This was our first visit to the restaurant, located in Old Town Camarillo. Very interesting and varied menu, labelled as Colombian/Peruvian fusion. We ordered the shrimp tacos and fried rice (Chaufa) with chicken, Cold beverage was a fresh mint drink with carrot and ginger added--very refreshing. Our dishes were very tasty and ample with the proteins. Service was excellent, food arrived quickly, and the venue was interesting modern, and well kept. Just a few minor issues for us popped up. 1. This is a pet peeve because we are A.K. (= old folks). This setting can be exceedingly noisy, even when partially filled. I know that younger generations seem to thrive in a noisy eating atmosphere. We find it a distracting problem that reduces our enjoyment of dining out. 2. Please print a duplicate copy of the bill, so customers have one to take home. 3.Timer for automatic restroom lights is way too short. Fortunately, I had one hand free to make a motion to reactivate the light. :-) read more

Locally owned business with a variety of plates from different Latino countries including Spain and Colombia. We have eaten here two ce now and were very happy each time. The chef is top notch and clearly has a passion and talent for creating excellent dishes. I've seen a few reviews here complaining it's not " authentic" food, I can't speak to that but I can say that quality of the food I have had is excellent and well prepared. The attention to the plating shows just how passionate the chef is about their creations and their love for the food that they are putting in front of you. REALLY DELICIOUS FOOD! I stopped in just by chance while I was waiting for a tire to be changed. What an unexpected treat. This place is brand new and family owned. After ordering they bring you these adorable little bowls of sliced fruit while you wait for your meal. I had the steak and eggs and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Get this- their steak and eggs also come with sausage and bacon in addition to potatoes! The people next to me had sandwiches which they couldn't stop raving about. Super cute delish Columbian restaurant- I was so excited to see this restaurant because I saw it getting built and I didn't know what to expect when I found out it was a Colombian restaurant I was super excited because one of my old friends was Colombian and had the best herbs and spices in her recipes! in old town Camarillo this restaurant really bring some culture into the area with great delicious foods. I tried on a weekend during brunch so that I could sample a little bit of each cuisine type. My other party had steak and eggs and I had a chicken roasted sandwich, and we shared a cheese Arepa that was handmade. Seasoning was on point. The coffee was amazing in the French press and that can be hit or miss at many. Everything just as expected was super delicious and tasty. The ambience feels very casual and because there were only chairs and tables with three other parties in the restaurant it can get super loud and echoey, feels like you are in a box, so, if you have loud friends try to order to go. I would say the portions are dependent on what type of dish you order the steak and eggs was the slices of steak and two eggs, and it came with the side of sausage and bacon, but we opted for a different side because it was too much meat, so not sure how that really Looks like its original state. Dinner last Friday was wonderful in this new addition to Camarillo. The menu choices are not something you see on a regular menu in Camarillo , duck , lamb , bone marrow , Peruvian ceviche and octopus. Every table was ordering octopus and I know why. It was the best we've ever had. wine corkage is 15$. Bring your own wine and enjoy and meal that won't disappoint . Hamburger was cooked to perfection nice and juicy with all the trimmings. Fried egg,avocado, grilled onion arugula and mushrooms sooo good w home fries. Just like the other Yelp reviews this place is amazing! It's art on your plate and the flavors come together perfectly! The prices are on the higher end but the quality you receive and the party in your mouth is all worth it. No alcohol but a wide selection of teas and drinks. Hopefully one day they can serve a nice chilled glass of Sangria bc this will pair nicely with the menu options. The menu itself is on the smaller size which gives them the opportunity to perfect the dishes (and they did)! Service was amazing, ambiance is cozy and the chef was the star of the night. We tried a little bit of everything. Photos also attached and also dessert. Don't trust that person who gave the only 1 star review beneath me, clearly was a missed opportunity. This morning was our first time here and I'm so glad we gave it a try! It's an adorable little spot with minimal decor, well kept and clean. Been meaning to try this place and maybe it was fate but we had plans to be in Camarillo, my wife mentioned it, and Yelp recommended it as a new place to try. So we visited this morning for lunch and ordered the French press coffee, Chaufa with pork belly, and criollos. The Chaufa is essentially fried rice with eggs and choice of protein. I opted for the pork belly as I thought the saltiness and crunch would be a nice contrast with the rice. I wasn't wrong and they serve a very crispy slice of whole pork belly that shreds easily with a fork. It comes plates in a Instagram able aesthetic, my preference would be to actually chop up the pork belly and mix it in with the rice which was a little tough with the knives they give you. I'd prefer to have a proper steak knife. That's really my only piece of constructive feedback though as the rice was cooked perfectly , the vegetables of peas, corn, red onions and fresh tomatoes was pleasant and the egg was cooked perfectly. The pork belly wasn't overly fatty or too salty and has a satisfying crunch. It is a rather large entree so this may actually be a better choice to share with a party as a side and order other items on the menu. The French press coffee was pleasant, they offer sugar and cream with it, but I drank it black and it was good on its own. My wife has the criollos , I didn't have a bite so can't comment on the taste but they said the eggs were cooked well and she ate the whole thing so I would say that it's definitely a good dish, the steak looked really good. We were too full for dessert but they have a few tasty looking options and they had a board with a lomo saltado special which could be interesting to try as well. There are a few tables inside and is decorated with plants which gives it a vibrant and cozy feel. Service was super friendly as well and checked in on us at the right times. Once you're done you get a bill at the table and we were checked out using a card reader at our table. For sure worth a visit and I'll probably be back. For those familiar with old town camarillo. Very well prepared quality food. The care and effort that goes into preparing each dish is noticeable. Everything we ate was very tasty. The menu is partially seasonal and based on local fresh ingredients available. The staff is very friendly. A very casual sit down and relax type of environment. A bit pricey but when you consider the quality of food, service, and location it is fair. I wish they served wine; however, they do serve fresh made non-alcoholic drinks and the wine closet is across the street. So. I was looking for a place, on May 5, to have about 30 people join me in celebrating two of my kids first communion and found this place very accommodating. They completely provided a section to sit all my family and friends. Everyone was so amazed at the service and food. I paid everyone's bill and they got a 30 percent tip for doing a flawless job. I've been waiting for this place to open. I'm so glad Camarillo now has a different cuisine. We tried ceviche, broccoli soup, and fried rice. The ceviche was too salty for us, but the chucks of fish were nice size! The broccoli soup was lighter than most other places, and that was a welcome twist! That proved Broccoli soup doesn't need so much cream to be delectable. I didn't mention the octopus, because I was saving best for last. The flavor was great blend of spices. But the winning effect was the crunchy outside with perfectly cooked interior. So many places overcook and the outcome is much too dry. Service was so pleasant. So we can ordered from the bfast menu . We had the fig toast and the veggie omelette and we were very happy!! Fig toast was "perfect", just the right amount of figs, goat cheese, arugula and toasted perfectly. Our veggie omelette had the right amount of everything and when you don't have to add anything to your food, you know it was done right! The restaurant was very clean and well organized.
