Chuck is the absolute best. He has been my go to onan generator repair guy for a few years now. He's helped us with all sorts of fault codes, carburetor problems, control board problems, fuel pump problems, Flywheel Cuppling replacement, belt replacemets, pully wheel replacement & all sorts of other stuff. After our old Onan 7000 watt generator started having cylinder problems (expensive to fix) we opted to buy a new Onan 7HGJAE-2132 which we were able to buy it directly through Chuck & he came & swapped out our old one for us. Chuck is a wealth of knowledge & explains everything he needs to fix (in terms that are understandable.) He is an all around nice guy & although it always sucked to have my generator breakdown it has always been an enjoyable experience getting to visit & chat about all sorts of stuff with Chuck. I recently purchased another brand of generator & the way our electricians wired it to our breaker was all screwed up somehow. 2 electricians couldn't figure out how to balance the loads on our 2 legs & their solution was that my 7600 (running) watt generator wasn't enough power I got in contact with Chuck & he was able to get me squared away in about 30 minutes, he truly is a generator wizard. Chuck the owner scheduled a service call within 24 hours of my contacting the company and came to me in Cave Creek, with his assistant, Rick. Very nice people. When he checked my RV generator he determined the likely cause of the breakdown and referred me to another service company who specialized in older Onan generators like mine and would have access to parts he didn't have. Turns out, I had used the person he referred me to, 10 years ago. Chuck doesn't charge a service call fee if you're within his large service area and $125/hour labor. More than fair these days. He did not charge for his service call and was happy to provide the contact info for the other service company. Would highly recommend for their integrity and prompt response to my service request. read more

The generator whisperer. Chuck loves generators as much as I love AC in the Arizona heat. I'm almost speechless. Chuck did a job in three hours (in the dark) that the big boys quoted me 12 hours. $2600 or $600 including parts. Do not waste your time paying for nice buildings with a bunch of salaries walking around. Chuck fixed my generator faster and for less $ than the other guys charged me to tell me what I already knew and how much more money to put in a single part. And it runs like new! read more

Wow, I'm stunned, there is actually an honest, fair business person in the state of Arizona. Called Chuck to look at my RV generator which wouldn't start and was spitting fuel when I tried to get it going. Very rarely do I post regarding a company or service provider as I figure I'm paying for that companies product or that service and I should be getting what I'm paying for more or less. Every once in awhile though, someone goes the extra mile or spends extra time to provide me with exceptional service or goes beyond the scope of their duty to make me happy. CHARLES and AZ Generator deserves a good positive review and much more. About 8 months ago I bought a new RV in Arizona. I live in Southern California and purchased out of state because of greed and nonsense the dealers put you thru in my home state. Shortly after purchasing the RV I began to have problems with my Onan 5500 Generator and made the long tow from Calif to Arizona for warranty repair. Charles was the tech that repaired my gen. He ended up fixing multiple issues, one of which was an assembly problem from the factory causing the gen to not get fuel because of a kinked fuel line. He thought the problem was fixed and I took the coach back to California. A short time later I began having a different issue with the gen and took it back to Charles to deal with. He diagnosed the problem and changed the carburetor. I took the coach home and on my next camping trip, ran into the same generator problem but with a different trouble code. I notified Charles and he walked me thru different adjustments and was extremely patient. He answered a ton of my dumb questions and never made me feel that I was bothering him. When he determined that the new carburetor he just installed probably had a bad float, he offered to come to me. He's 3.5 hours away and was more concerned about fixing my problem and making me happy than the distance or personal cost to him. You just don't get that kind of service these days. At least I don't. Charles is a very nice person and truly cares about his customers. Anyone else would have told me to bring the coach back or find someone closer to my area to obtain warranty repairs. But I trusted him and only wanted one hand in the pot. Nobody else would have cared but he recognized that I had already spent quite a lot of money getting the RV to him for warranty repair and was willing to help me out by making the trip himself. I just want to personally thank Charles and AZ Generator for their attention to detail. This is a guy that knows his business and is willing to educate you and help you maintain your equipment where others want you in and out as fast as possible so they can move onto the next job. Could not recommend a service company more. Chuck let us know before hand the cost of both labor and parts that would be needed to fix are generator. Not only did he fix the generator in record speed he took time to educate me on what happened, why it happened and how to prevent it in the future. Although his message says he will return calls, don't believe it. If you need immediate assistance, don't waste your time with this guy.
