But little by little I'm building up and getting more comfortable. I'm really looking forward to trying the Transitions CorePower 1.5 class and eventually working my way up to CP2! My absolute favorite classes so far are CP1 candlelight with Geraldine on Tuesdays and CP1 with Winnie on Saturdays. They're both amazing instructors, super motivating, supportive, and make every class such a positive experience. The studio itself is great. Big, clean, and really welcoming. Everyone is always super welcoming and has a smile on their face. Overall, I love this place and I'm so glad I gave it a try.

The class was small with the same number of students as instructors, about 12 people total. I received helpful hands-on assistance by an instructor during the class for a balancing pose. The class was nicely heated 97-98 degrees and the flow was a good challenge since I don't practice too regularly. Parking can be a menace so come a bit early to weave through the busy shopping plaza to the far side of the parking lot (go past the Wholefoods and all the way over to the Il Fornaio restaurant side). Then take a 5 min walk over to the second floor of the building where corepower is located.

Initially, the description did not say that the class was heated so imagine my surprise when we both went into the room and it was HOT. The class itself wasn't too hard but it eventually got too hot my friend and I that we had to step out 30 mins in. The front staff was actually kind enough to recommend other classes that were low heat and low intensity free of charge since we weren't able to finish the class. Great classes and instructors!…read more Been coming for a half a year now and really enjoy the diversity of classes. There's a range of levels, so it's easy to find something that works for you. My favorite instructors are Diana and Taylor - both their classes feel challenging and are a great workout! The facility is very clean and includes a bathroom, storage area, and a water station. At first, I was worried about leaving my stuff since there are no locks, but haven't had any issues so far! The check in process is seamless through an iPad and there's usually someone at the from desk if you have any questions. The yogasix app is really easy to use, so booking classes is a breeze. The only feedback I have is that the cancellation period feels really strict. You need to cancel within 8 hours of the class which feels extremely long and is a lot less flexible than other workout classes. This is the biggest pain point for me and I wish it was shorter. As far as I know, this applies to ALL yogasix studios and is not unique to this location.

I've seen instructors let people in up to 5+ minutes late and keep the class 5 minutes over without issue and felt that this was unfair on the whole. The worse part yet was that the instructor came out to tell us 10+ minutes after us waiting that because we were late, we were not welcome tonight...further rubbed salt to the wound by saying she had waited until 8:02 pm. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you intend to experience an inconsistency of the rules used based on favoritism and being a known regular member of the community. Small detail that goes a long way in a customer based business like yoga.

CorePower Yoga is a popular yoga studio with multiple locations. Lockers and shower areas available. Gift store is decent. There are many different yoga classes to choose from and each provides various exercising yoga forms and stretches to follow. Low mid high intensity workouts. Their program calendar looks amazing and fun. I came in for the one week trial free classes and was grateful for the opportunity to check it out. Great new year resolution with new body goals. I picked high intensity Yoga Sculpt. Full body yoga and cardio workout sweating bullets afterwards. It was a blast and an eye opening experience. It was much better than I had expected. This is hardcore work with high energy music. Yes, you're lifting weights with your arms & legs, as well as doing cardio stretches and more. Totally worth every inch of sweating. Instructor was high energy, motivated & dedicated. She cranked up the heater too/room was hot and good for sweatier results. Must love! People attending the classes are usually working middle class folks and locals. Mature audience. Co-ed/male & female students. Good sized class with 20-30 people desiring a great new year morning yoga workout. Feels very good so far. Yes, everyone is close to each other in space, but floor is marked and you'll definitely feel body heat during the workouts. Some people would want more spread out space especially if they feel too cramped together. Classes and membership fees are pricey, but I can see very good vibes and very good energy here. Natural lighting huge windows. I'll try more sessions into the week. If you like large classes and full body workouts, this can be fun!

Be prepared to reinvent your relationship with your yoga practice…read more Rebel Rise is probably the only yoga studio I have been to that pays respects to the ancient practice and has a huge emphasis on community, all the while deepening and strengthening one's practice. The community here is like no other; the staff and practitioners are genuinely kind and welcoming and there is little space for ego here. The instructors are highly knowledgeable about the asanas and will offer you new ways to engage in your practice, such as making minor adjustments or putting you into proper alignment that will improve your poses like no other. Through engagement, awareness, and reminders to honor your body where it's at (listening to what it needs vs thinking about what you should look like), the instructors guide you to a feeling of fulfillment and relief and an overall appreciation of the sacred temple you call your body. I highly recommend Rebel Rise Studios for anyone that is looking to go deeper into their practice and for anyone seeking that mind-body connection. Definitely give this place a try with an open beginner's mind.

I was really disappointed with my first experience at Hot 8 Yoga in Santana Row…read more I booked the 5:45 p.m. class through ClassPass and unfortunately arrived late. Since it was my first time at this location, I accidentally parked in the wrong parking area and had difficulty finding the studio. I even tried calling while I was looking for it but no one answered my call. I completely understand that arriving late was my responsibility, and I understand that studios have policies regarding late entry. When I finally arrived, I apologized and explained what had happened. I was told that because I was past the five-minute grace period, I could not enter the class. When I walked out and checked my phone, it was 5:51 p.m. I accepted that I had missed the class and left. What really disappointed me was that once I got back to my car, I checked ClassPass and saw that Hot 8 Yoga had another class at 6:30 p.m. I wish the staff had simply said, "Unfortunately, we can't let you into this class, but we do have another class at 6:30 if you'd like to stay." That small gesture would have completely changed my experience. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and as though there was no interest in helping me, especially knowing that this was my first visit and that I had genuinely been trying to find the studio. I understand enforcing a policy, but customer service is also about how you treat someone when something goes wrong. My ClassPass credits were ultimately returned, which I appreciate, although I was still charged a cancellation fee. My frustration isn't about being denied entry after arriving late--I take responsibility for that. It's about the lack of effort to offer an alternative when another class was starting only 39 minutes later. Unfortunately, for a first-time customer, the interaction left me feeling like I wasn't wanted there, and it definitely discouraged me from wanting to return.

I saw multiple people look confused as to where to place things back. I asked if there were wipes so I could wipe down my station and was told that the entire studio was disinfected including every single weight, and all towels were washed. I was doubtful since some of the classes on the class schedule were back to back. So basically they're tone policing me and telling me I looked dissatisfied, and then REPORTED me over that. ****I would personally not recommend going to a studio where they ban people for asking questions and being cautious.**** I went to one class and they banned me for asking for help, which is wild. I came early with my coworker and was excited to work out with her. During the class I moved through all the movements and asked for a modification during a lunge. I also asked for help when I wasn't feeling a stretch at the end of class. The instructor simply said "well I guess you just won't feel it then" and walked away. Other than that, I did not interact with the instructor. 2 days later I received an email saying I was banned because of my "behavior toward the instructor." I think this decision was more about the instructor's ego than anything else. I definitely don't recommend coming here unless you are someone with no fitness background and would rather be in silent pain than ask for help. And don't even bother if you have any sort of problems at all! Knee injury? Back pain? "Guess you just won't feel it then." I also want to share that I had an alternative experience at a local yoga studio where I was tentative about things and despite that, everyone made me feel incredibly welcome and invited me back. Even though it wasn't my cup of tea, I gave it a fair shot and have nothing but great things to say about the studio and team there and reviewed it accordingly. It really doesn't have to end this way, but some businesses are just really feedback-averse and that's disappointing to see.
