple months later when an alert popped up in my calendar reminding me to change the filter. It was indeed not seated correctly due to its size being smaller, and it essentially wasn't "filtering" my air at all for the two months since the service. I called Evergreen for a proper replacement, which the tech delivered later in the week. Same problem - too small, as it wasn't a Honeywell. I pointed it out to the tech and he said he is aware of the issue and will have a correct one delivered. Two weeks later, still no replacement so I called the office and was told that if I wanted a Honeywell I would have to pay for it. Funny, but in the previous 4 years I've had an exact-sized replacement included as part of the annual service. And when I suggested that my annual service should be reduced if a proper filter isn't included, I was advised that they couldn't... Poor response, as after 15 years of consistent annual services of which 5 were mine, I'll be looking for another company...

I had a very disappointing experience with this company…read more I paid a deposit to schedule an installation, and while they initially set a date, the installer later reported he was injured. They then rescheduled and sent two other technicians, but shortly after, I was told they would not be available for another three weeks. Because I am preparing to sell my house and working on a tight timeline, I had no choice but to hire another contractor to complete the job. Despite multiple follow-ups and being told they would call me back regarding the refund, I have not received my deposit back and have not received any meaningful communication. I understand that unexpected issues can happen, but the lack of follow-through, delays, and failure to return the deposit for work that was never completed is very frustrating and unprofessional.

I went to check the air filter to see what kind of filter I needed to purchase in the future. Imagine my surprise when I saw this filter just floating in the filter frame. Don't work with this company…read more After purchasing their annual maintenance plans for both our heater and air conditioner, they no-showed on three separate appointments. Why did I agree to the third appointment? Because the owner promised us a full refund PLUS $1000 if they didn't show for the last appointment. Despite them not showing for the last appointment, and sending me an email stating they would be sending me a check, it never showed up. I've tried calling, texting, and emailing them to resolve the issue, but they're definitely ignoring the problem. This was months ago, and to date, I've not received the service we paid for, received a refund, or even received a reply about the issue. We're now out hundreds of dollars, and I missed three full days of work for nothing.
