This is a Zero star review! I recently moved to the desert and I was referred over to Azul Vision by my PCP. I have glaucoma so I need to see an ophthalmologist to be prescribed my medication I take daily. Having an eye doctor is important for my eye health. The first appointment they wanted me to drive out to Moreno Valley for a new patient consult, 1st red flag. They dilated my eyes without informing me before it was going to take place during that initial appointment(2nd red flag) and I had to drive back home after the appointment. The next appointment I made with Azul Vision I clearly stated I needed to continue my prescription and needed to make an appointment to get that cleared. They confirmed an appointment with me and said they would be able to assist. The day I show up I am told I would only be seen for testing(third red flag). Each visit I am paying $60 co-pay. They said I would have to make an additional appointment to see a doctor for results and prescription confirmation. Why would I have separate dates for testing and results? At this point I'm starting to lose track of all the red flags! This place is pushing patients through the doors for their own benefit and not putting patient eye health and treatment first. Never in the decade of seeing an ophthalmologist have I EVER had separate appointments for testing and results and had to pay over $120 dollars in a month to see my eye doctor. If I could give them a zero I would. As with the other reviews, you wait for a very long time to be seen. They canceled appointments on you. When I finally got to see the doctor and I asked him what the timeline was he told me he had hundreds of patients before me and it would be months. Steer away if you can from this group. This is a terrible company. I cannot understand why my father has yet to have a cataract extraction after many months of consultations. Two weeks ago, I personally called to confirm the appointment for the next day. They canceled his appointment with no reason right after I called and pushed him further out for another consultation appointment. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

This place is a nightmare! Our situation started back in March 14, 2023. I had been referred to Azul Vision for a cataract consultation. Fast forward, 3-4 more visits , each a month apart with an $85. co-pay each visit. All these visits easily could have been done in one. Finally in May, scheduled to meet Maria, the surgery coordinator, but she calls in sick that day and then fails to contact us for over a month,when we called over and over leaving her messages. At last a surgery date was scheduled but we had to pay over &5000. Up front. Night before surgery, the air conditioning unit at surgery center goes out!! We were not contacted for at least a week later stating a new surgery date would be at least another month out. At this point, we decided to go to another center all together. We asked for a refund AND are still waiting for our money back. Please don't waste your precious time and money on this very unorganized, lazy establishment. read more

Poor response to problems , they made a mistake and put me off 3 months to resolve it. And I have called in a couple of times to try to find an earlier appointment. my situation should be a priority and they're not treating it as such. I have double vision and I have headaches because of it it's is as a result of my cataract surgery. Dr Logan was the surgeon . read more

The staff does not know how to schedule Efficiently. I showed up for my appointment at 8:20am. They didn't call me until 9:10. An hour late!!!! Didn't walk out until 9:40. Complete waste of my time. Don't use this office if you value your time. read more

This office is actually called "Azul Vision" and doesn't have the Indio cataract center in its name anymore. I was seen today by an excellent optometrist named Dr Shama. The office staff was friendly and welcoming, and Dr Shama is extremely knowledgeable. He welcomed any and all questions without ever making me feel rushed! He explained every procedure from beginning to end and made sure I was comfortable and aware of everything planned before he proceeded. He was patient, friendly, kind and made me feel like a valued patient. I feel educated now more than ever! Talk about an excellent "bedside manner"! I wish I had found Dr Shama years ago, I cannot recommend him highly enough! read more

Previous experiences and doctors here were ok. Today was worst patient care ever. On time for 1:10 appt to get results on eye test 2 months ago. Waited about 15 mins but that's expected. Then put in cold little room until 2:10; not acceptable! Young "Dr" Torres flits in with assistant; when I expressed frustration with the long wait, he responds that I'm "not the only patient" he has to see. No apology, no acknowledgement. I say "You're not the only dr. either" and he responds that "It's okay, we get divorced then" Really? I guess his time is way more valuable than mine. Then he reads my (already known) history from chart on screen and finally says what I came for: results from last test show no change. Well, hey, couldn't that 30-second report be said in an email? I wasted time, gas, and patience so that a very unprofessional staff can rack up another billing. Their "vision" of patient care was truly appalling today. read more

