I had a large colored photo that was a gift for my brother framed at Aztec. The woman who helped us was a very pleasant. She gave us some great advice when it came to picking the Color and size of the mat. She drew our attention to the colors in the photo and what would complement the photo best. She was equally helpful when it came to selecting the frame. It was treat to work with someone who was kind took her time and never rushed the process. We are super happy with the outcome and can't wait to hang the photo read more

I purchased a print by Orange & Park many years ago that needed to be framed. Finding a frame with the proper dimensions was very difficult. Thankfully I came across Aztec Graphics. During Covid times I go I touch with Aztec Graphics to ask about getting my poster framed. Barbara was very responsive and responded to my email promptly. I finally arranged sometime to go into PB and get to the shop. They hand craft each frame with beautiful materials. As Barbara was working on framing I shopped the store a little. I came across a Shephard Fairy Obey poster that I've had my eyes on for many years. I was unable to afford a hand signed original at an art show at Ducky Waddles in Encintas. I decided to get the poster and have her frame it. Barbara and I chatted a bit and I learned a little more about her and husband Rick's journey to California from back East. They are the original owners and have been in business since 1983. Both the framed art was done beautifully. I highly recommend Aztec Graphics for any of your framing and or art needs. The framed art was really easy to hang and looks fantastic! Thanks so much for your help brining the art to my car with me. read more

I love this little shop. It's a gem in PB that not a lot of people have heard about. They sell every type of print you could ask for and with any frame you could every want. I always pop in here to get some sort of PB/San Diego local print to gift if someone is moving. We got it in to our head that we wanted a large navy frame that would go with our color scheme in our dining room. We picked out a print and got it framed. They were super patient with us through the entire process as we weren't too sure about size and color so had to take 3 trips to the store (we are SO indecisive). Each time they welcomed us and were as hell bent about having it done right as we were. We finally placed our order and it was ready in 1.5 weeks to pick up. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the frame and framing! We will definitely be back to get more prints!! read more

I needed an experienced, professional & quality framer to frame a small Master-level Thanka I brought back from a trek in Nepal. The quality of the Thangka was such that it could be back-lit & framed accordingly. This took significant expertise to do-it-right which Aztec Graphics had in-house. The end-result was wonderful. I also had a large Mandala framed which I brought back from a trek in Bhutan. The end-result was also wonderful. Thank you Tim, Barbara and your framer Liz for a job-well-done. I will be back. P.S. Go here for all your framing needs! I was lucky enough to have discovered this place before Black Friday because their sale was awesome! Even without a sale, I would gladly come here because their prices are reasonable, compared to Michael's & Aaron Brothers, & the customer service is top notch. Very friendly & knowledgable! This store sells Orange and Park prints & has customized frames to fit their prints! So for all you locals, come here & do not waste your money on shipping like I did! read more

Aztec Graphics is a business I highly recommend to all of my friends and family. I have been bringing projects to them for more than 10 years and the results have always been amazing. If you want to experience what the 70's were like, check out Aztec Graphics. It's like I'm back at PB middle school in the 70's. I was looking for Aaron Chang art and these guys have some of his last sold posters/prints. They have more Chang on their ebay site, but pretty unique prints in shop. They also have metal prints and Canadian framed art. They have it all...tapestries to high end framing...Aztec has it all. Old PB, real San Diego. They get 5 stars though for their service. My frame needed tightening, they made sure I was happy and stoked. Barbara and Tim - A+ Don't go anywhere else. If your not in PB, they are worth the drive. read more

I have owed Aztec Graphics this five-star review for too long. I have been going to Aztec Graphics for all of my framing needs for over five years, and would never dream of going anywhere else. The team at Aztec Graphics will take great time and care to professionally frame your artwork, unlike Michael's or Aaron Brothers, where some amateur will charge you an arm and leg to to do very basic work, in my experience and opinion. Once, I took in an intricate needlepoint piece my grandmother made for me was damaged during shipping to be reframed. Rather than reframing it, Aztec Graphics repaired the existing, custom frame (which my grandma had picked out) FREE OF CHARGE! I tried to pay, but they wouldn't hear of it. That is the kind of business Aztec Graphics is! Additionally, Aztec Graphics has an excellent selection of local art and prints. They always have a great stock of Orange & Park prints, and are part of the local flavor! I look forward to going to Aztec Graphics for all of my framing needs as long as I'm in San Diego! read more

I recently had my first print framed here, and they did an excellent job. They have a great selection of prints on hand, from a wide selection of genres, a decent amount of frame choices, prompt and responsive staff, not to mention great prices. The gentleman listened to my framing idea and provided great recommendations. Their time frame was spot on (I love that). The finished product was stellar. I'm 100% going back for sure. read more

