Prior to coming out…read moreto our home the tech called to say there was a $250 minimum charge to come for an estimate because we were not "members". This was an absolute scam. The Yelp representative (Kelly?) had replied to my inquiry regarding the availability of a plumber and said one was available the same day to come out & provide a free estimate . I agreed & Christian Plumbing called & said a technician would come @ 3:30 PM. Around 2:30 PM I received a phone call from the technician (Nick?) saying that there was a service call charge of $250 to come out to provide an estimate. Had a horrible experience where and employee turned off my water heater by turning a valve and said…read morethe brand new machine was broken..... Only to pay a few hundred dollars for a technician to come over and undo his work... All they did was to turn a valve and hit a button. The original worker said he was untrained and they will not send him for training. Horrible, and never got back to me after that situation. Responding to the message, you said that i do not agree with the decision - which is true I do not believe I should have paid for the first technicians' incompetence, there was no reason to turn off the valve. Then when you go to the second technician who came in, all he did was to turn the valve and restart the machine. Logically speaking - if the water heater worked - then we ran out of oil - then the first tech came after filling up the oil - how would the valve have been turned? Because I know i did not touch it and that's exactly why i paid extra for that service. And I have seen with my very own two eyes the first tech turns the valve. Those are undeniable the true and accurate facts of this scenario.