Terrible place, they're extremely unprofessional. Had to wait months to be seen & after long awaited time my sister finally has her appointment with DR. DWAYNE K. LOGAN. She waits atleast 25 min still to be seen, goes into an exam room and proceeds to describe her situation with her eye, how long it's been hurting, what the problem is, where, etc.. this ill mannered little boy in a man's body cuts her off and says she talks to much. Huh?? His job is to sit down & listen to his patients. Damn near 80 being extremely disrespectful to a 19 year old. He gives her faces as if uninterested & ask her what she's been doing to take care of her eye so far, she says she's been rinsing it out to keep it clean. He goes "no you haven't." The impudence this so call DR has. The entire appointment he made my sister feel very uncomfortable & at the end of it she came out crying. She went in looking for help & came out extremely upset, time wasted. No one deserves to be treated like that, no matter what status you think you're on. 1. DONT RECOMMEND WASTING YOUR TIME OR MONEY. 2. TALK TO YOUR MOTHER LIKE THAT NOT MY SISTER 3. IF YOU DONT LIKE YOUR JOB, RETIRE. In reality it's 0 stars but it makes me choose. read more

I was seen by Dr. Torres he was amazing I had been struggling with dry eyes for years not only did he try different methods and medications but took the time to educate me with my condition. The staff is very professional and the manager is a sweetheart so helpful at all times. read more

I am a patient of Dr. Chang , I was under the care of the same retina specialist for years elsewhere and they never took the time to educate me on what I was doing wrong injection after injection and the problem was still there. Dr Chang in Azul Visión tells it like it is ! yes he's a little harsh to be honest but on the other hand honest doctors is what we don't have anymore! Now he is just monitoring my condition. I am so glad my insurance went with Azul that was the best move they have ever made. read more

Where to begin....I was referred to this place after EPMG declined to renew their contract with my ophthalmologist I had seen for over 10 years. All about the money, I guess. First, it was near impossible to get through to schedule an appointment. Then, the "first available" was more than four weeks out. I explained the situation (I wear daily contacts and my prescription had expired and I had one set of lenses left. Thanks EPMG!) After being seen in the Indio office, I was scheduled for another contact lens exam in Palm Desert. Later, I got an urgent call to come in in two days for a preliminary contact lens exam that someone forgot to schedule the first time around. ("Oh, you wear contacts?") So, I drove to Palm Desert for an appointment that lasted a whopping 10 minutes. After that, I went back to Indio the following Friday. The Optometrist was great, but again the staff dropped the ball. I heard him tell the office manager that this was a rush order. Well, it's been just under two weeks and the rush order still isn't here. Other than the O.D. and Optometrist I have seen, one at each location, the experience has been horrible. Apparently, another merger between companies has created this mess. The offices are brand new, as is the equipment, but that doesn't matter if patients are being treated like this. They have no doctors and the staff are pretty much all brand new and being trained on the job! Don't use them unless you are ready for being ignored and having excuses thrown at you. read more

my husband cataract surgery has been a nightmare! it took over 3 months to get him scheduled for the surgery then the night before the surgery the eye center called and informed us the machine was broken and we had to rescheduled. first they told us they rescheduled it for 3 months out AGAIN! He finally got the eye surgery then they scheduled him for the left eye, again 3 months out. the week before they call and say the doctor won't be in, ANOTHER DELAY. So they reschedule him for 3 months out. IT HAS BEEN SO EXHAUSTING now we are in 9 months to get the second surgery...They refuse to get you in any sooner than 3 months. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! THEY ALWAYS OVERBOOK so you WAIT 2 to 3 hours to be seen! Find another Eye Center. read more
