    Lava cake...

The food was spectacular, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. We had the top four of the top ten on their favorite list and a few other tapas. Party of seven and six of us from Texas and I would definitely go back on my next visit to Toronto. Best place I ate this week. We paired the lava cake with a Sarpa Di Poli Grappa - amazing!

Nice atmosphere (a little loud), good service, and food was good. Favourite was the risotto, scallops and the desserts.

Last Monday I had the pleasure of joining a friend for dinner at Azaria's. I don't normally dine out on Mondays so it was truly a treat. I was the first to arrive and was delighted to see people hanging out at the bar with cocktails. It felt so normal that I immediately felt the day fade away. I started with a glass of the Cabernet Sauvignon Headwind, such a good wine I intend to add it to my rotation at home. Then my friend and I figured our our dinner choices. I find it is best to order a few courses and share. We ended up with the lobster gnocchi, the green beans and the Kingsway beef sliders. My friend had never had the gnocchi( and trust me she's a regular) and although we didn't lick the plate we certainly wiped the dish clean. We concluded our feast with the gooey, moist and rich lava cake with a side of vanilla ice cream accompanied by decaf cappuccinos. The staff were welcoming, warm and engaged. We chatted happily with them as we indulged. The ambiance is upscale and current. Azaria's is a trusted favourite of mine and probably one of the better restaurants in the west end. They've never let me down. Prepare to leave with a full belly and a warm feeling of happiness.

DIY herbed oil - such a fun idea!!

We took my brother here for his birthday last month and absolutely loved this place! The owner and his staff were very welcoming and even offered us the prime booth in the middle of the restaurant for the three of us celebrating our special occasion (thank you!). I loved how they had fresh herbs, tiny scissors, and a little pot of olive oil at every table to DIY your own flavoured oil - such a simple but effective idea! We ordered many little plates of items (the restaurant is like tapas style), including amazing oysters (served with three different sauces), crispy fish tacos, something very similar to beef jerky (but waaaaaaay better), and an super yummy beet/goat cheese salad. Every dish was prepared with care and the flavours were awesome. The wine selection was awesome and they also had a range of craft beers on tap. To top it all off they even surprised my brother with a birthday dessert and awkward singing, which made him smile. All in all, this was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to return!

Overall really enjoyed Azarius. The tapas here were delicious and the service was great. I really loved the fresh basil plant on the table with the scissors to cut your own and put in the olive oil - what a fun and unique idea! We had many different tapas and most of them were delicious, a couple of them we didnt care for as much but that is just personal preference. I especially enjoyed the latkes with salmon. Prices felt a little bit high for some of the dishes but overall we were very happy with our experience.

Thanksgiving for one - following COVID guidelines made easy thanks to Azaria's.

Delicious food, great service and feels trendy. Great for a fun dinner out without having to go downtown. Not super kid friendly though.

Forreal though, the run Soho House had can only be rivaled by 2011-2015 Whole Foods. You really had to be there... but like any other prime, Father Time always catches up. I was set to do a full rise and fall piece on the Soho House right here on Yelp but in my research, I stumbled upon an article by Lydia Moynihan in the NY Post and she nailed it. I really didn't have much to add so go over and read that if you have a sec. Shoutout to Lydia. Instead, I'll just recap our experience here like any other boring Yelp Review. We came to this Toronto location before the Taylor Swift concert, and I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like prime Soho House. A beautiful, discrete brick building with an old school interior. Whoever designed this one needs a raise. I'm so tired of the cookie cutter half-assed modern architecture. The ones in LA and NY now feel like it is just a bunch of dorks trying to be seen by God knows who. There is no soul in those locations. We grabbed a drink in the lobby and went upstairs for our 5pm dinner. I domed a couple of negronis and we split a margherita pizza and a bottle of pinot noir before our mains arrived. I got the rigatoni, per the waitresses recommendation because she had a thick Italian accent. Big truss. She wasn't lying either, that rigatoni went crazy. I took like 30 pictures before a staff member came over and said no pictures, as I didn't know that was still a rule here... please don't beat me up. We closed dinner with a couple espresso martinis before setting off on foot to go see Big Tay put on a show. She really did her thing. Thank you Soho House Toronto, for giving me a taste of what the Soho House used to be in the states. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

They have a eclectic and faux rustic vibe going on with seating and sight lines set up so that you can watch who is in the room. Truly designed for today's busy d-bag to allow them to half listen to their guest over cocktails while they scan the room to see if someone more important has walked in. The food is meh and it feels like this place simply exists for indie film and local television producers to feel like they are a part of some scene. There are 200 better places to eat a short walk from here.

So after descending into this section of Toronto's extensive underground business district, we found this LCBO almost immediately. LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) must be the "free market" brand of what remains to be a Province controlled alcohol enterprise. Unlike the old Pennsylvania State stores, our LCBO experience was one of a clean and modern store, with helpful employees, a really nice selection (and purchase), and reasonable prices. I still prefer the more complete free market approach that Alberta has, but when in Rome. Our 2 chardonnay choices were: - J.
