My sister and her husband have also been seeing Dr.Sheldon because they see she truly cares and will be hard pressed to find an equal in knowledge, care, follow-up, staff and so many other things. If I didn't live on the other side of town she would hands down be my doctor of choice. I love that she does not roll her eyes when we explain we are taking a complementary medicine approach to preventative medicine. Working mom of littles who took time off work to be at my physical this afternoon. I ran in and looked at my phone what was 1:34- with my appointment at 1:30. The "medical assistant" Ashley did not make any eye contact with me, say hello or address me by name. She is usually this terrible, rude and abrasive - the only reason I have stayed this long with this office is for Dr. Sheldon- but now I am done. She was just staring at her screen typing, 0 eye contact. Said its 1:37, your appointment is cancelled. We have no grace period. I was still in awe and how cold and rude she was. She came back to say I would have to sit and wait another 2 hours for my appt to be pushed to 3:30. I asked to speak with a manager, the usual made up response " she is not available" I asked where in their policy or contract does it state there is no grace period? Could there be some exception? I am a long time established patient, and it was completely empty. She said you signed something that there is no grace period. I did? Please show me such documentation, or documentation which reflects your office 0 grace period/policy. She started to scramble to print something on their office policy. She could not make sense of what she printed, what so ever. So she walked up to another employee, pointed to language, and her co-worker was just as clueless. I was never given that documentation about this policy. Her "supervisor" Claudia came back stating I was giving her employee a hard time, and also told me to sit and wait for said "office policy" Ashley's demeanor was terrible, so incredibly rude- 0 empathy for working in a doctors office around sick or fragile people. Claudia was just as bad, terrible manners, agressive with no solution despite being a manager. You would think shed approach me with a different mentality to make the alleviate the situation- they probably do this every day. Deflect. I hope there are some repercussion for the way they treat people, and will work on elevating this concern so there are some changes that do not affect others like me. She was always communicative and really tried to get down to the bottom of things. I did however often have to wait a long time for virtual visits. Dr Parra left the practice and I have now see Dr. Yam one time virtually and one time in person. She seems to be a great Dr. I feel very comfortable with her and she is just generally positive and a Dr you would never dread seeing. Unfortunately, I continue to have some health issues but Dr. Yam called me directly when the office was closed during the Christmas holiday to follow up on some recent blood work. I was blown away that she took that time and called me directly. I look forward to continuing to work with her.

They are rude, they don't really acknowledge you. Recently one of the biggest issue is I had called to tell them I need to update my pharmacy, they had told me to email them the updates. However after my PCP visit I was suppose to get some medications, I waited about 2 weeks for the medication to be filled because I thought it took some time only to realize, that they had changed my pharmacy to a pharmacy that does not exisit in montebello that doesnt exist even, when strictly the email was regarding monterey park with specific instruction. When asked if they can do something about this situation as I do need the medication, they said that the provider is out of office and they cannot do anything about it. How is this the care they give, multiple time of negligence, and carelessness not to mention not being kind at all when I am talking with the front desk when I am there is just disappointing. I am quite frustrated as it used to be my favorite place to recommend people, now I can't even recommend anyone. Its hard to get a hold of anyone on days the office is closed, but its even harder to get a hold of someone when the office is open when i am off as well. And there isn't quite a grace period when you are late, and this structure have impossible parking - which makes it even harder. Even when I'm stressed, she can make me laugh. I like how she takes time each visit to talk with me about my health concerns and her quick response to phone requests, such as refill prescriptions or referrals. Getting an appointment has been easy for the most part. In the middle of flu season it's tough for same day appointments, but otherwise I have been able to get an appointment quickly if it's urgent. Dr. Yang even agreed one time to see me during the office's lunch hour. I have also had short waits once arriving to my appointment. She is caring , attentive and has always gone above and beyond what we have been forced to be accustomed to in modern medicine.
