Overall, I have been extremely happy with the service they have provided. Truthfully, I had never rented my home before and was unsure what would be required or involved. Luckily, Legacy Property Management came thru in every way and has made the entire process seamless for me. My initial contact with Legacy Property Management started with Steve coming out to my property to personally discuss my needs regarding my home that I wanted to rent out. He was super helpful and answered all my questions as well as walked me thru the entire rental process. LPM was the only management company that offered to meet in person as the rest that I had called wanted to give me "estimates" over the phone without having ever seen my home. Steve was very personable and was someone I felt comfortable chatting with. Afterward, I've been very fortunate to work directly with Wayne who has been fantastic. He is a professional and very knowledgeable and you can tell he has many years experience in this industry. He promptly answers my email concerns / questions. He has been on top of my tenants requests and reaches out to me when only absolutely necessary. Otherwise the entire process has been hands off which is exactly what I wanted. Now that the 1st year is almost done, he's been proactive on the renewal process and provided his professional recommendation on next steps. Also I have to add that Wayne made the tax season easy for me and provided all the necessary documents promptly. I highly recommend Legacy Property Management to manage your home rental. I definitely stand by my 5 star rating.

With over five years staying at the Coastal Digs properties, my experiences have been nothing short of perfection. Not to say that on the rare occasion something doesn't go wrong. But the manner in which these few times are handled was timely and thorough. The owners are friendly and caring people. Their properties are beautifully decorated with careful thought given to every aspect of a guest's wants and needs. There isn't one complaint I can honestly give.

I found this coastaldigs.com on Craigslist just a couple days ago and thought I'd found the perfect place (both units) and if I liked it I'd see if I could rent longer. I wanted to see the unit that was left if possible and ask a couple questions voice to voice. I gave them my number (first via email and they had been texting my cell as of 6:20pm on Saturday night and I provided it again in via text though they were texting me) and asked them to call rather than text repeatedly and find the best time for both of us to meet. Today she responded with "you haven't given your number" and "do you think I just hang around here all day?" Wow that was my first clue about this persons (Dee) lack of professionalism. She tried to nail down my rental dates on Sunday. a.m. and all I asked was for her to call so I could talk in person about a couple things and to find a good time for both of us to meet. This all happened Sunday morning. After 2 rude comments to my asking for a call I said "never mind this is rude" and being a property manager myself for over 25 years I realized best not to move forward. She offered no apology at all. Their response to my comment about me being a property manager was: "Property manager.Lol" (basically calls me a liar) Next line was "Idiot." Next was "You have been an air head from day one. Grow up" then "sounds like you've had a little too much f--king." and the final comment before blocking was "Lol, go baby go" I realized this wasn't someone I'd want to deal with. I am the customer and as a property manager myself I respond kindly and call if requested rather than text. I've spent weeks with prospective clients to find they rent something else. I say thank you for considering us and maybe we can help in the future. All this horrible dialog happened today when I had hoped to figure out a time and ask important questions as I have a disability and needed to make sure the property would suit my limitations. I actually started packing a bag in case I could move in today as they wanted the 1st or the 15th only. I DID SAVE THE ENTIRE TEXT DIALOG (NOT SCREEN SHOTS BUT UNEDITED ORIGINAL ON MY LAPTOP) FOR ANYONE TO SEE FOR THEMSELVES WHAT THE TRUTH IS. I have a vacation property on VRBO as well how frustrating it can be dealing with people and their questions but people have lives and things happen yet always act with professionalism. This was a first and so disappointing as I thought I found the perfect place. I'm sure the rental would probably be fine if you can text/email and book right away. All I asked for was a voice to voice call. - Her comments below are untrue and I have reported this to yelp as I don't want this associated with my reviews. IT IS OBVIOUS BY HER RESPONSE THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. OTHER BUSINESSES RESPOND WITH APOLOGIES AND PROFESSIONAL DIALOG.

Very scammy! I spoke with Sarah on the phone was fully transparent about my credit situation and…read moreincome and she mislead me & was downright dishonest by telling me to "apply & they can get me in a place" Maybe she has to adhere to metrics, either way it's a waste of time & money for applicants. It's unethical to take people's money for credit checks. Best business practice, is to let them know, initially what would work and what wouldn't. These property management companies are breaking the new law regarding credit check fees. Honestly, they should pay themselves, to check people's credit, if the cost is on them, they will not lie and will only work with applicants, that they are truly interested in. The new law is: California's AB 2493 significantly changed rental application fees, requiring property managers to either process applicants on a "first-qualified" basis and refund unused fees, or refund the entire screening fee to all unselected applicants within 7 days (or 30 days if no tenant selected) if they don't use the first-qualified method, ensuring transparency and returning money when screening isn't fully used or an applicant isn't chosen. Landlords must provide itemized receipts and give written screening criteria upfront, with fees capped by inflation (around $65 in 2025). Key Requirements for Property Managers Option 1: First-Qualified Process Process applications strictly in the order received. Provide written screening criteria upfront. Refund any unused portion of the fee if the applicant isn't chosen after their application was considered (e.g., if another applicant was processed first). Option 2: Refund All Unselected Applicants If you don't use the first-qualified method, you must refund the full screening fee to every applicant who isn't selected, regardless of why (even if a background check was run). Refunds must be sent within 7 days of selecting a tenant or 30 days of application submission, whichever is sooner. Transparency & Receipts Must provide itemized receipts showing actual screening costs. Provide written screening criteria to all applicants upfront. Fee Limits Fees are capped at the actual cost of screening, adjusted annually for inflation (around $65 in 2025). In Simple Terms Landlords must be very clear about how they process applications. If they can't prove they followed the "first-come, first-served" rule for every application, they must refund the entire fee to everyone they didn't rent to. I would not recommend this place unless you have a high credit score but even then they might still just be collecting applications & not have any real properties for rent. Could be a complete scam

They will deduct items from your security deposit that are clearly illegal according to published California rental laws and they won't correct it even after showing them documentation. From my experience, they don't care about renters' rights only protecting the landlord's interests and no rental is worth occupying through them!