Walked past this place a million times thinking it was just a college poster shop, spoiler alert...It is not! Aztec Graphics is owned by a great family and has been in business forever. The family's son was very knowledgeable and helped us frame a priceless to us picture. We also bought a couple of San Diego and California Orange & Park posters and frames. We are heading back this weekend to get some glass repaired on another picture that fell off the wall a few years ago. This place is sick! They offer a variety of paintings, pictures, and graphics of all kinds. They also have a ton of frames to choose for a custom finish. On top of all of that the prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely stop by and check this place out! read more

Short story: 10/10 business here in San Diego; They advised perfectly for my two unique Japanese Woodblock prints, handled the paper type properly (for longevity), saved me $$$$, fast turn around, and the vibe is right at the shop! Long story: A local artist and friend (Paul Binnie) made these amazing one of a kind woodblock prints of myself at Blacks beach in Summer Canyon which take 9 months to make, so to me these are priceless to me. Well I was originally advised to go to a different local framing store - I won't name names - (not Aztec Graphics) which wanted $500 per frame! wow I am ignorant but that was too steep of a price. So I went online to get more quotes from online options - won't name names - and after confirming that they could handle this particular paper type, sending my art across the country I was called and told "sorry, we actually can't". As you can guess I was upset and disappointed because I confirmed and now was thinking I had to spend $1000 on the framing for this art! Here comes the good part about Aztec Graphics; A friend recommended Aztec to me and I went, after my initial disappointment wore off, to find a great business with a better vibe, great prices, wide selection and totally left a few weeks later with my priceless art framed perfectly, priced great, fast turn around, and the paper type was handled properly! Highly recommend if you live in San Diego to come to Aztec Graphics. read more

I had originally taken my print to be framed but was not happy with the finished product. The owner(Barbara) of the business promptly contacted me to rectify the situation. I ended up upgrading the glass and crossed my fingers that I'd be happy with the redo. It came out perfectly and I was happy with the attention to detail. Barbara takes a lot of pride in her craft and turned a bad situation around quickly. Having other prints framed here from now on. read more

We brought in a large odd sized picture that needed framing. We were given help to find the frame style and colors that would go well with the room where it would live. The person that helped us was friendly and listened to what we said. We were given options and advice based on what we told him. He was very professional and we never felt rushed or that we were being talked into a certain style. I received the framed piece in 12 days. It is heavy and came with a quality hanging apparatus, not some cheap wire. I know pricing is subjective, but we felt like we got a deal. We were both extremely happy with the final product. I think my wife had tears in her eyes when she saw it. We also like that it is a family run small local business. read more

Aztec Graphics - Chicago Framed - Framing Near Me - San Diego, California

This is one of the better poster stores I have come across in a long time. I am very biased, however, because there are a few things that I specifically look for at places like this: 1. Cool greeting cards. (Check.) There was this collection of cards called "Kid Quotes" that cracked me up. In fact, most of the cards here were basically fancy packages for witty quotes. But that is fine by me. 2. Rothko. (Check.) A surprising amount of poster stores have either zero or very few Mark Rothko posters. Aztec Graphics had plenty. 3. Knowledgeable employees. (Unfortunately this is not a check.) The lady who worked here did not know how to pronounce "Basquiat." She even passive aggressively corrected me even though I pronounced it right. You know how people do that, say the same word you just said right after you said it, but over-enunciate it loudly instead of just flat-out telling you "No. Say That like This." I let it go at the time but it's definitely costing her a star now. AV read more

I am so impressed with Aztec Graphics! Husband bought me a print (from Orange & Park--google them!) for Christmas and we needed a 24x24 frame. Not your typical size and we looked everywhere locally for one. Orange & Park recommended Aztec Graphics for framing options, as they carry this coveted size. The employees were super friendly and helpful. They showed us the frame options and even framed our print for us. We actually purchased another print and frame combo and they switched out the print we already had for one of a different color, so both prints match. The service here is top notch and the prices are fair! I'd definitely make the drive from OC again if we needed something specific. Thanks Aztec! read more

Went here over the weekend to find some decor to spruce up my dining area/poker room. Barbara and the staff set me right up with picture suggestions, and framing options! It's a good idea to have a general idea of what u want before entering, that way the staff doesn't have to spend time showing every available print to you. The coolest part is they actually have a lot of standard size frames right there in the store to fit the prints they sell, so you don't have to pay a custom frame charge. But if a custom-size frame is what u want, they're on it. I also ended up finding some awesome hip panoramas for the living room as well! Key word here is selection. There's a little something for everyone at Aztec. I was framed and out the door in minutes at a total cost of around $48. Totally worth the drive. Best part is you can walk across the street to Luna Empanadas and get lunch w the $ you just saved. read more
